To be honest, I've been in that situation before. When you are in bed and comfortable and someone is there with you, even if you just want to sleep/cuddle, it's easy to get an erection. Sometimes it can be misinterpreted.

Because by defining people in gender roles, for instance, by complaining that all of the girl's toys aisles are dolls, and saying this is wrong, they try to put people/remove people from the specific gender 'boxes' they feel the most comfortable in. Esentially, they are trying to define how other people and children should act, while decrying others for doing the same to them. It's a double standard.

Yes it is, but they use the gender roles theory with which to peddle their views, which I feel is wrong.

I dismiss gender roles, but I am more of a marxist than a conservative. Is dismissing gender roles bad, or only bad if you are a conservative anti-feminist?

Frankly, I chose to reject gender roles as a theory a long time ago. People are too complicated to be fit into boxes like that. People have called me gay before because I fit into a certain gender role, according to them, when it's just me choosing to act the way I feel most comfortable. I think the sooner we remove the concept of gender roles altogether, both attempting to break and reinforce them respectively, the more people will feel the ability to choose their own sexuality. I'm tired of fe…

So what theyre saying is, women conform to certain stereotypes, for instance, not being nerdy, and also theyre all good at dancing. I find it hilariously ironic also that the only people writing about white old men scientists being negative stereotypes are all, in fact, white, middle aged feminist women. I think what we need is some more positive stereotypes in the feminist movement guys, maybe some white older male scientists, for example.

I love the way that many feminists objectify us by saying we act the way we do only because of our testicles. It's almost like they're shaming us because of our bodies. We should start a 'ball walk' parade where we all dress up as giant pairs of testicles and walk around the streets shouting THESE THINGS DON'T DEFINE US because that would really show them.

"I work for GS in the LA area. I am happy to report to all of you that this bitch has been fired as of today. She was a cunt to work for, and trust me when I say that we are all happy that she is gone. Also, she has done worse than just this. Just last year she was under investigation for fudging the numbers in her books because money and games were coming up missing. She talked her way out of it and pegged it on an innocent girl who just killed herself this past May. Burn in hell Chrys."

The utter irony is, sir, that you spend your time trying so ardently to change our minds, yet will not even think about reading the sidebar and trying to change your own. Again, we don't hate woman, that is a lazy argument and one with absolutely no base whatsoever. Criticising feminism and the actions of some women does not make you a misogynist. We don't hate anyone, unless they say something so utterly cruel they deserve it.
/r/MensRights19/09/13 08:46 AM
7

First off, I think you comparing women to slaves is incredibly insensitive to the people who suffered under slavery, and is a pretty ignorant thing to say. Second, we don't hate women, we have many women in our ranks who agree with us. It's a lazy argument to say we hate women, because it's simply not true. Again, your arguments have been rebutted time and time again, and there are hundreds of counter arguments out there to the points you raise, we have heard it ALL before.
/r/MensRights19/09/13 08:29 AM

You are asking the same questions thousands of people have asked before and been rebutted time and time again by reasoned arguments. If you have not come here to troll, and instead to actually learn, I suggest going and reading some of the links provided in the sidebar. Of course, you are free to keep commenting and getting rebutted time and again if you like, because your arguments aren't exactly anything we haven't learned to dismiss as foolish by rote anyway.

I find it fucking hilarious that they call the one woman in his cabinet a 'token woman'. Do they not see the irony there? HOW CAN THEY NOT SEE IT? 'This woman must be a token woman because there is only one of her, so he should elect more women in order to bring equality to the cabinet' I just don't even know how these people get dressed in the morning

You interpreted the question one way, and I interpreted it another. The way I first read the question is more important because it's the way I would answer on a questionnaire like this. There have been some times I have had sex because I didn't want to upset the girl and give her self-esteem issues when I would rather not have had sex at the time. I certainly wasn't into it, and if I had been selfish, I would have said no. So, no I didn't consent, I was coerced, to some extent, so as not to hurt…

People should be able to dress how they like, but feminists love to use that as an excuse to promote their idea of rape culture, and call people rape apologists for anything they feel like. Slut walk is the epitomy of feminist hypocrisy, in my opinion.

