Not wanting marriage due to governmentYou definitely deserve the protections that marriage offers and should not allow for this to stand, however if that’s what you decide to do just don’t mail in the certificate. | /r/RedPillWives | 08/05/21 11:24 PM
How long does it take to adjust to a new baby? This. For the first year it was like I’d feel like I finally had things figured out, and bam! Something new. Right around that first birthday I really hit my stride and it’s been going for a solid 6 mos now. I think a year before life feels normal again with a first child is a totally reasonable expectation. I can’t speak for the subsequent children, but 40 days to completely back to normal on the first isn’t super realistic imho. 40 days to doing normal things physically is pretty standard, but… | /r/RedPillWives | 14/03/21 01:44 AM

Baby in bed, no intimacyI was also very against cosleeping, but at around 2mos I was so tired I actually fell out of bed during the day and got pretty hurt. I separated my shoulder and had a concussion. Hubs took me to the ER and a nurse showed us how to side nurse and suggested that maybe my hubs could help in that way- like go get baby and latch him while I slept. It just plain didn’t work and we ended up with baby sleeping between us so often that it became normal. | /r/RedPillWives | 06/09/20 04:03 AM
Baby in bed, no intimacyWow, I do appreciate you being blunt- however I’m not sure you read and comprehended my whole post. First, we’ve been together for 10+ years. Married 4. Yes, I wanted to have children but so did he. It was planned. Very planned. He wasn’t some sort of target for a baby daddy- I think society has proven that no woman needs to put in that kind of time and effort to get pregnant. I’d be an idiot if that was my only goal. Second, I think my post clearly outlines that I AM attracted to my husband. Th… | /r/RedPillWives | 06/09/20 03:50 AM
Baby in bed, no intimacyWe have absolutely started, but it’s been a slow process. A very... slow.... process | /r/RedPillWives | 06/09/20 02:59 AM
Baby in bed, no intimacyI feel like right now I’m right in between wanting baby out to have that alone time and just wanting to keep him sleeping in our bed. Tbh I really just think my husband isn’t that interested at this point so no harm in baby staying.... it’s a hard one | /r/RedPillWives | 06/09/20 02:59 AM
Baby in bed, no intimacyThank you! I read another comment and thought maybe I was pushing it at 13 mos. my MIL breastfeed and coslept with my husband until he was just over 2 yrs and my mom didn’t at all so I’m struggling to find a happy medium. It’s hard to know what’s right! | /r/RedPillWives | 06/09/20 02:52 AM
Baby in bed, no intimacyI don’t find your response rude. If anything it reinforces what I know needs to happen. Thank you! | /r/RedPillWives | 06/09/20 02:48 AM
How can I help my SO to sleep better at night?Had VERY similar issues with my husband- except I was in your SO's position. We went out and bought a luxury bed that we both liked, and made sure it was a king- go for a double + single with a joiner if that's just not enough space.Things are IMMENSELY better now. My husband can sleep soundly, and so can I now. As for the snoring, breathe right strips help when it's really bad, otherwise after about a year of sleeping in the same bed every night he now is so used to it that he can't sleep if th… | /r/RedPillWives | 29/08/17 10:54 PM

[Advice] Husband pays girls for pictures of themselvesOne thing I feel is worth noting here is that although sex is a big deal, and even more so a big deal with the consideration of your hubs having a high sex drive- he should have come to you to fulfill his needs. Your slow bedroom life is not an excuse for a wandering eye- but amping it up may help solve the issue. If he has some sort of addiction though, there will never be enough. Establishing the need for open communication concerning ALL things, and in this case his sexual needs, is absolutel… | /r/RedPillWives | 22/03/17 02:25 AM
[Advice] Husband pays girls for pictures of themselvesI agree- to me this is cheating, but that is something that my hubs and I have discussed. Some people don't feel the same and I understand. My motto is that whatever you know and don't communicate though is ultimately your fault if the other person doesn't get the message. | /r/RedPillWives | 22/03/17 02:19 AM
GratituesdayA gal from the other side of the planet! Since we are just getting done with our winter, I thought I'd share my (admittedly unsolicited- so grain of salt) best tips for keeping winter nicer, as I too am not much of a winter gal myself: 1) Candles and wonderful scents for your home. I always feel better when the house smells amazing and it can be difficult in the summer and the temp is soaring. Burn em babe! 2) Cuddly sweatshirts and blankets on the couch/floor. 3) Hot drinks!! In the evenings I … | /r/RedPillWives | 22/03/17 02:16 AM
GratituesdayI totally almost forgot about gratituesday even though I had a serious think about it yesterday. It's been a week full of gratitude so far!! 1) I am so, so SO grateful that hubs and I are on the same schedule this week. Being able to spend time with him while he is awake has been incredible. 2) I'm incredibly grateful to have wonderful friends. Hubs was pushing hard to get his project finished over the weekend and my (very new) car started having transmission issues- had some wonderful friends t… | /r/RedPillWives | 22/03/17 02:09 AM

