3	So when it happens to a man it’s fine, but when it happens to a woman... They do. There’s way more women shelters and usually get into housing quicker. Women are less likely to be homeless because their chance of finding someone stay/live with is higher. Women have a higher rate of domestic abuse victims and a high percentage of women needing housing have custody of their children which pushes them to the front of the line.