To me, it has nothing to do with being naked around women. I'm comfortable being naked, I don't mind it at all. When someone says that it is their RIGHT to see me naked, or half clothed, because otherwise it would be sexist, then I would have to ask them to take their top off. No one has the right to see me getting changed. I don't care what the premise is. If I am uncomfortable with a gay man, a straight man, a gay woman, or a straight woman watching me get undressed, telling me they have the r…

There was a poster up for the slut walk in my flat last year. I know none of my roommates put it up, so I took it down and threw it in the bin. I feel a bit guilty about it now, to be honest, but it was in the kitchen and fuck that i'm not staring at that shit all day

I'm sorry but this doesn't 'prove' anything. All it proves is that of the little we have found in the archaeological record of these people, there seems to be a trend in giving women sophisticated burial rights. There is a MASSIVE trend over the past few years in something called 'feminist' archaeology, where there are concerted efforts made by mostly feminist scholars to attempt to find women in the archaeological record. The article gives no real academic references to show why these people we…

Women now have the choice to stay at home if they wish, and the choice to work too. 50 years ago that wasn't accepted. The women stayed home. I would rather have the choice to work, even if it was a cross to bear. I can relate to that. Plus, cooking, cleaning, looking after the kids ect was not a walk in the park in the 50's and 60's. It was a fairly full time job itself. Not to say it's not hard today, but it's certainly ogtten easier with modern tech
/r/MensRights16/08/13 09:07 AM
20

I actually agree with you to be honest. My point was to point out how ridiculous that statement is, when you consider how women were treated in the 60's compared to now. Women have no right to feel more oppressed than they did 50 years ago, they have it far easier. Feminism indoctrinates them into the notion of finding oppression where it does not exist, and her statement sums up perfectly why feminism is damaging for western women.

implying ANYONE needs to be told not to rape is still wrong. Yes it is gender neutral. So what? Are we saying that just because its gender neutral, men AND women need to be taught not to rape? No, of course not. Let's not take a thrown bone just because it is one step in the right direction. The point about men not needing to be taught not to rape is just as important in this context as in any other we have argued against

It's fairly long, but it's hard to distinguish where he stops focusing on the actual game and starts looking at the broader issues. I think it's worth watching the whole thing, because he gives an interesting opinion on the reviewers who make these 'anti-misogyny' reviews too. If you are not much of a gamer, or don't have a lot of time, don't bother with this, but I found it interesting

I'm pretty sure these politicians know exactly what the 77 cents means, they do it because they know they will gain votes by saying they will smack down on this kind of discrimination, when in practice, by saying it all they are doing is saying they will make sure buisnesses do what they're already doing

Because it's glossed over time and again, girls aren't mentioned as having low attendance, yet the article mentions that gender and race comes into the question. You know this means that it's boys being hit the hardest, and they try to downplay it Instead of the article being focused on boys, like it should be, it is focused on pupils. I asked the same question in a thread the other day. I think it is a slippery slope we fall down when we start broadening the definition of rape. We have sen it before with women doing it; according to them, pretty much any interation is rape now. If we were feminists? Hell yes this would be rape. But we're not, and it isn't. It's still a sick and twisted crime that you should get locked up for, but it isn't rape. You can't take consent away after the fact

The second she said 'if you are against feminism you are against rights for women', or basically meaning that, I thought but surely by that logic, being against the MRM is basically being against rights for men, isn't how that works? I love the way women try to define what friendzoning is, when they have no fucking idea what it's like to be a man. Friendzoning isnt about getting sex, believe it or not, it's about having strong feelings for someone, and that person cultivating those feelings to take advantage of you as a friend, while having absolutely no intention to actually go any further. Men like to BBQ, what's wrong with that? If a woman came up to me while setting it up and asked to help then she is more than welcome to. What's stopping them? Maybe because it can be a dirty process and after setting it up, one would expect to be able to do the fun bit afterwards.

