I don't think it's that difficult to win when you are a much more famous, and adored, celebrity multi-millionaire. Hundreds of his fans stood outside the court every day. She didn't have that support. This article explains well that whether his PR team paid for this, or it was caused by him having such a huge fandom, there was a heavy bias in his favour, from people who aren't part of his personal life. During the US trial Heards former makeup artist described covering up bruises and a split lip…

I do think she's also abusive, but her being abusive doesn't exonerate Depp. I think it's a shame that the psychologist (who is highly respected in his field) was turned into a laughing stock by Depps legal and PR team for his tics. He spoke the most sense and described how addiction and abusive behaviour go hand in hand. We've always known this, it's well established in neuropsychiatry, neurology and psychology. I believe both Depp and Heard are addicts and are abusive due to their addictions, …

It's no secret that he dropped a ton of money on PR. Nor do I think that PR Firms are a "conspiracy theory"?? Like, everyone knows they exist. I am going by the evidence in both cases, and which evidence felt authentic to me. The video of him raging in the kitchen from the UK case, the makeup artist from the US case. Etc.

No, it didn't overturn it. Both results still stand. The UK newspapers are still free to call him a wife beater. There is plenty of evidence of it too. In the US there was a huge PR campaign which distracted from the truth a lot. That's how he won.

No one mentions those atrocious messages he sent to Paul Bettany where they were discussing m$rdering her. Not the words of an innocent man. I do, and have been from the start. The depp fans are RABID but I've always believed him to be an abuser. Those texts are vile, and show his true colours.

Except for her former makeup artist (who no longer will work with Heard and doesn't particularly like her) confirmed that she had to cover up bruises and split lips on Heard often.

The fact that he won proved that he wasn't those things. Yet he lost the UK trial and the judge ruled that there was enough evidence of Depp being a "wife beater" that he lost the case. You can read about that here

He mentioned that he "values physical chemistry" = he was just going to have sex with her as soon as possible and bail before she discovered his lies.

I'm so sorry you had to go through this. I'm so glad to know that you are safe and away from this abusive dickcheese. You're right, in the US the number one terrorist threat, as listed by the FBI, is single, poorly socialised men who are easily radicalised by incel and right wing propaganda. It is absolutely on the rise. And dangerous. My now partner is the intelligent and softly spoken type. There's a world of difference.

I'm sorry you went through this too. It sounds as though he just wasn't capable of giving even the bare minimum, and shouldn't have been dating in the first place. It's always a red flag when you're told you're asking "too much".

I had a similar experience. At 6 months I discovered he was courting another woman behind my back. In the years since he's treated her like a queen and married her. All his "I'm not good at this" and "I'm awkward and don't know what to do" and "I'm not very experienced" were bullshit. It transpired that he had a HUGE body count because he'd "always take what he could get". I was in the middle somewhere. He liked me enough to be with me for a while, but then he met the woman he REALLY wanted to b…

Yeah, I think him describing raping her corpse after her death is far more than wishing death on an abuser. I saw that video of him and thought, yeah, if that man were charging at me I too would throw a bottle at him to keep him away. Him losing a small part of a finger was much less than he intended to do to her (or at least, that's what he wanted her to believe in the moment. He wanted to scare her). I'm sick of his victim playing.

This. So very this. I think you only have to look at his text messages to Paul Bettany to see the kind of man Johnny Depp is. His egotistical waffling on and on and on and on at very simple questions tells you he's a narcissist too. And the way he's been playing games while being questioned by her lawyers shows that he's perfectly capable of standing up to anyone, including her. And when he puts on the frail abused man act with his fans.... ARG!! I'm much more triggered by him than her tbh.

This was my take too. The etsy proceeds are from using her own spending money to buy supplies. He should be happy that she generated extra income from it since he's so concerned with her being a "spender". The fair thing to do, while keeping within their budget plans is to say that they each have their full time jobs which is what the budget is for. So that's "family money". But any money from side hustles is their own to do with as they please. The sad thing is that what he's done has likely su…

Not sure which country you're in, but in the UK you can run a domestic violence check on someone you're dating via the police. That's free of charge.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
