I'm glad you are able to see that at least. We're responsible for own choices/decisions. No his mind may not have been right but at the same time anybody that's suffered from severe depression has sat there and thought to themselves "I'm really depressed, I need to do something about it." Or some version of this. He may not have had the energy to set something up for himself, (this only has weight if he wasn't in therapy). Anyways what I'm trying to say is at some point between your brother work…

I'm sorry that you are looking for someone to blame other than him, because you don't want to be angry with him and instead you're projecting that anger onto his wife.