I think people don't realise what it means, because we don't see the world through feminist tinted glasses. They would grab hold of a story like this and shake the hell out of it, force the media to pay attention, force governmental involvement in the case. I agree, it could well be disturbing, but in a world where we are constantly barraged by messages that say men are the only ones who can stop rape, the opposite message will probably get people to thinking about the flip side of the message. No I agree absolutely. My point was, by ousting the double standard in the original posters, we both take steps towards making people aware of the fact these false rape claims exist, and also say 'hey, it's not okay to treat a gender this way'. The poster does nothing to prevent false rape claims directly, what it does it bring to light the fact these claims exist, and don't make the argument so one sided.

I disagree. The first posters were done by themselves, with no counter, and no 'balance'. It is only right to say 'but this isn't fair!' because it isn't. You are targetting one gender. Whats more, you are targetting the gender which is always targetted in these situations. I think it is okay to think hey its cool, I agree with these posters more, because their message is never heard in a public setting, and it is doing something to balance it out. And in many situations, there is probably nothing the victim could have done to avoid their fate. Yet, in some cases, there could well have been something the victim could have done, or not done. Until we can say, FOR CERTAIN that there is nothing the victim could or should have been doing to avoid being sexually assaulted, we cannot say it was unavoidable. BUT there is a huge difference between most crimes (I’ll use mugging as an example) and rape. Muggers have a goal. They want your shit. They use intimidation and violence to take that shit. So if you don’t want to get mugged, you don’t wave your expensive shit around in a bad neighborhood. With rape, there isn’t a …

I had a female bully at school. She wasn't the worst, but it often felt that way. When confronted with a boy saying a girl did something to him, and a girl crying saying the boy pushed her over, guess who is getting the blame.

The effect feminism has on women is, BY FAR the worst thing that has come out of the movement. When I was a bit younger (and stupider) I got mugged on the way home by a bigger teenager. Instead of just doing the smart thing and handing over the 10 quid in my pocket, the only thing i had on me, I told the guy the only way he was going to get the tenner off of me was from out of his own arse. I thought that was pretty funny. I was 17 at the time and lived in a fairly rough neighbourhood, and I was…

oppression as a word can mean a million different things. I think you covered many of the arguments myself and other MRA's make quite well. However, to say that women were NEVER been oppressed is intellectually lazy, just as it would be intellectually lazy for a feminist to say men have never been oppressed. I think it matters hugely WHY she doesn't want to have the child. If it is a matter of the pregnancy, then I feel there is litle you can do. It is her body after all. If it is responsibility of the child afterwards, it depends what your situation is with her, if you are willing to stay with her even after she has aborted your child. If you are not, tell her you are willing to take full custody of the kid and walk away from her.

If I can go off-tangent a second, and observe that it's interesting how you noticed that those 'rape threats' were in fact nothing of the sort. Sexist? yes. Violent? yes. But not rape threats. Perhaps there are other people doing the same thing you did, which potentially inflates people's views on how many rape threats are actually put out. I have actually seen it before but not thought of it like that. As for the "you go girl" thing, it's not strictly that statement, but the mentality that goes…

First off, I have to call you up on the rape threats. If there was a genuine, public threat of rape directly towards an MP's twitter, the suspect would be arrested. What we actually get when we follow your link is one or two admittedly sexist quotes, such as: "Mensch. Unfortunately, I would." which, I suppose given a feminist imagination could be turned into a rape threat. and stuff like this: "I'd love to hit Louise Mensch in the face with a hammer." Which is neither sexist or a rape threat. I …

I'm an MRA because after three months of college, I could smell the intellectual dishonesty of feminism from a mile off. After I started reading into it, joining the MRM was the next logical step. Men get told from a very early age how to act towards women, how to treat women, how women are untouchable, if you upset a woman, you are ALWAYS in the wrong. It made me angry, and after coming to uni these things just got worse and worse. I decided that I was going to buck the trend and start debating…

