Chronic pain, anxiety, depression and fatigue for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/26 11:21 AM

Yep, I've gotten this before too. Some literally don't count it as affection or trying at all if it isn't sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/26 11:08 AM

Mine is I don't want to do it when I have any bodily discomfort, too tired, stomach issues, resentful/angry at him or he said or did something that made me upset. I also need to be calm when it comes to my anxiety. To be fair, I have chronic issues which makes my body and brain not feel good most of the time, so it's been challenging to be in the mood.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/26 10:54 AM

I never slept with anyone before I got married. I met my husband online and we talked a bunch over the phone and online and then got married pretty soon after meeting irl. I'd never even kissed anyone before meeting him.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/26 10:29 AM

Also, if he's attentive,, complimenting her and being affectionate. It goes a loooooong way. Like, how is she going to feel sexy when her man doesn't even acknowledge it?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/26 10:26 AM

Or maybe he used to super compliment you all the time, tons of 'I love yous', 'your beautiful', etc and write you cute letters/notes/poems and seem excited to talk to you and actually pay attention to what you say, and take an interest in your interests, but then he stopped doing most if not all of that, so what does he expect? Even if he's great in bed dropping all the romance and seduction is sad and makes her feel bad about herself, and makes her feel like there's nothing to look forward to. …

He doesn't love her. He only liked how she looked and how her appearance made him feel about himself when he was younger, now he wants to relive that with a younger woman, but he's still this age. It doesn't make him any younger, no matter how much he lifts in the gym, and I highly doubt all the young 20 year olds are just itching to get with his rude ass. lol. No idea why you got so many downvotes as you were the only one to say what marriage is truly about, but this is a 'MaN's sub,' so, lol

Of course she's probably depressed. She's with this douchebag.

It sounds like he wouldn't be attracted to her no matter what, because he's only attracted to 'cute youthfulness'.

I have a lot of these issues with food too. The only time I've ever been able to control my appetite and lose consistently was on a carnivore diet. I also have chronic pain, which makes it hard to do a lot of exercise, but I do some stuff every day just because I like it and to take the edge off my pain. If I'm around carbs I overeat and I have constant food noise about it. Also, I imagine flighty OP doesn't really make his wife feel motivated to abandon comfort eating just for him, when he does…
/r/MensRights25/05/26 05:42 AM

What is really annoying is how gross and mean all the boys at my school was to me (a short, fat, below average looks female) as a kid/teen. All through school, but it got worse in middle and high school, until I dropped out. I was a bit of a tomboy, so I probably had a lot in common with them had they given me a chance and been friendly to me. I also am a huge romantic. But school really, really sucked because of them.

If you were in the South (unless you are?) people would probably still be saying it back. People in my town are pretty polite, and I always try to smile or say hi to people back if they acknowledge me.

They make whole movies about the other way around. I literally just watched the Jeff Goldblum movie, "Shooting Elizabeth" which is basically the guy decides to murder his wife on a vacation because she is verbally abusive. Another movie, "Throw Mama from the Train' basically has a son wanting his mother dead, because he finds her annoying and clingy. Also, 'Goodbye Earl' is a hilarious song.

See, I made that comment earlier in my marriage when my husband was pestering me all the time for sex, that he made me feel like he wanted sex, not me, and he got so mad, but that's how he made me feel about it. Maybe don't act that way if you can't take being called out on it.

I'd want to 'make my husband feel desired' if he wanted to actually do some of the stuff I like too. We talked over the phone and internet for close to a year and a half before meeting in person, and he wrote me letters and poetry and told me how much he loved me and how lucky he was to have me and how he wanted to hold and hug and kiss me, and now it's just sex he wants and you have to basically pry teeth to get any compliments or I love yous. And he DEFINITELY hasn't said he was lucky to have …

It's just an excuse, like it's so hard to tell her daily how much you love and care about her, or to notice little things and compliment them, like, " I love when the light hits your hair like that." I'm a huge romantic, tho. And a writer. Maybe there was never a chance for me, lol..
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/26 11:56 PM

Because men don't care. If I said those things to my husband he'll just get mad and go right back to the point of, "you don't have sex with me enough". Even after I've done stuff he still never is romantic and he barely compliments me and hardly ever hugs me, and the only times he ever does those things is after I've had sex with him. Rarely does he do those things without me having to put myself out there for his benefit, and rarely, RARELY does he apologize for making me feel unseen.

