I use mostly hinge and i have similar story. I think dating apps are designed that way. You gotta go thorough a lot of dates and you reevaluate your expectations to be more realistic. I am still not there but few things helped me has been the book "Models" in this aspect. There was some video about "fearless dating with Mark Manson" that explained some of the concepts from the book. Anyways, the book goes a little in depth at first, presenting the reality and checking our viewpoint. Interesting.. additional question: so do you set up the topic beforehand so people can read things on it or in general a guided few questions when people meet. Ya 10-20 people seem a lot but then breaking up in groups would definitely sounds like a great idea. But overall sounds like a great experience. Thanks for sharing.

I paint sometimes but recently i have been reading more. I think he could have worded it better. So i have most success in 1st date when i sit next to the lady. It actually gives them a break (less pressure) as you are not constantly watching her. Bars are always great but the COVID makes it difficult. I went on 2 dates and on one, the lady preferred table. The second one didnt matter so the bar. Both were for dinners and its better. I actually asked the lady and she preferred the bar. Just ask her. Now a days you gotta reserve, at least where i am at, so saying, 'hey so apparently we had to reserve so I was about to reserve. do you prefer the table or is bar ok?' If you are uncomfortable asking this, just ask if she prefers table or bar.

I think it's harder. Adds another level of New skill to learn. But it's a skill so there is a learning curve. You will have to spend some time optimizing it and there is some advantage of pay to win feature but that comes only after if you have learnt the former aspects of it.

Follow up question. Most of my first coffee dates, seems to go well from my point of view but usually its during the day and we have some stuff to do afterwards.
