Have a lease. That’s a legal tenant landlord relationship

I wasn’t responding to a politician, I responded to the above comment

You said “blindly voting for progress” and “we do budge, just slowly and carefully” and my question is what changed for you between the early 2000’s and 2008, that caused you to agree that lgbt people deserve the same rights as you. Because I think that that change happened much too slowly, so much so that people died and had their lives ruined for most of this country’s history

Do you understand how physics work? If you are sitting down, and you put your hands on your boots, and pull them up, do you think any amount of arm strength is going to pull you to a standing position? No, because that force is not unbalanced. And force you apply upwards on the boots is being equaled by a downwards force from the rest of your body. You need other muscle groups or shifting of your body weight to arrive at a standing position. It is literally impossible. It is the definition of wh…

See I think this is so telling. You’re talking about careful and calculated progression, and then you bring up acceptance of queer people. I’m glad that in the last two decades you have come to view more people as being deserving of rights, but the fact that that’s your example of something that progressives have moved too quickly on highlights the issue for me

Just came to say the phrase “pulling up by the bootstraps” is a description of something that is physically impossible. The idea was coined to explain that it cannot be done to simply “lift yourself out of poverty” without some help.

I never pretended to. I just claimed to know what it’s like to date different types of men. And the men who behave like the red pill describes are not as sexy as you think. You should check out r/arethestraightsok funny stuff

You guys are wild. Do you think there is a dichotomy between red pill and blue pill, if you’re not one you’re the other? Red pill ideology gives a bunch of weird language, obsession with appearance and “masculinity”. You think your date will feel protected and attracted to you, but really we’re just embarrassed you argued with the Uber driver about the route he took. There are endless types of men who don’t belong to the idiot manosphere. Sauce: gay man, so I have more experience with men than a…

The issue here is the reaction of other people. People are socialized to believe that men should behave a certain way, and will maybe even think differently about a man who exhibits those behaviors. That’s an issue that needs to be addressed on a societal level, we know that men do better (suicide rates, rates of committing crimes, success of romantic relationships) when they do not believe that they need to hide their emotions. It’s not an opinion, when people bottle things up, it busts out in …

The fairly odd parents addresses this issue fairly in depth, in the episode where Timmy wishes that everyone were to look the same. The show tells us that people will still try to find arbitrary differences between one another. Not to mention, since everybody looked the same nobody could tell anybody apart, the fairy godparents couldn’t find their kids and died from magic buildup. It’s no laughing matter

Gay men like boys too, lol. FDS chicks are mad because they feel entitled to a certain type of men, and men disagree.

You don’t need them, but it is a totally reasonable way to live your life. You get to choose partners based on any criteria you would like. All I’m saying is that it’s really nice when you start dating someone and they are already good at sex. This just seems like a way to rationalize your weird Puritan ideas of sex and relationships as a good thing

No, you don’t have to, but practice and experience go a long way with sex. I’ll tell you for sure I give a much better blowjob than I did 10 years ago, because I’ve had the opportunity to practice. And my boyfriend now gets to be the beneficiary of my practice. A person who knows what they like and what they are good at will always be more attractive than someone who has limited or no experience

This is idiotic. Not based in fact at all. 18-20 year olds make terrible partners (obviously exceptions exist) but older people don’t simply get closed off

This honestly makes me sad to hear. Sex is so much fun, and exploring sex and knowing what you like and want is huge in a relationship. If you get the exploring out of the way when you’re young, you can pick someone with whom you have good sexual chemistry. Rather than marrying someone and then it turns out you need very different sex

They’re just legbeards, lol. They don’t get what they feel they deserve, a man to pay for everything and still do everything she says, so all men are disgusting. They have a lot of good points too, and they want to help people. But jeez, if you hate men so much, leave them for those of us who really like them, lmao

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
