This is very helpful. I can see you understand where I'm coming from. I will look into resting awareness and start working on this immediately. If you can point me in the right direction it will be much appreciated. Thanks!

Yeah, that is the issue exactly. I just think too much about how I need to keep eye contact and ironically that's what's hindering me.

Thanks, this is a great answer. I’ve started on boxing and maybe later on will pick up bjj. I always thought it would take longer to get to that level of proficiency that you mentioned.

Trust me, it pains me that I have to stop but it’s just temporary for the next year or so. I actually don’t have enough time for both but in a year I’ll start up on lifting again.

I haven't been able to. I think that's why I'd rather be in my thoughts than in the conversation. How do you make it fun for yourself?

Care to expand on that?

Have you seen significant results from meditation? I've been meditating for about 10 minutes a day for the past week but haven't noticed much improvement.

Definitely start with what you got until you can move on to better things. If you've never lifted before you should see results from any type of resistance training. I'd suggest you incorporate push-ups, planks, pull ups, maybe some dumbbell squats as well. Try your best to move on to a standard gym when you get the opportunity.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
