To be fair, I think the advice shifts a little bit over 30. Everyone becomes a bit more self-aware over 30, men and women alike. Women in their 20s are still scared of their sexuality a lot of the time and so admitting that they have a voracious "I want the six-pack" part of themselves is hard. Over 30 and beyond, women (and men) are closer to integrating themselves with this revelation about themselves and are more sexually and intellectually honest about what they want. A good part of seductio…

Rough sketch: They notice me, I notice them. I go over to chat them up, we'll talk for a bit, exchange numbers, a day or two later I'll ask them what they're up to in [insert X days to a week depending on my schedule here] and if they want to get a drink. If yes, we'll do that. Usually fun, end the night, make out maybe. End there. If no, don't put much more effort into it. Let them contact me with a plan if they want to. Let me know where I can add more detail if needed.

I don’t think any woman is giving the advice to “become predictable”.

Fish can't fucking talk and hopefully you as the pursuer are not trying to kill, grill, and eat your partner. Sure, maybe straight women aren't always the best on hookup advice, but LTR advice is pretty sound.

Being asked out to go and get coffee or whatever sometime is low-key the way to my heart. We hear it so rarely it makes us feel so special, do it.

I meet a lot of women on apps/real life etc. Wonderful people and I really enjoy their company but I’ve just gotten out a multi year relationship and want to stay single. Still everyone immediately wants to make me a boyfriend - what am I doing that’s causing this and how can I keep things more casual?

I honestly find it impossible that you don't have any "wild and/or crazy stories" I just don't find it possible. If you've gone outside of your house at any point in your life you are BOUND to have stories to tell. You probably just don't view them as interesting, or you just can't remember any at the time. You are interesting. Everyone has value, even if you cannot see it for yourself. I'm 100% certain you haven't spend your whole life dancing and studying/schooling. Did you travel to all these…

Ok, I can take this to heart. I'm usually really interested in what they're saying, but when it comes to me I'm like "I do X, Y, and Z, and I love them" I guess it's up to me to deliver the reasons as to why. I do like your suggestion as well, I really appreciate that.

Well if person A (let's say John), wants to be in a romantic relationship with person B (Michelle), but Michelle doesn't like John that way for whatever reason but she likes his company. She knows that she doesn't want to say "go away", she likes his personality, but she doesn't want to date him. She says, essentially, "I would like to categorize you as friendship only" - that's actually how relationships would get built out if written out on paper. If you want to think about it analytically, it…

I think the idea of the friendzone needs to be updated. It certainly exists and it's just the idea that a woman only sees you as, maximum, a friend - whether you choose to be that friend is different.

Talking about ourselves activates the same pleasure centers of the brain that are associated with food and money. We only have a couple pleasure centers and they all activate whenever anything pleasurable happens. That's not saying anything.

Things I can confirm are true: \1. Drink tons of water. It's good for you. \3. Change your pillowcases weekly. Bad things build up on it \5. Don’t smoke This kills the human \11. Humans learn by imitating. Babies being the prime example of this \17. Wear things that basically never go out of style. This will save you a fuck ton of money \18. Don’t seek attention through your clothing. It looks douchey \20. If you’re a shorter guy, there’s no shame in wearing nice shoes which are specially made t…

Yeah, this was the glaring fuck-up I saw too. Everything else is fine (with the caveat of being very subjective). However, those same "caveman ancestors" he got so hyped up about would have eaten for pleasure too if it was available to them.

Seems like you did it right. Maybe avoid rearranging your schedule for her, but it doesn't hurt to do it once. Your friends said that because that's what friends do, we talk and be supportive. Take it with a grain of salt. You made 100% the right moves and she's probably feeling annoyed at herself given your level-headed response.

That's sweet advice. It's also nice that it gives a piece of evidence that women can give good advice, it just needs to come from a place of attentiveness from the woman watching the guy rather than the woman inserting herself as the direct object.

