It's much worse than that. The words "misandry" and "misandrist" are underlined in my spell-check. And we're supposedly living in a "patriarchy" lol.

Would have been more effective without the skimpy clothes, but I suppose she chose her attire to maximize views (and probably piss off feminists). Great message though. It's very refreshing to see a woman standing up for men. The interesting thing about the rise of the MRM is that it coincides with "privilege" theory and an explosion in anti-male rhetoric implying that men are useless oppressors. Historically, men have been willing to take almost unbelievable amounts of abuse in exchange for a m…

No. They don't. 99% plus of power plant operators, distributors, and dispatchers are men. 91% of the nation’s electrical engineers are men 97.6% of electrical power line installers and maintenance workers are men. 95.5% of water and liquid waste treatment plant and system operators are men. 95.9% of aircraft pilots and flight engineers are men 98.4% of aircraft mechanics and service technicians are men. 99% plus of air traffic controllers and airfield operations specialists are men. 100% of loco…

Thanks for the post. The "sex-positive" feminist does an excellent job of refuting arguments in favour of the Nordic Model. However, since she is a feminist, she naturally makes a number of errors/assumptions that warrant further scrutiny. Many concerns have been raised about the law’s ill effects upon women – often by the very women the laws affect. Tellingly, very FEW concerns have been raised about the law's ill effects upon men -- not only male prostitutes but male clients. Let's take an ext…

There were laws in colonial Jamestown prohibiting men hitting their wives and (interestingly) wives hitting their husbands. So thanks to feminism we've actually gone backwards from the 17th century.

Men are useless. Except for the fact that without men, civilization would collapse in about a week. Perhaps you should show some gratitude for the men providing you with electricity so you can type these comments.

She's throwing parties, with our 6 month old infant son asleep upstairs, has a new guy in her life that is stopping at their house (her mums - she's moved back there), she's drinking a lot, left him alone this weekend with her brother. Not overnight, threw the party saturday night, and then went to an event on sunday. She is acting irresponsibly and this is no environment for a child to be brought up in. Social services are an option but all they will do is go round and check, and it's not like …

unless you're playing lead guitar for AC/DC, that's not acceptable work attire. :D

Both Chomsky and Hedges are self described anarchists.

It is telling that the feminist twice refused to answer Milo's question of how exactly the "problem" should be solved -- ie should women be paid the same as men for doing less work? At one point she did sorta suggest as much by saying that women aren't actually doing less work, rather they are "burdened" with performing more child-care. A few questions: if child-care is such a profound burden compared to eg office work, why do recent polls suggest that becoming a housewife is the "new American d…

It's a good example of feminists making assumptions about the way men think and getting it completely wrong. As per usual. It might even be an example of projection, that is, a feminist projecting her own views of men-as-utility object onto men themselves. No one regards a potential life partner in the manner of a car.

It's really bizarre. What are they teaching these kids in school? That "cis straight white males" are evil? If the intention of their teachers is to encourage empathy for minorities they are clearly going about it the wrong way. You don't create empathy for one group by encouraging hate against another group.

Why are the faces blacked out? These people need to be publicly shamed. It's the only language they understand.

I agree with your points. But here's the problem. Feminists are indeed willing to engage in internal dialogue and criticism when it comes to issues affecting women, but they refuse to do so when it comes to issues affecting men. Thus, now that it is widely accepted that decriminalizing sex workers would improve their safety, many feminists are willing to re-examine ideas about prostitution. But they don't give a shit about men being arrested for solicitation. They are willing to criticize the hi…

The comments on the article are a fascinating example of just how much empathy people have for women. There are dozens of commentors expressing outrage that she received a life sentence. She was on meth! She can be rehabilitated! She's actually a good mom! She just made a mistake castrating her son! It's hard to imagine similar comments if the story entailed a father slicing out his daughter's vagina. What a horrible story.
