I personally went through it myself... twice! Raised in a cult and then subsequently got caught up in another with promises of being "fixed" from the first one. They do that so you're in a constant state of feeling unworthy and 'out of touch'. It's gaslighting and does crazy things to our minds because it puts us in a primal fear mode (fear of social ostracizing which then turns off our logical decision making). The best defense is to study up on these tactics so you're less vulnerable and can detect it when someone tries to use it on you. 20 isn't "old" at all. I would say 50 is closer to being "old".

That's the down side with most kids being in a house with both parents working and coming home exhausted. Parents rarely can spend the valuable time needed to keep kids out of gangs, and now, online cults. They turn to places like Reddit to satiate that loneliness and social requirements. Social media is directly responsible for a majority of the hate within the battle of the sexes. Yes, there is a blend of people that followed The Red Pill's teaching that are also incel and MGTOW types.