I see not how 'conceding' as you put it has anything to do with sinking to their level. We have no need to concede to anything while still maintaining a calm demeanour and uncensored approach. Your argument falls over I am afraid. By conceding to them, we condone the kind of tactics like censorship which they engage in. We are the ones with the moral high ground. If she is correct that women will never change, then clearly, as a potential abuse victim, it is only right that the man become abusive in return. Of course it would, but people dont give a fucking shit about young boys. Notice how the article focuses on the feelings of the accused, like she is the fucking victim in all of this. The media makes me sick

If you identify as a woman, your penis is not a sexual organ, and therefore cannot be taboo, so you can swing it about in public and if anyone is disgusted, they're opressing you? I get it now.

Women don't have penises, if a dress was well fitted to a woman, it would not make room for the penis.

I think you mean give birth. Women should have EVERY RIGHT to decide what happens with their bodies, but bringing a child into this world without the consent of the father will cause more pain for everyone in the long run. I think it is incredibly selfish to only take into account what the woman feels in the nine months of pregnancy and not take into account anything else. It is a woman's choice to bear the pain the comes with childbirth, and therefore to become a mother. The man should have the…

While your logic is correct, women still have legal ways to avoid becoming parents once the baby is concieved which men do not have, and this is an unfair double standard. If I wanted to be contentious, I could argue that your logic could be used to say that if a woman does not want to get raped, she should never put herself in a situation where rape is a possibility, like, say, wearing provocative clothing and walking down dark allies at night. But if we say that, we are oppressing women, and I…

/r/MensRights18/05/13 09:36 AM

not really, what if the condom breaks? If you feel that wearing a condom is a say in parenthood, what about if a woman lies to you about taking the pill? As far as you know, you have taken precautions to becoming a parent. The only way for a man to truly know he has not fathered a child is to never ejaculate. Because once he has, the situation is essentially out of his hands. This would be fine, except it is not the case for women, they get to choose if they are mothers or not. They get to have …
/r/MensRights18/05/13 12:15 AM

Because a woman who chooses to get an abortion is different to a woman who gets her fetus forcefully aborted. One thinks of the fetus as a hinderance to remove, the other thinks of it as a child who she is bringing into the world, and all the potential and possibilities that child represents. The mother who has no intention of aborting already has a child, it just needs to be born, for the woman who aborts, then nothing is lost but a few hours at a clinic.

I agree, we hear a lot about 'my body, my choice', but people seem to forget men should have that choice too. I should be able to have consentual, protected sex with someone and not still be afraid of the possible consequences, like women do.

A female who knows her place? What the fuck are you talking about? If this isn't a feminist troll, I really think you need to ask yourself why you feel you need to be subordinate to anyone. The fact that you use privilege and opression a million times leans me to the former. If not, then you really need to re-assess what the MRM is all about. It certainly isn't about letting women know their place, unless that place is 'as equal to men in every regard'.
/r/MensRights05/05/13 08:43 PM

I feel we have no buisness questioning anyone's gender identity or sexual orientation. The line, as far as I see it, goes from wishing someone not to be a part of the MRM based on their views, which may shift focus away from the core intent of the MRM, which I feel is acceptable, to wishing someone not be a part of the MRM based on purely superficial or personal factors. Saying 'I feel your cause does not intersect with the MRM, therefore you are not welcome' would be the same as not allowing so…

Thank you for the clarification. As far as it goes though, neither gender identity or sexual orientation makes any difference. I think the main legitimate concern MRA's have about transgenders in the movement is that they will shift focus away from what the MRM is all about, which I think is a valid concern to an extent, but I see no reason why you can't identify as an advocate for trans rights, ans still be an MRM. It's a sticky issue to be sure but as far as I'm concerned, only a minor one.

I would go one further and say it attempts to actively stifle any theory that does not fit into feminist theory because it undermines their ideology. Even the most basic feminist is guilty of doing this.

