I know, it makes NO SENSE to me. I had several UTIs when I was a kid, yet no one ever considered cutting my vagina.

How old is your nephew? is he 10 or older? The foreskin SHOULD be glued at the glans when the boy is young, Its how the normal anatomy of the male works, once the boy grows up it will naturally detach, but you never are supposed to force this, so you never retract the foreskinin (this will damage and cause infections). Many US doctors dont know about this and they force the retraction causing pain and damage to the penis.Your sister must educate those dumbasses because many dont know shit about …

My Nephew had a urinary infection and his foreskin was unable to be pulled back his foreskin should NOT be able to retract at this age. The doctor probably cause the damage.

oh spare me, as a mother trying to educate others about circumcision its usually the father that demands circumcision. Its circumcised men who continue this tradition.

as a mother of a 2 years old boy I am terrified. My son will be treated by some people as a potential rapist, its insanity.

to be honest Its such a common procedure in american families, people are always commenting about baby cousin circumcision healing, or how the nephew had some bleeding problem, also, when I got pregnant my mom asked me when (not if) I was going to circumcise my son, when I mentioned that I wasnt she pretty much said that every one in our family is. All my boyfriends were circumcised and my husband commented that pretty much all his friends were also. But my son already has several little friends…

oh, they would scream in horror if this was not normal here. But my hope is that this is a dying tradition, I know that it doesnt look like but it is. iN Canada now less than 30% of boys are getting circumcised, in Australia its less than 10%, in Latin America and Europe 90% of the boys are intact. The only places where this procedure is still popular is USA, African nations and Middle East. And even here is going down. in 2004 65% of boys were getting cut, now its 55%, I have no doubt that in t…

I understand, to be honest I dont mind the religious groups. I dislike the ignorant idea that we have in US that foreskin is dirty and gross and boys need to be cut as soon as they are born. For me now that I have a intact boy this idea is so offensive and wrong. Maybe thats why I care so much. But I get your point. Also, how awesome is to find a bisexual man on internet, talking openly about dating men or women, we need more people like you :)

awwww, that brings so much joy to my heart. Boys are beautiful you know? they are born perfect and healthy and wonderful. Their natural bodies are not dirty or ugly. They are as intelligent, smart and capable as girls and can learn how to proper take care of their own bodies. My son doesnt look like his father, but he does looks like himself and that's enough for me and my husband :)

awww, I didnt know you are Jewish. You know I would never tell a jew dude that he shouldn't circumcise his son because I know what traditional ceremony the Brit is. Does this circumcision debate hurts you? do you ever feel as an anti Semitic attack? This is not my intention you know? I am always worried about how our Jewish posters feel when this subject is debated.

its ok, I wont bother you anymore :) You showed a lot of patience in this thread. I know it cant be easy to be bombarded from all sides in this subject. But tell me, why would you circumcise your son? what would be the reason?

I am the mama of a beautiful intact boy. I grew up in NJ and everyone I knew was circumcised, including the husby. I always thought I was going to circumcise my son, no questions asked. It was the right thing, it was what its done, its normal, irs common, bla, bla, bla. Well, one day surfing the internet I saw a post from a worried mother talking about her son's circumcision complications. WHAT? what complications? no one told me about complications, well, isnt that funny? there are. Hemorrage, …

well growing up in the good USA makes you think its ok. You father is circed, your brothers are circ, all your friends are circ. All the moms talk about their sons circumcisions, thats why I try to not judge the others moms when they tell me that they want to circ their sons. Even our american medical community makes it seems like uncircumcised boys are gonna get an infection and their penises are gonna fall off. The pressure is ridiculous. Still a big part of the american public believes that u…

And the sons wouldn't really fault their parents for it. We respect our parents and their decisions. are you sure about this? because just on this sub I already saw lots of men mad at their parents. Imagine the generation growing up in 2034, 20 years from now, with easy access to information, knowing that your penis doesnt work properly because mom and dad thought cut penises were more hygienic and that boys should look like dad.

you know, I used to think its was ok and changed my mind. Lets hope many in that classroom can do the same. I thought I was going to circumcise my son and now he is intact. EDIT- can you say more about the class? did she actually showed a video of a circumcision? you would be surprised at how many people have never watched and have no idea how painful and invasive the procedure is, a lot of people still think its just a snip.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
