I know why Ukrainians fear being drafted into the bloodbath, but more lion-hearted men must join the fight, writes female journalist.Thanks. To quote one of my favourite shows: “I don’t know what I expected.” | /r/MensRights | 09/06/25 03:18 PM
Men with higher education, greater alcohol intake, multiple female sexual partners, and higher frequency of performing oral sex, had an increased risk of oral HPV infections, linked to up to 90% of oropharyngeal cancer cases in US men. The study advocates for gender-neutral HPV vaccination programs.Nobody here is saying ‘should’, do it or don’t, it’s up to you. I personally like it | /r/MensRights | 22/10/24 08:06 PM
| -30 | I know why Ukrainians fear being drafted into the bloodbath, but more lion-hearted men must join the fight, writes female journalist.Sure - and how many of them did it to care for a family and not just themselves? On the contrary, how many men might have done the same if they hadn’t been banned from doing it? Probably less than 90% but a lot more than have now as the self preservation instinct is not specific to women. I’m all for criticizing the sexist laws, the sexist expectations, propagated by a sexist media and culture through some sexist individuals. But just tarring all the women with the same brush in this way is not … | /r/MensRights | 15/10/24 08:45 AM |
| -42 | I know why Ukrainians fear being drafted into the bloodbath, but more lion-hearted men must join the fight, writes female journalist.Hey - I don’t know if you said this from personal experience, and I am sure there are cynical and opportunistic refugees. But there are also a lot who are just trying to make the best for themselves. I agree the disparity in treatment of men and women is total BS in the age of ‘equality’, but picture what you’d do in a family situation (or if you have direct experience this is addressed to those who don’t). You have a wife and children and you can’t leave. Would you expect your wife and kids to … | /r/MensRights | 15/10/24 08:13 AM |
The HR lady, who proudly claimed that women are 50% of the personnel chose to ignore the elephants.I feel this as I used to work for a mining company - it was all about gender equality at the top and how to get more women into mining. Not a word about the gender breakdown of the roughly one guy a quarter who would die in the mines. | /r/MensRights | 11/10/24 04:57 PM
Women only racing series ends prematurely as nobody will fund or watch it. Not even other women.... Equality! This is a well known phenomenon, there's a whole Wikipedia article on it. Like anything in science there is debate around the causes and precise extent of the effect but there's more than enough evidence to show that it's not just speculation. Here's a good summary from the "Modern Studies" section: The 21st century has witnessed a resurgence of research on gender differences in variability, with most of the emphasis on humans. The results vary based on the type of problem, but some recent studi… | /r/PussyPassDenied | 11/10/22 01:21 PM

Lauren Saint George was found guilty of infanticide. But the judge decided against prison time, saying, ‘It is quite clear to me that you were depressed." Ten-week-old Lily-Mai suffered a brain injury, 18 rib fractures and severe bruising. Lauren shook her daughter so hard she died three days laterOk but assuming that’s the case why does it make a difference? Surely the key issue is whether the person committing the crime had an altered brain state that diminishes their responsibility - the fact that there is a different technical cause for different people should be irrelevant. | /r/MensRights | 02/08/22 03:39 PM
Sexism- It’s all men’s fault (U.K. advert)This ad also abstracts women out of human culture, as if they don’t have an effect on it. Why is a random non-sexist man more to blame than a random non-sexist women? If we’re saying people who have been in contact/influenced a sexist man, or the culture he is part of, are complicit, that list/culture includes both men and women. We all have mothers for example. I personally think it’s equally unfair to blame mothers generally as to blame men - but if collective responsibility is the way we’re g… | /r/MensRights | 10/07/22 03:59 PM
Canada’s Supreme Court Has Confirmed That Trudeau’s Gutting of the Rights of Canadian Men to a Fair Trial in Sexual Assault Cases is ConstitutionalThanks - I agree, it's important to try to stay objective (even though that's often difficult verging on impossible). Optimistically the downvotes might have come because I double commented by accident - have now deleted the duplicate. There might be a civil discussion to be had regarding the actual law if it was being properly represented. (I am actually a lawyer in another common law jurisdiction but didn't want to lean into that too much on Reddit.) | /r/MensRights | 04/07/22 09:09 AM

Let's not let this sub be anything like r/TwoXChromosomes.Yes - I didn’t mean we should always reach out, it often generates undeserved vitriol as you say. It’s the attitude that counts - which can help us understand more and despair less. | /r/MensRights | 02/07/22 01:50 AM
Canada’s Supreme Court Has Confirmed That Trudeau’s Gutting of the Rights of Canadian Men to a Fair Trial in Sexual Assault Cases is ConstitutionalI think this is a mischaracterisation. The article says the restriction relates to evidence “of a complainant's prior sexual activities” - which seems like it means not the one the trial is about. Let me know if you think I’m wrong but otherwise if you have the video you suggest it should be valid exculpatory evidence. I know there are a lot of examples of the system being unfair but let’s not psych ourselves out unnecessarily by imagining things to be worse than they are. Edit: Yes I see those … | /r/MensRights | 01/07/22 11:35 AM
Let's not let this sub be anything like r/TwoXChromosomes.This is a great idea and this attitude is something to bear in mind for people on the other side of the coin we might interact with (by choice or otherwise). That is, when somebody makes a discriminatory post bashing all men (for instance), consider that they may be hurting and bring some compassion to any discussion you have with them, instead of knee jerk anger. I think it can help lessen the pain those posts can cause us, as well as making the discussion more constructive for everyone. | /r/MensRights | 01/07/22 11:18 AM