Well, yeah. Politics panders to whoever can give it the most votes. feminism is a massive part of society, it goes without saying that politicians will want to secure their vote by enacting policies which feminism favours.

There is no real definition of what MRA's actually are, but I think it would be fair to say most MRA's dont want to associate with bigots. I would call not accepting certain sexual orientations based purely on this alone, as bigoted. I'm happy to be corrected on this though. I don't want to feel like I am trying to speak for the MRM as a group either, but I would argue this would be the general consensus most MRA's would come to, once they have given the subject enough thought. there are 3x less men not getting jobs when leaving university than there are women. Consider, if you will, that the SINGULAR objective of any university is to ensure a decent career at the end of a degree, then it is wholly unprofessional and misandric to not have a men's officer to look into this issue by itself. We have a women's officer, and we don't have a men's. I don't call that egalitarian
/r/MensRights04/05/13 09:28 PM

It all comes down to funding. The university is arguing that with a 1000 people in this 'new group', the benefits of having two groups pushing very similar goals would be a waste of university money, and I tend to agree.
/r/MensRights04/05/13 08:21 PM
1

they do not need 2 groups which have the same agenda. I do not think it is a good thing that groups should be denied ad hoc, but to deny a group when one already exists is pretty fair. Especially if they let ANOTHER feminist group in, they would have no leg to stand on to deny us a men's officer.
/r/MensRights04/05/13 08:19 PM
2

I think one could argue, loosely, that feminism is a political group in itself, and that by biasing itself towards a feminist slant, they are breaking their own policies. Thank you for your advice, I will certainly take it to mind
/r/MensRights04/05/13 08:18 PM

You sound like you know a lot about this. I'm at York currently and I am hoping to look into campaigning for a Men's officer, however futile that might sound. If you have any advice, I would very much appreciate your input.
/r/MensRights04/05/13 05:08 PM

They have the resources to do this already. They already have a feminist group on campus, whose activities are funded and ratified by the university. It would be like having a harry potter society, then someone coming along and making another harry potter society. Why do they need two? The new one adds nothing they don't already have. I agree, they should absolutely have a place to discuss shared political issues, and THEY ALREADY DO. To give them more of the same is just wasting money.
/r/MensRights04/05/13 05:07 PM

They have a feminist society and a women's officer who organises events and advocacy for feminist groups, who is paid for by the university.
/r/MensRights04/05/13 01:53 PM

I think this is good. At least they aren't completely biased. Meanwhile, we still have no men's officer and no men's groups, as they are arguing with a very similar vein to that which stopped them ratifying the feminist society. There are so many feminist societies, they won't let any more be ratified, yet we do not have a single avenue for men's advocacy. Pretty sure I can use this to help me fight for a men's officer. If anyone has any thoughts, please share them so I can keep building up my p…

The ideaology of 'the greater good' which surrounds much of feminist thought and helps propagate every single facet of feminism, is why we, as the MRM need to fight the majority of feminist doctrine, and makes this incident simply the tip of the iceberg when it comes to making up lies to support a feminist ideaology. That was my point, if they can be seen to refuse to publish your article, as long as it is well written, then you can show how biased they are. At the very least, you should contact them to try I think, though I'm not sure how far that will get you. If they come up with a stupid reason, take it to someone higher up in the chain than them. It's what I'm going to do anyway

Yeah, its disgusting. I think you need to start exposing some of this to be honest. It might be hard, but an article in the paper would go a long way

Please, do not let it drop. I think it was you who posted before, youre the guy from manchester right? I'm at York uni and there is no men's officer here, despite there being an equality officer, an LBGT officer, a Women's officer, a disabled officer, and an ethnicity officer. It pushed me into emailing the university about why we don't have one. I have no intention on letting them worm their way out of it until I get an answer.

