I would say theology/morality/values are most important, yes. I will also say, not every relationship starts out with sparks. It is sometimes slow to heat up. First off, where you're located, is it legal? To my understanding, there is no state in the US that legally recognizes more than one spouse. Low temp?? That's a surefire way for Gordon Ramsey to jump through your window and yell at you for making dry steak. We always do medium-high temp in a cast iron. It should only take a few minutes that way. Maybe add a little olive oil beforehand to crisp it, and butter to finish it. I'm not going to comment on your choice of doneness because that is what you're comfortable with. Higher temperature will yield better results and be faster, as well as searing the outside to retain moisture.