Free Friday - March 17, 2017Don't worry about over cooking it. The same night that you made your steak, I put one on the grill right before hubby walked through the door. I was listening to a story he was telling and became so enamored with it that I totally forgot about the steak. Walked outside to a rather impressive steak fire!! Thankfully we just laughed, but I was so bummed!! | /r/RedPillWives | 18/03/17 06:59 PM
Free Friday - March 17, 2017Ew. I've seen/heard of so many women doing stupid things during pregnancy that I would never want to be forced to take that on. It should be noted that I am adopted, but I consider the 2 ideals completely different. | /r/RedPillWives | 18/03/17 06:57 PM
What are your best homemaking "hacks"?I use laundry baskets when I'm decluttering a space. Rather than walking each item to its place or making piles that can be a pain to carry, I keep a laundry basket for each room of the house, then when I'm done I can usually still stack them to carry to each room, dropping off each basket as I go. If it's hubbys things he sees the basket and knows he has to put it away (his tools etc have an organizational system of their own. They end up 'lost' if I put them away haha) and then when I'm in eac… | /r/RedPillWives | 18/03/17 06:52 PM
What are your best homemaking "hacks"?I love the Clorox tab idea- but it should be noted that if you have a septic you should not do this!! We are still trying to reestablish the 'good' bacteria in our septic bc I used them for about a month. Was very disappointed when I had to go back to actually scrubbing the toilet after a month of not! | /r/RedPillWives | 18/03/17 06:47 PM
What are your best homemaking "hacks"?I also do not use microfiber. Grossed me out long before I read any of that stuff! I don't like the way it feels. I bought a ton of packs of 'washcloths' from the dollar store long ago. I also cut bath towels that are getting thin up into rag sizes. Old sweatshirts make excellent rags as well. | /r/RedPillWives | 18/03/17 06:45 PM
What are your best homemaking "hacks"?I invested in lots and lots of towels, and I have a particular storage tote that the lid was lost for long ago that I just throw them in. Our basement is unfinished and the laundry is down there, so I put the tote at the bottom of the stairs and just throw the dirty towels/rags down there so their not in my face all the time. Every other week I run them through my wash on the sanitary cycle and that way I know that they've been thoroughly washed and I won't risk spreading the germs from the toil… | /r/RedPillWives | 18/03/17 06:44 PM
Ladies With Hard Water! So I'm looking at the vit c filters and they all claim to deal with chlorine- I have well water though- so would this filter still be more effective than weekly treatments? | /r/RedPillWives | 14/03/17 10:17 PM

Ladies With Hard Water! Not sure if it will be as helpful, but for my skin I use dove sensitive body wash and put grape seed oil on after while my skin is still warm from the shower. Hubs takes colder showers and he has no trouble at all, but I enjoy my relaxing hot showers too much to sacrifice them lol. | /r/RedPillWives | 14/03/17 10:10 PM

Gratituesday1) I am so grateful for his affection. When working 16 hour days I would not fault him if he walked through the door and just ate, showered and went to bed- I know he is exhausted. I'm grateful that he takes the time to give me a big hug and kisses and just hang out with me- even if it's only 15 min. 2) I am grateful to have our power back! We had high winds last week and it broke one of our power poles in half and ripped a 40-50 ft pine tree right out of our yard, right into the power lines. 4 … | /r/RedPillWives | 14/03/17 05:41 PM

Update on my situationThere is no response that is going to be helpful to you until you start owning your role and taking personal responsibility for it. The only advice you seem open to is such that he is wholly to blame and you should leave. That's not what is likely to be given to you here. You've made up your mind and are seeking validation for it from a group of people whom you know stand very steadfastly on the side of making marriages work despite hardships. You're not going to get the validation your seeking … | /r/RedPillWives | 11/03/17 05:37 PM
Update on my situationSo just a few things I've had stand out to me reading the whole thread: 1) he is being exactly as he was when you married him, and now you're upset? Maybe it's time to focus a bit more on his positive attributes instead of the negative situation you're in. Approaching this situation with him in a critical fashion isn't going to help ANYONE, least of all you. 2) even if he were holding down a steady job, you should still be working if it would offset daycare enough for you to be bringing somethin… | /r/RedPillWives | 10/03/17 11:16 PM