I might be old school, but that still sounds pretty 'straight away', but I waited until marriage, so.

I really believe this too, but to add, they also want someone to 'TALK AT' (not to). They don't even seem to care if you're listening. Also, awesome name.

This is my fear. I've always been fat and I consider myself unattractive (not just because of my weight), I also have mental issues and meltdown easily. I have pain and mobility issues a bit too, so I'm lazy and don't feel very useful around the house. My husband has been my only partner, tho for anything. It would kill me if he felt this way about me, but I think about it a lot.

Bellydancing isn't dirty. It's not disgraceful. You can wear more modest clothes if you want. A lot of the crowd do tend to be women, actually, if you've ever watched videos of performances. It is a healing, natural and ancient practice. All the moves are good for the women's body, and they are healing in a mental/emotional way too.

Oh, I'm so sorry. One of my fave hobbies is belly dancing too. I don't do anything with it (I'm not at that level, anyway), like I don't record it or perform. It's just for my own enjoyment. It's my main form of cardio every day. Can you just keep it to yourself? There are amazing YTers who teach. It's how I learned. Belly Dancer Diaries, Leilach Issac, Femonlinedance. (Sorry, got too excited and posted before completely reading. Leaving it up, anyway). But it must feel amazing to be paid for do…

If you think it's worth changing for him. But how are you going to feel when you have tried your hardest to change all the things he complains about and suddenly he wants you to change more, or he's wistfully reminiscing about how you 'used to be.' I'm just saying it doesn't sound like there's any winning with this guy.

I'm writing stories too, and although I've had issues with kind of getting dragged down into feminist ideology, I always try to make the male characters in my stories at least well rounded people whether the protagonist or a villain or an 'npc', lol. I have a fantasy story with two main male characters and one of them is genuinely a good role model. He cares about his friends, he's protective, he's strong and brave and knows survival skills. In the meantime try some youtube exercise videos. You could even do them with your kids (depending on their age). There's tabata with GrowwithJo (she's very warm and uplifting), Leslie Sansone inside walks. Yoga would probably really benefit you, especially yin, although yoga with vinyasa can be exhilarating. I like Yoga with Kassandra and Yoga with Adriene. If you like dancing, try some belly dancing YT videos. They're really fun. The channels I enjoy are: Femonlinedance (or it might be Femdanc…

I was made fun of constantly by the boys at school in elementary school to high school (but it got way worse in high school) for how I looked. I eventually dropped out because of the bullying. Someone even drove by my house when I was outside walking and made fun of me, and I lived in a rural area, away from school. Every boy I even had crushes on in school acted like it was the grossest, worst thing ever. I could only get a bf online, because guys could actually talk to me and get a sense of my…

My ring is just a gold band. I love stones, but it was what he could afford (he had already spent a lot of money to come visit me, and we needed money to get married at the courthouse and then for me to go back to his home by bus). Also, I'm so clumsy, I know I would have ruined a ring with stones by now, and that would have made me feel awful. He is very affectionate when it comes to buying me things and he's a great gift-giver, but he does view expensive jewelry and cut flowers as wastes of mo…

For real. As someone enjoying playing Baldur's Gate 3 with her husband and talking about the 'romances' in the game, this gave me a cackle.

This is BS. My husband has never been turned off by my comfortable cotton underwear, and I'm a big woman and wear hi-rise undies. He likes the ones that are lighter shade (he says they meld into my skintone), but he has never said no in the middle of making out because I was wearing 'grannie panties', lol.

I had to learn to rely less on my husband for my happiness, but you don't have to be perfectly happy being alone to deserve a partner. I am more comfortable with my alone time now as a married woman than I was when I wasn't married. I was restless as a younger woman, always needing someone to constantly talk to or listen to me talk.

I love romance, but I more like a romantic subplot in the midst of another plot, so I have barely read any of the popular romance books (except, I guess, for some of the Anita Blake books). I've never read this book.

I try to read some every day. I'm a writer, tho, so I feel it's important to read, plus reading was one of my first loves. Lately I've been trying to read things I normally would never read (I just finished the third Dune book).

