There's no substitute for having a clean, organized home to go back to at the end of the day. I can't imagine having to go home to clutter and piles of shit everywhere after a miserable day at work.

Of course the answer is you would be one less friend until after the divorce. Bingo. He's been my bud for the better part of 20 years, and it's just so much easier to let him pick his own torture and say, "Not my circus, not my monkeys."

I hope that kid sees this post and prepares himself to rebuff his sisters forthcoming demands for him to abandon his way of life.

I hope that kid can go to his father, or to some other family member. I had a really rough time in junior high & high school, but nothing like this. Damn, hope he pulls through.

I had some close calls (almost got into relationships) with three or four women my age at the time (early 20s), and held off on doing anything just long enough to see that they were all two-timing. Each one of them. I sought out some info on relationships and sexual dynamics a la podcasts, etc. online and came across this group and some other similar ones. I've always been super interested in learning about human behaviour, so I delved as deep as I could into female sexual behaviour and tendenci…

Buddy, police interview the accuser for information. She can't just tell them, "What do you mean what proof do I have? Do your research!" So what does that mean when women refuse to go to the authorities to make formal allegations, or refuse to press charges, yet still go on social media to slander somebody? THE WOMAN IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING EVIDENCE. This is so simple.

Police do investigation and fact-finding, but you're overlooking the fact that the burden of proof falls to the accuser. In court it is the the responsibility of the prosecution to provide evidence to prove guilt, while the defense answers that evidence, etc. It is a long-established agreement that in debate or any other similar arena, burden of proof is on the accuser. As such, when a woman accuses a man of X-Y-Z it is her responsibility to prove that it's true, not anybody else's to do that fo…

Generally used to mean that somebody is intentionally trying to goad certain behaviours, so that somebody can be caught doing or saying something wrong.

Some men may be "scared," but plenty others have realized that the risk simply is not worth the reward. The effect of modern feminism is that you are much less likely to be "courted/approached/chased." Men are severely punished for doing much, much less now. You may or may not be part of that threat in reality, but men see you and recognize that you could ruin their lives on a whim if you so choose, if they do so little as hit on you or treat you to a bad date. It's happened too many times to to…

Not 100% sure, but my own anecdotal experience leads me to believe that accounts probably have an invisible strike system, and eventually get shadowbanned or deleted if they 'offend' enough. Meaning that it's more important for some people to self-censor than it is for others. That's just my own personal conspiracy theory, though.

Some elements of the red pill community on youtube have been covering her recently. She's as vapid and empty as any of the rest, but she's popular.

Not everybody is going to be happy with the exact same things. Some people need to be around others and feel a sense of liveliness, some others don't really care either way, and yet some others are like you and me - don't enjoy being around other people. I can play nice with just about anybody, get along and whatnot. Spending a little bit of time with people can yield some fun. But ultimately I really enjoy having time alone to do whatever I want, for as long as I want, on my own terms.

Maybe play it cool for a bit so she lowers her guard, then convince one or two of her girlfriends to take her on a spa weekend or something, so she can get away and unwind. While she's out, just pack your shit and leave. Sucks to resort to something that sneaky and underhanded, but you're right not to mess with calling the cops. When it comes to a man's word versus a woman's, you don't want to bank on the cops believing you. Beyond that, it's just a good rule of thumb to try to avoid involving t…

Hadn't been aware of it until you posted, went and had a quick look. Seems like FDS except they realize they'll catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. They still acknowledge that they're trying to bag a "good man" and that they want to strategize toward that goal. I guess they must think that they're trying to achieve the same goal from a slightly different angle. Same shit, different day.

Can't really recommend outright telling marriage simps that you're happily single. If anybody proselytizes their religion zealously, it's marriage simps. You don't owe anybody an explanation for how you are or are not living your life, for any decisions you are or are not making. If somebody is fishing for info on your love life, you have plenty of polite and socially acceptable outs: I don't like to discuss my love life/personal life, This isn't the time/place to discuss this, I'm not comfortab…

Classic song by the Faces, I believe. It was used as the intro to Without A Paddle, with Seth Green back in the mid oughts. Most people may have heard it there.

Assuming that you don't want to get married, some people could view that line as a sort of challenge for them to find you the "right person" or something. I've had that happen to me. I've started telling people that I'm just too selfish to dedicate my time to someone else, because I want to do what I want, when I want, how I want, without having to worry about someone else's happiness.

Good man, well done! Happy to see that you're well defended in case she tries anything. Nothing quite like realizing you've had a leech attached to your back for the last while, severing it, and realizing how much less tired and drained you are after it's gone. Congratulations!

The only mistake the kid made was in telling his family about MGTOW. All he had to do was say, "No."

I feel like I more or less covered my bases on that part, when I said he was a fool for wanting to marry in the first place. In principle, though, if something is stolen from him, he was entirely spot-on with how he handled the situation,i believe.

OP is a fool to want to get married in the first place, but beyond that he's 100% in the right on this one. The whole rest of the family is stupid.

There were very serious problems within the first eight years. I'd say it probably "started" going downhill around 1791. The more recent major problems are probably, as other have said here already, around 1920, 1965, maybe Reagan's Immigration Reform and Control act of '86 was another blow against the U.S. But a lot of core problems were always there, right from the beginning, due to people like Hamilton being pure evil, and people like Washington trusting him implicitly.

I think the more realistic option is to just experience the pain of loss, and try to come out the other side. There's no good way to make this type of situation not hurt; it should hurt to lose somebody you love. When I'm dealing with something tough, I generally retreat to music. "My Old Man" by Steve Goodman and "Blue Umbrella" by John Prine would be my choices, were I in your shoes. When my old man goes, those songs are going to be my solace.

As far as no. 2 goes, I'd nip that in the bud ASAP. If trying to "politely shut it down" doesn't get them to drop the subject, it's time to "politely shut it down" about 10 - 15 decibels higher and make sure they get you. I would not be shy about telling my buddy that I'd rather just hang with him and not his girl. There's plenty of ways to have that conversation with him.
