Jews are an ethnoreligious group. Jewishness can refer to the religion, ethnicity, or culture. Historically, Jews in various regions isolated themselves from the dominant culture and preserved their own traditions. This caused distinct traits to develop because there was little intermarriage with gentiles. There are three different distinct ethnic groups that are Jewish. The fucked up part isn't the laws that they broke. It's the fact that they are legally being tried as adults for hiring a minor (themselves).