I'm a writer and have written romances that I'm not actually interested in, because my protagonists are not me. It's like playing The Sims. None of them are real people, none are me, and I can make them all miserable and give them tons of drama *evil laugh*
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/23 10:58 PM

Hmm, did she think you were watching her and waiting for her to come back and holding the door that long?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/23 07:56 AM

A lot of women are fine taking compliments if the person behind them isn't being weird or creepy about it. I, myself, love compliments.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/23 07:37 AM

Just because it's being screamed at you on internet videos or is on billboards does not mean all men suddenly find fat women hot. (I am a fat woman. Men aren't just falling down around my feet at all times, but I'm married and the only time I go out is to buy groceries. Men settle because they feel the woman brings other things to the relationship (she cooks, would make a good mother, maybe she has money, she cleans well and waits on him hand and foot) and they are probably cheating.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/23 07:30 AM

I don't believe this. I do believe they will tell him he's pretty, but I don't believe they truly are being honest. I have seen some grotesque-looking men masquerading as women in rando women groups on fb and all the women swoon at them, because they know if they don't everyone will turn against them and call them a terf.

Thank you! As a teen, I was basically verbally bullied by nearly every guy I came in contact with (or noticed the bullying, because even guys I didn't actually know would join in). It was the reason I eventually dropped out. There was a handful of the really popular boys and some of my guy friends (mostly were gay) who didn't make fun of me, tho. With all that I'm surprised I even looked for a boyfriend at all, then, but I was obsessed with romance. I did eventually marry. It hasn't been perfect…

I don't know about anyone else, but I met my husband by chance on a chat site. It was an avatar chat site called, 'The Doll Palace'. We started talking on AIM after that and then started talking on the phone for hours every night (we'd sometimes fall asleep on the phone together). Then after a year or so met in person and got married within 2 weeks of hanging out. (This was around the early 2000s. If I was single I'd hear them out because I'm not flirted with often, also to see if they have any of the things I typically like about a person (which has nothing to do with appearance) and that's if they have media (movies, music, games, books) likes in common with me, if they are musical or if they write, themselves, and if they are interested in my hobbies or heap on praise at me (I don't get a lot of compliments). But I'm married. It's just a bonus if I'm also attracted to them physically (…

It's not love. He feels like she is his possession, so he's taking it personally when someone insults her. Just like a man might feel offended if someone insulted his home or his car.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/23 01:55 PM

Why would he put himself in that predicament if he loved his wife and knew cheating on her would hurt her?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/23 01:53 PM

Yes, he doesn't love her. If he loved her, he wouldn't want anybody else. If she thinks he's monogamous and would be hurt with him cheating if she found out then why would he still do it? (Hint: because he doesn't care about her, and doesn't love her).

Like, he knows who I am on the inside and still wants to be around me, wants to spend time with me, have conversations with me, go to places with me, etc. He also respects my insights, is genuinely interested in things I say and isn't just waiting for me to stop talking so he can talk.

The difference here is that some women absolutely need the foreplay or sex is going to be painful at worst and uncomfortable at best.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/22 12:10 PM
5

Have you ever heard of Responsive Desire? Some women are not turned on until they are literally doing the deed (foreplay). It doesn't mean anyone is bad at it, it's just how some women are wired.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/22 12:06 PM
6

Are you sure these women aren't just faking it with these 'chads' to get with them if they have money or status? Some people will go a long way to get a hold of those things.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/22 12:05 PM
6

Exactly. Intimacy before foreplay will be different for every woman, but a date, dinner, a walk together, a nice talk over a drink, having a new experience together, cooking together, dancing close, even playing a video game or a sport together could count. Playful competition can be hot.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/22 12:01 PM
5

The foreplay is the atmosphere, the dancing close, the touching and kissing, the alcohol and the taboo-ness of being in a public place.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/22 11:59 AM
1

Sometimes the foreplay is the best part.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/22 11:57 AM
3

IF (and the word really is if) these women are getting off with these 'chads' it's out of the novelty of what 'chad' is doing or saying as someone already said, or the fact that they're being taboo by doing it in a public place, or these women simply have a higher libido than average, or they get themselves in the mood beforehand. It literally could be anything, not just because the guy's hot. And just because something doesn't look like foreplay to you doesn't mean it doesn't count as foreplay …
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/22 11:50 AM

Dude will probably get off every time, so why does it have to be 'why should sex always be the OpTiMuM eXpErIeNce' when it comes to the woman wanting the stuff there that gets her off too? If the guy loves sex so much then he should enjoy those parts as well. It extends the experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/22 07:19 AM
9

Also, women need intimacy before foreplay even happens, or you're not going to even get close to getting any.

