Oh hell no, nope nope nope. His words and behaviour are a thousand miles away from ok. ‘Expected of you’?? He’s not her employer and honestly if an employer spoke to me like that, it’s be 50/50 whether I’d leave the building immediately; so patronising and offensive, as if she’s a disobedient, lazy child. AND THEN he runs to his mummy. Some men get all bent out of shape when their partner is pregnant, huh? It’s like they see her doing this amazing thing that’s beyond his ability to do and they p…

My music references in this comment are from a UK pov, hope I’ve explained myself clearly🖤 Our patriarchal society will take ANY interest/trend/genre of music/hobby that a number of girls or women enjoy and belittle it until those things are labelled as vapid and worthless. See how the (mostly girls) Taylor Swift or Harry Styles fandoms are treated; depicted as brainless, ‘basic’ and over the top while the (mostly boys) fans of grime/drill are respected for sharing their interests via reaction v…

My 1st thought on this (once the stunned ‘wtf?!’ was out of way) was - that man could cheat on you repeatedly, gaslight you about it and grind down your emotional/mental health, do you all manner of harm without his family & friends circle lifting a finger to help you. They helped him cover up this HUGE thing for YEARS. They’d do it again. Put him and them in your rear view mirror.

I’m always a bit bewildered when a woman suggests that casual sex with randoms is ‘getting their needs met.’ The female orgasm isn’t in general that easy to achieve (when a man is involved at least) but if the fumbling and pounding from a stranger does it for you, good for you, but for a lot of us that ain’t gonna get it done. Having a ‘hoe phase’ may initially feel validating in a ‘yay random guys wanna do me’ kinda way but sooner or later it’s followed by the crash into feeling used & disposab…

This dude is a good example of why going the build-a-man route rarely ends well for a woman. We gotta learn to put our time, energy and money into OURSELVES. It hasn’t even occurred to this guy to splurge on a beautiful ring (that he can easily afford to) for this woman, who has done some super generous things for him without asking much in return, to wear for the rest of her life. He has the perfect opportunity to show he appreciates her, his sis even spelled it out for him, but instead he make…

Oh the fragility! His feelings are all upset because she dared to state the blindly obvious re. too many men out there posing a threat to women. Glad she ain’t with him anymore; he sounds like that guy who wouldn’t believe/support his girlfriend if one of his trash friends grabbed her arse. He’d totally find some bs way to make it her fault and/or a minor thing that his buddy should be forgiven for. Yuck.

Ugh, red flags smacking you in the face there. My gut reaction to this was ‘ah, so he wants to be the most important man in the lives of three women, each one striving to be the number one girl of this super progressive, modern man…’ - pass me the sick bucket. I see comments saying that not putting close friends over a new person you’re dating isn’t a red flag; in this particular case, I disagree. Whether you think platonic ‘best friends’ is really possible or not (and at the risk of sounding un…

Yay, welcome back! I stop by this sub regularly and hope to be brave enough to post in the future. I’m 40 years old, was divorced by 24 - I learned A LOT over the years and am now working out how best to pass it on to my little one (her teens aren’t too far away). I’d like to share a little about my husband too, not in a showing off way but to illustrate the differences between who I chose AFTER I learned my own value compared with the nightmare I volunteered for in my early 20s. Would have been…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