Long Hours and Not Keeping UpYeah I probably wouldn't get back to doing it if I stopped for too long of a period. It takes a ton of work to even get to a point where I might consider competing. Which I'm not even at yet. I'm currently doing the workouts, but not the dieting as it's similar to crash dieting and I just don't see the point of I'm not in competition). | /r/RedPillWives | 08/03/17 11:50 PM
Long Hours and Not Keeping UpHmm... this is one of those tough questions for me. The commute is definitely not an issue, as I only go on workdays and I'm going to have to drive past it regardless for my job. My job is very solitary- I will go a few weeks without seeing anyone but my clients, who are all adults with usually severe special needs- so it tends to be the only quality human contact I get aside from about a half hour to an hour with my husband once he's home. It helps that the ladies I work out with have a similar… | /r/RedPillWives | 08/03/17 06:58 PM

A Day Without WomenI have a friend who is a nurse at a hospital local to me. Just got off the phone with her while she's on her 'lunch break'- which lasted all of 10 min and she used it to call me and cancel some plans we had for tonight, as she is going to be working a 24 hour shift unexpectedly. 3/4 of the staff where she works are women, and 3/4 of those didn't show up. To. A. Hospital. ER. Dept. I'm appalled. These women think they're making some kind of statement rather than literally risking lives. If it wer… | /r/RedPillWives | 08/03/17 05:47 PM
Long Hours and Not Keeping UpI noted in a response above that we are the youngest in our neighborhood, but I am going to scope out how much a service is vs having a maid stop in once a week and float that by hubby. Unfortunately every penny spent is one less in savings and one less toward our goal to end this whole 'burning our candle at both ends' thing we have going on, so I'm even hesitant to pay for either. | /r/RedPillWives | 08/03/17 12:16 AM
Long Hours and Not Keeping UpDefinitely do!! Don't do it on a weekend though, then you just feel more behind. Take a day off work instead. Then it has the full intended effect of a day off rather than a day off and then playing catch-up, which is so not the point! | /r/RedPillWives | 08/03/17 12:12 AM
Long Hours and Not Keeping UpBurnout is pretty common around here, but we battle it by being honest with each other concerning it and then we schedule a day to do literally nothing- usually once every 3 mos. I'm looking forward to summer for this reason as well- winter so nothing days usually involve a lot of TV and sex. Summer ones involve sitting on the deck, eating delivered pizza, drinking beer and sex. We've also decided that even if it's a cheap weekend in a cabin or one of our families cottages, we're going out of to… | /r/RedPillWives | 07/03/17 11:44 PM

Gratituesday1) I'm grateful that my husband works the long, hard hours building our business so that someday we can have kids and I can stay home with them. I admire his dedication so much!! Some days he leaves at 5am and doesn't make it home until 9-10pm! I'm always in awe of that. 2) I'm grateful that we were able to sit down and work out my quit date for work. I'm excited to be a stay at home wife this time next year!! 3) I'm grateful that the weather is getting warmer!! Slowly but surely! Fifty degrees … | /r/RedPillWives | 07/03/17 09:20 PM
Long Hours and Not Keeping UpI realize it does sound insane, as I mow the tiny patch of grass in front of where I work. It takes me longer to get the lower out than it does to actually mow there. I don't even bother changing out of my work shoes for it. It would take far more than it's really worth to explain why I can't just mow less, but in short- not really. There is a half acre that I used to just leave but we have a large zero turn mower now, so it only adds maybe 15 min to the job since there are no trees or anything … | /r/RedPillWives | 07/03/17 07:30 PM
Long Hours and Not Keeping UpYou're right with this. I realize that it seems I'm comparing, which wasn't my intent. The intent of my statement concerning others managing was more on the vein of wanting advice from such women rather than thinking that I should be doing the same. I also was just thinking about the fact that although my home isn't sterile, I would not consider it dirty either. Honestly, I think I might also not be appreciating the fact that although summer is just ahead and the mowing will have to start soon, … | /r/RedPillWives | 07/03/17 06:22 PM
Long Hours and Not Keeping UpUnfortunately the reason hubs is working so much is that he is starting up a construction company while maintaining his normal job as a welder, so although we technically COULD afford a maid service, all of our extra cash has been going into savings for when he transitions into the company only. We know that to start, we will likely not be able to depend on that income as much as a weekly paycheck. To put it simply: the sooner we hit our savings goal, the sooner he can work a normal amount of ho… | /r/RedPillWives | 07/03/17 05:51 PM
Free Friday - March 03, 2017Her height/weight actually seems really thin to me. She's 5 inches taller than I am, weighs the same as I do and I wear a size 0-1. There is such thing as too thin. My mother exemplifies it perfectly- too thin is to the point of looking sickly and I personally think it's grosser than being somewhat overweight. | /r/RedPillWives | 07/03/17 04:30 PM