Or something to tease and bully.

Find a short girl. You think men are the only ones bullied for height? I'm a woman and in school, from middle school to when I finally dropped out in high school, I was bullied relentlessly for my height, just because I'm under 5 ft.

/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/22 11:21 PM

I agree with this. I am easily jealous. Plus, my husband is my best friend. Why would I tell another guy something first, instead of my husband, or go hang out with another guy instead of my husband? He's the man I'm with and the one I want to be with, so I'd just rather be with him, or talk to him, etc, instead of any other friend.

Same. I'm a introvert. Being alone wouldn't be worse than having to share my husband. I have had nightmares where he cheated on me and I attacked the woman. I have a very bad temper when it comes to things like that. I think I'd be unstable and dangerous to be around (for the other woman and maybe the husband).

I befriended some feminists for a while on fb and am trying to work through some of the "poisoning" I feel like I've gathered from seeing their posts and replies. It has been making me fight with my husband and brother a bit more, especially with the Amber Heard thing going on. I just have been feeling so angry all the time, and I'm not even close to these women. I have always joked to my husband that I'm easily manipulated and could probably be taken away to a cult, lol.

I really can't believe guys get this all the time when (as a girl) I was made fun of so much in school to the point I dropped out due to my height (I'm under 5ft, around 410, 411). And yes it was pretty much only guys, and a TON of them, like I always heard the crap in between classes, in class, someone drove by my home and shouted at me (and I live way out of the way from school), etc. A lot of it was guys I didn't even know. It made maddening.

I'm on the fence about feminism, but I have a lot of friends in it on social media and they say that the government is coming for contraceptives (including condoms) next and it's freaking me out, because although I'm married (and would never get an abortion), I have severe tokphobia and would probably rather die than go through that.

I'm not Asian, but I really like the Ulzzang look. The main thing is having beautiful skin and wearing either natural makeup or barely any (for me, I go with none and just try to have nice skin). Even though I'm obese, yoga and belly dance make me feel more attractive. Wearing skimpy clothes around your husband might inspire him to initiate. Or changing clothes around him. I know my husband always has to make a comment or make a move if I change my clothes or just wear a sleep-shirt and undies.

Idk about the tired part. It depends. Sometimes I will talk a mile a minute afterwards (then go exercise or clean) and sometimes I crash and sleep like the whole day.

Tanith Lee wrote a romance book called "The Silver Metal Lover" about a young woman who runs away from her home to live with a robot she's fallen in love with.

Thank you. I've noticed the "just do it" does work for me sometimes. I have the type of libido where I become receptive after stimulation, so most of the time I won't think I want to, but then when things get going I'm into it. A lot of the times when I'm going to say no, I stop myself and ask what is so important that I'm doing right this minute that can't be put on hold until later? Usually, I'm not doing anything I can't pick back up afterwards, so that helps. But sometimes I genuinely feel a…

You're sadly right. This killed my marriage for a long time, but we're slowly picking up the pieces. I wouldn't do anything sexual, or would shame him for his HL, and he wouldn't be "Romantic " (I didn't even know what I wanted when I'd say this, but I always felt dead inside and like something was missing and if he could just do this random romantic thing it'd be fixed). Slowly, it got worse and he became less affectionate and more temperamental. I read the book "Come as you are". At first it d…

How do you work yourself up to being able to do it every day? I'm the ll partner. My husband would be thrilled if I could do things every day. Right now we do something every few days and actual sex about once a week. I want to get better with it. We used to have a ton of resentment on both ends, but we're being better toward each other now and it's been nice.

