10	Is PMS an Elaborate Hoax? If it were, life would be much easier, as I see absolutely no benefit to PMS. If it were a hoax, I'd choose in a heartbeat to not participate. My periods are extremely irregular (it could be two weeks or three months in between each one), but I can always predict when they're coming. I'll start crying when I hear that a friend's pet bunny died, or when my ice cream falls off of the cone. 4	25% of women will be sexually assaulted I have a professor who has given a survey out every year to his General Psychology classes for the past 10 or 15 years that addresses this. It has very specific true/false questions about the varying degrees of sexual assault, and his results have been fairly consistent with the 25% statistic (and this is on a Christian campus).