If it was me, I would dissect the fuck out of that article. Let me help you: "First of all, we don’t need to work on men’s inclusion and representation" The majority of students on campus today are female. In this current client, it is MEN that are under represented in this community. We need a men's officer to perhaps ask why this is, why men are considering university less compared to women. "The Women’s Campaign also directly tackles the misrepresentation of men by challenging and combating g…

It makes them poster boys to single them out as more valubale because of their gender or skin colour. In my opinion, you can't have a true egalitarian movement if you start pointing out shit like 'look, we have blacks too! look how diverse and non racist we are!' Equality is equality is equality, and skin or gender shouldn't mean a damn thing to us. Perhaps realistically this isn't the case, but shining a massive spotlight on it like this article does makes me feel uneasy
/r/MensRights20/04/13 07:19 PM

I see no reason to. Arguments stand for themselves. If you need to wave a demographic in front of someone's face for your argument to hold up, your argument probably wasn't valid in the first place.

It's fantastic news, but from a personal perspective (perhaps not an MRA one) I disagree with this: "MRA London is a peaceful group comprising both male and female members who stand up for the human worth of men and boys. It is also mixed race and includes gay members." This is not needed. We don't need poster boys and girls to fill a demographic. The black, female, and gay members of the MRM are just as valuable as the white men, and to pander like this feels wrong to me.

I think, for one, it is unfair to say that we are inherantly more intelligent than feminists. I feel there should be as much room in this movement for people of your intellectual caliber, as there is for someone who hasn't got a clue what feminism is, and doesn't even know how to spell oppression. We ARE better than that, and that's why we need to avoid becoming elitist. In some cases yes. But I think it is hypocritical to say that it is the case for all of them. There are many great intellectuals who consider themselves feminists. Until the other side of the coin is brought to light, how can we blame them for buying to the ideaology that feminism is great? It's all theyve ever been told. I used to consider myself a staunch feminism supporter. Look at me now. It happens

The aim shouldn't be to compromise, absolutely. But that dsoesn't mean we can't engage them in dialouge and change their perspective of their movement. Even to have them to admit to one hypocritical concept their movement supports goes a long way to swinging votes. Which is what we need to do to dismantle feminism.
/r/MensRights08/04/13 04:13 PM

I don't think anyone blames the men's movement for the characteristics of feminism. This 'feminism' isn't actually a sentient thing. It is made up of many smaller things called 'people' and constructive debate is how you get these 'people' to change their minds.
/r/MensRights08/04/13 04:11 PM

No I agree, you will never change the ideaology, but you can change the individual's perspective on their movement. Denying dialogue removes that.

I have to disagree, I debate with feminists all the time on campus, and a lot of them see my point of view. I have shut many of them up, talking to a room full of them being the only voice of 'reason'. Maybe a decade ago was the wrong time to be trying to debate with them

Feminism makes her a feminist. And she welcomes it because no one else is dealing with rape victims BUT feminism. I'm not asking to work with feminists at all, that isn't the answer. It has everything to do with feminism. She turns to feminism because she has been told she was raped because of a system and feminism is fighting against that system. Like, when I go to the shops and make a list to remember what to get, should I put 'Don't rape!' on it. Also, when I greet a fellow man, instead of saying 'Hello Jim how are you!' Should I say 'Hey Jim, don't rape!' It makes me sick that some people think one half of the population is morally bankrupt enough to not rape just because they get told enough times. It's like educating people not to m…

I actually got told the other day that it doesn't count there are more women in university because they are doing less desireable degrees on average so technically university is still dominated by men

I kind of thought it to myself jokingly, thinking that rape will become the new 'the dog ate my homework'. Then I realised how scary it was that I would think that we were even remotely close to this happening. Something has to give

Lets not get too exited here. If this was a man in the same position he would have been ordered to pay all the back child support for all the time he hadn't paid it, he would probably have been held in contempt of court too

No one ever raises the point this video is part of a series that people DONATED a hell of a lot of money to be created. The content bloody should be good, because people paid enough for it to be created. But, instead of being groundbreaking, the first episode of this series was hardly news to anyone. One must ask how much actual money went into creating this video, when the content she uses in it can be created and edited by very cheap software on any decent emulator. The fact was, the video was…

And what about the vast majority of men, who had little choice than to work in jobs that paid very little in order to feed their starving 13 children family? These men could be anything they wanted? Please, most of them had absolutely no say in what job they had.

