Except Black History Month was created because due to slavery a lot of black Americans lost thier cultural heritage. Most white people know where thier ancestors came from but black people don't. -4	Seems about right The article talks about how the programs have benefited women by reconnecting them with communities, but people in this thread have decided by themselves that it means to the exclusion of men. The articles itself even has the subtitle 'starting with women' so to me it's pretty clear that this person wishes that these programs extended to men as well and that they just haven't yet. 1	Seems about right To be fair I think that's really what the article was suggesting, it was just using a hyperbolic title to get people to click on it. What I got from the article is that if you remove all non-violent criminals from prison then you'd be left with so few female prisoners that you wouldn't need this huge prison-industrial complex to keep them incarcerated and that there could be alternative methods to keeping the community safe.
