It's a lose-lose for the woman then. Both parties agree to contraception, contraception fails and she gets pregnant. According to the way you think it should be, she now only has two bad options available to her: a medical procedure (abortion), or living life as a single mom on one income. The man in this hypothetical situation then doesn't have to do anything, no medical procedure, and no payments despite being equally responsible.

Canadian here....everyone thinks this is disgusting. There is a lot of shock. Toronto has seen a few violent crimes recently that have sparked a lot of outrage. But every Canadian knows that our justice system is complete garbage...man or woman, doesn't matter, our country is EXTREMELY lenient and it sucks.

I have nothing to be offended by lol, just pointing out the difference.

Do women kill when they are slut shamed? I don't believe so. But acts of violence, including murder, have been committed by men who identify is incels.

She still bullied Wednesday, until they had a bit of a talk during the dance. And ya, the black guy is a bully too at one point, so I dont understand how this is promoting that only white people can be evil.

And there aren’t tons of shows and movies that depict women being raped? Come on now. It goes both ways.

But the black girl in the show is the bully

I would like to get catcalled and followed the same amount that the average man does

..but Gomez was always named Gomez since the cartoon started so Wednesday always should’ve been mixed but instead she was portrayed by white actors since that was always the norm.

Keep watching and you’ll see a scene between Wednesday and her father in which she points out every wonderful thing he did for her, and that he was a good father. Maybe watch something in its entirety before making assumptions.

Her father is named Gomez lol so it makes sense that she would be mixed

I know women who don't mind this either, but we still have to acknowledge that plenty of women do not like to be catcalled, myself included. It makes me uncomfortable. Also, honking makes me jump lol so that's a downside as well. If you enjoy it, that's great! But people are still allowed to not enjoy it.

These were the things said to her in that video: "Smile!" "Whats up?" "How you doing?" "Say thank you" (when someone compliments you) "Damn!" "hey baby" "Nice!" *Get followed for 5 minutes by one guy* *Gets followed by another guy, all the while he is asking her why she isn't responding to him*

Well, I can’t answer that question since that isn’t the definition of emotional labor in a relationship. So as for who takes care of who emotionally, we are 50/50, and I think that’s part of the reason we are doing so well. Our exaggerated emotions are also quite different so I think that helps, I’m the one with anxiety and he has none. He’s the one with the anger whereas I can be quite calm. He knows how to help me with my anxiety and I know when to leave him the hell alone.

No, if emotional labor in a relationship means the things mentioned above in bold, then I do 80% of that. In terms of who takes care of who emotionally, that is even.

I am in a very healthy 7 year relationship, and I would say we are very much equals. However, I did suffer from anxiety for a couple years so there was a time before I starting taking meds that he had to deal with that (which he was amazing at). Now having said that, my boyfriend very seldom suffers from a bad temper, and I have learned over the years to completely leave him alone during these times or he will lash out. Sorry, I just wanted to include the source, where I got the definition from lol. I've seen people say that women are responsible for more emotional labour than men within relationships but to be honest I have never looked into that.

Emotional labor is the process of managing feelings and expressions to fulfill the emotional requirements of a job.

The amount of guys commenting they would start on OF is hilarious. You're assuming you will be an ATTRACTIVE woman with an amazing business ethic, that will get subs. It's like you think OF is an option for all women, that any woman regardless of age or looks can make money that way, and would even want to make money that way.

So it looks like its actually 70% mutual, not 90%. "Other empirical studies since 1975 suggest gender symmetry in IPV.[74][78][79] Empirical studies suggest rates of perpetration remain symmetrical for both minor and severe abuse.[80] This result may be due to a bi-directional or reciprocal pattern of abuse, with one study concluding that 70% of assaults involve mutual acts of violence.[38])" Also, "A 2013 review of evidence from five continents found that when partner abuse is defined broadly (…

Yup, because despite claiming feminists don't want discussion and resolution, it seems the men here do the same thing. They don't want to have a civil discussion about the matter at hand. They only want to "prove a point."

Can you please provide a source? I can't seem to find anything to back that up. Here is one link i found from the CDC: https://www.cdc.gov/violenceprevention/intimatepartnerviolence/fastfact.html

You’re right, maybe it isn’t something we can combat. But I also think having an open discussion is helpful. There are many ways in which both men and women are oppressed so maybe we should talk about it - help the other side.

So let's use the workplace fatalities example then. If the most dangerous jobs are worked mostly by men, then doesn't it make sense that they would be more likely to get injured or die on the job? How can we combat this then? Hire more women for these positions, or encourage men to seek employment in a safer environment?

I’m really curious about the “why” factor in all this, if you have that information. As in, why are the majority of homeless people male? Is it due to life choices, discrimination, lack of support etc. Why more workplace fatalities? Is it because more men tend to work in dangerous environments? I would appreciate if someone could shed some light on the why’s and how they can be combated.

Is it wrong to move away from someone you're not comfortable sitting beside?

First of all, no one is laughing AT you. I "lol'd" at the idea that anyone would block anyone else from sitting down on a bus. I have not said a single insult to you in this discussion, nor have I been "cruel and nasty." You are in the process of transitioning to a woman, all the power to you and I hope for only the best. It can't be easy. I'm genuinely wondering if you will see the world in a different way, as you are switching genders. I'm not here to argue with you, but obviously I have upset…

No one should be doing it lol, regardless of gender. I wonder if your views and opinions on this will change once you finish transitioning to a woman, and your life experiences start to change.

Oh, I'm not talking about you giving up your own seat. You should only do that for the disabled or pregnant women. I mean if the seat next to you is empty, u shouldn't prevent anyone from sitting in it, and if someone does, and you feel uncomfortable for whichever reason, then of course you should move.
/r/MensRights02/12/22 06:46 PM

There you go! It makes sense, right? You no longer feel comfortable sitting next to a woman due to your personal experience. It was probably the same reason for the woman that moved away from the man. The only thing is I don't think anyone should prevent anyone from having a seat. If you feel uncomfortable you have every right to move seats, or stand up.

I might be able to offer some insight as a woman myself. Mind you, I've never done this, BUT when I used to take the bus I noticed that other women/girls would choose sitting next to me, over sitting next to a man. I think it's just a comfort thing. Getting up and moving to another seat seems a bit extreme, but maybe he was large, or smelled bad, you never know. Maybe this women had been harassed by an older man on the bus before, so she doesn't want to take any chances this time around. A "bett…