When a woman calls you sexist for calling them a cunt, it's their way of getting one over on you for you calling them a cunt. They try to make the argument about themselves being the victim, as it is the best and easiest way for them to garner support and make you look like the asshole. It has nothing to do with gender equality. It's just them being, well, a cunt.

I have respect for your post, but.. It's difficult to discuss issues with people who absolutely refuse to change their standpoint, no matter how much evidence and statistics you put forward. One cannot have a discussion with many feminists without openly being mocked about your vewipoints. I told a room full of women/girls the other day that feminism does not have the monopoly on equality and almost got laughed out of the room. How can we have open discourse with people who treat us like we are …

There is nothing I could add to his comments that would make them more rational and coherant. If a mansplainer is someone who uses facts and reason to create an argument that no one can mess with, then I would love to call myself one.

I agree completely, I was merely using domestic abuse as an example of how feminism affects male disposability, and how I feel this is what the poster is suggesting as to why feminism = male disposability. Your argument about men's rights advocates is incredibly apt, and in an ideal world, this would be the case. The problem is many MRA's consider feminism as a root cause of many of the problems which disadvantage men, and have been a victim of the feminist aspects of society that exist today. T…

I am a massive fan of barbarossaaa and some of those others too. The reason I suggested GWW is because she explains the concepts surrounding men's rights in a simple and engaging way, something which anyone new to a subject will inevitably find more accesible.

The problem is that there are many instances which male disposability is prevalent that no one even thinks of questioning. The attack on feminism here, as I see it, is that feminism puts priority on issues that, compared with many problems comparatively more damaging to men, get pushed aside, primarily because male disposability gets in the way of society viewing men as important as women. This is not to say that many feminists don't believe they are problems, but in the feminist society we live…

Actually, I thought you had posted in another thread. Sorry about that. But funnily enough, the argument I was making in another thread makes the case clearly. Though it isn't just in law; male disposability is something that permeates our society. It's a lazy analogy, but think about life boats. Women and children first and all that malarky. I think what the poster is saying is that regardless of what form of society we live in, whether 'patriarchal' or 'feminist', male disposability is still a…

Sorry, looking back I don't think i explained myself correctly. If a woman penetrates a man (with a non organic object), it is considered sexual assault If a man penetrates a woman, regardless of what or how he does it, it is considered rape. The law clearly does not state the item 'he' uses to rape the person. The way rape is caused is if the act is considered sexual. This implies that a woman can penetrate a man, and the act would never be considered sexual, because women dont get off on rape,…

I think if a woman cannot commit rape, and can only commit sexual assault, of which the maximum offence is 10 years, whereas for penetration it is life, there is something incredibly one sided about the whole system. That is the question I would be asking. Why is it that a man can be penetrated and raped, and it be considered sexual assault if it is a woman, whereas if a man penetrates a woman, it is rape. Does it not boil down to the same crime?

It's not really whether or not people believe it. Male disposability is a concept, which has been proven through time to be true. I highly reccomend GirlWritesWhat's videos on the subject to give you an idea.

I slept on this, and what interests me most about this entire thing is how someone can get away with writing a book called "The End of Men". Perhaps she was trying to be controversial, I think it more likely she was just trying to appeal to her target audience, but to me it just comes across as misandric.

Actually they're right, in a way. Feminism does do more for men's rights than most other organisations. It's through bullshit articles like this, which made me realise how so far in the clouds these self-righteous morons are, and the realization that people are actually letting them get away with calling this even handed journalism, that made me understand how important it is to pull them up on their utter nonsense. It's the only reason I'm now an advocate for male rights, to stop people like th…