You would have had this post all locked up with tons of upvotes if you had just said that women have the same amount of anxiety as men do. That's all you needed to say. Title: "Remember, women are just as anxious about romantic interactions as you are, if not more" Text: When you're fumbling around remember that women are human and are just as anxious as you are, if not more. For every "mistake" you think you make, they also feel like they may have did something wrong. This all only applies befo…

I'm not actually in NYC anymore as of recently, but if you're starting off from scratch- first you have to get an interest. Then find other people with that interest. One thing that was great was: https://www.newyorkcares.org/ When you don't have a job volunteering is basically the gold mine of things you could be doing with your time that make you interesting - it's often just as good as saying I work at X (sometimes better). Ok. I'm going to suggest you re-read those books again in that case, it may be the case you missed the point. I've read them both, multiple times. Keep in mind that Dawkins book has a lot of criticisms addressing the very points you're making here. It's also a bit outdated. His definition of a gene itself is outdated. Kahneman's book is very good I agree. But it proves nothing to the points you've made here. It's mainly a book about neurological systems behind heuristics and loss aversion. Regar…

I'll just focus on seduction for now, but sure, it stemmed from that originally but it's progressed into a form of self-examination, self-control, and gauging interest carefully. All prefrontal cortex actions. If we still used non-PFC brain in isolation, we'd likely just end up stealing and raping anyone we found attractive at the time (that's how it happened in that era).

We likely never lived on Savannahs. That would have been incredibly disadvantageous considering we can climb and predators can't. (Edit: to clarify, we likely spent a lot of time on the savannah to hunt etc. but spent living times in higher caved areas, not to mention I think the forest v. Savannah argument is still being debated). We've also developed a neocortex that pretty much invalidates most of our Ka-era thinking (when it's working). That whole prefrontal cortex thing is crazy. When we de…

... Culture and society didn't "evolve" they can't evolve, they're not living. They were shaped, molded, and created by humans, mostly the humans that were in power at the time. And as such, they are a reflection of those power structures. I don't even know where you got this pseudoscience about developing to chase women. That's not a thing. Is this a troll thread? Am I missing something?

Is it really throwing you off that virgin had a ONS? She's a woman, she had sex, next. You do that too. Sounds believable to me. You just may meet more "traditional" women if you've never heard this before.

It fucking sucks for you to have heard that. I would have left however, upsides: You did well enough that the best friend let you get along with the girl. Getting past the best friend barrier is exceptionally hard especially if one party is drunk. You didn't fuck the drunkest girl at the party. I just wouldn't do this. Risky. Prevented a DUI and her potentially killing herself and others. You did just fine, you just chose the drunkest girl, small mistake in retrospect.

Don't buy into stupid BS about gingers being any less attractive off the bat. It has no merit. At all. Height may play a factor in attraction somewhat but you need to shed that attitude about ginger affecting your attractiveness before it consumes you (srs). Go find some matching clothes and dress well. It works on all hair colors.

incorrect. Behavioral psychology has evidence based on tons of fMRI data and other objectively analytical information. Evolutionary psych has inherent flaws in that it is a theory based upon a theory for which we're still discovering evidence and cannot be seen in the present.

I actually agree. Female self-esteem plays a huge role in how a woman responds to anything from just a conversation to a discussion about a date. It is a dimension that is overlooked in favor of other more generalized quantifying factors on this forum such as "ASD" etc, which is unfortunate. I think it's an excellent point to bring up personally. I will bring up two counter points though. In your second point, you mention the point of view "megan" may have gotten when she saw the guy immediately…

That wasn't sarcastic. I'm serious. We talk about going out assuming money is a non-factor, so it's a good idea to get a sense of how much people are spending. If you wanted to ask it somewhere else - ask men is next best, but a poor sample of men honestly.

You certainly can't salsa to any of those genres, no, if that's what you're asking. Salsa music is closely related to swing-type music. Needs a more jazzy feel. Much slower than current dance music.

So what bar is this that plays Salsa music? This is a great FR actually I'm just a little confused on the dancing. I absolutely abhor "dancing" that consists of jumping up and down next to someone else. Or swinging my body around with no sense of rhythm. Grinding is, I guess, the most common and natural extension of what I enjoy. Salsa is, of course a close second, but how often is salsa music playing? You can't salsa dance to Usher's "Climax" or any hip-hop/R&B/90s music/etc. Can you explain th…
