Not really. From what I read of the case she broke up with him then he tried to win her back, and found her with another man. He really severely beat her and from the evidence we have it was attempted murder.

There was a lot of out cry in the manosphere about laws that were making things like consent forms a requirement. I didn't really understand why everyone took such issue with it.