What's sad is that my husband is a bit resentful that so many women are willing to have children without stressing about it, and here I am not wanting anything to do with that. He admitted recently to being disappointed, but said he wouldn't force it upon me. I know you can't change someone's mind about how THEY personally feel on something, but damn, I wish he WANTED to be childfree. It really bothers me, like I've ruined his life, or something. idk. I'm just thankful he respects me in this sit…

Yeah, most of my stuff is clutter and like dust/hair (we're both shedders, lol). My place is old, so it's almost impossible to keep bugs and mice out of it, but we try to keep it as clean as we can.

I'm childfree. My husband is excellent with our cat. She adores him. He's okay on housework. I get him to do the extra gross stuff I don't want to do, and I try to do the rest, but it's never perfectly clean, because I'm a bit slobby.

Imo, nothing is wrong with video games in moderation, but porn use is problematic for women, because it treats women like a commodity, thus making men view women the same way.

You getting jealous gives him an ego stroke, because it tells him you desire him. Don't react to them again, if you can. Don't give him the ego stroke. If he wants to feel secure in his relationship he can find a more loving way that doesn't disrespect you.

Do you reward this behavior? Like, do you do extra things for him after to try to be more appealing, or do you actually respond in a way he finds amusing? I'd go with not responding at all, and maybe check how you react afterwards toward him. I'm not saying don't be nice to him at all. Just don't reward the behavior. Let him get nothing out of doing it.

In school I was bullied by boys, because they didn't like how I looked. I was short, fat, had crooked teeth and acne. They harassed me by singing the oompa lumpa song from Willy Wonka every time they saw me, and then other boys would hear/see this, think it funny, and also do it and on and on it went. Someone even once drove past my house singing it, and I lived out of the way. Eventually, I dropped out and got my GED, because I was just so fed up hearing that stupid fucking song every time I we…

Maybe the hoops are there to ease the burden of all the housework off her. Men should do their share of housework too. And if the wife has no income of her own, shouldn't she be able to have things too, if the man buys things for himself and they're together?

A lot of the time when men aren't getting it regularly he stops being affectionate completely with the woman and then he starts being petty and resentful. She is supposed to put out for him without getting anything in return, since he holds affection and non-sexual intimacy hostage until she has begun to sleep with him on a consistent basis, and even then, he may still fret, because it may not be as good as he wants it to be. It's always something. There's always some excuse.

The men in that situation are lazy. They just want what they want, when they want it, and if they don't get it, they don't care to find out why or try to help mend the situation, they just find another way to get what they want.

I have this issue. It doesn't help that I migrate toward male-bashing posts/groups, ect. I have a husband, am in my 30s. I love my husband, but more than ever, we aren't getting along, and I know it's mostly my fault. I grew up constantly hearing my mom and her sister bash my dad, and then I didn't have a good relationship with my dad until I was an adult, and it also didn't help that boys bullied me through school to the point that I dropped out and got my GED. When I first met my husband he wa…

I have always struggled with my weight, but I started a good skin regimen in my mid 20s and I feel my face looks better than it did in my 20s (even though I'm still fat), because I literally put nothing on it ever. A lot of women do this. You will be ahead of them if you just moisturize.

Start a good skin regimen. Exercise. Eat and sleep good and stay hydrated. Do those things and don't forget your spf and you shouldn't see a big difference in your appearance between your 20s and 30.

This is purely anecdotal but I've noticed my chest has become perkier doing the chest exercises that come with belly dance. But you could also do chest weight exercises or even push ups to increase perkiness, which will give you the appearance of having more.

I can't afford plastic surgery or fillers or even braces, which I really need, but I do have a skincare regimen and use a sunhat or spf. I love trying skincare/haircare products. I dance and do yoga. I'm trying to lose weight and change my diet/drink more water (ahem lacroix) and have less sugar. I was fat when my husband met me, so the changes are mostly for me and my health and keeping my looks/health as long as possible rather than because my husband expects a certain appearance. Get a moisturizer with vitamin C (like Puritos seabuckthorn one) and use it. Moisturizing helps skin stay more elastic, and vitamin c improves that as well. Also, consider getting into weight lifting. Also, look into the snake diet dry fasting regimen. It's said to heal things like loose skin.

I agree. I think it's everyone wanting the easy way out and eating heavily processed food, but then even normal processed food (like bread) has high fructose corn syrup in it, which acts the same as sugar in the body. So that with little activity in the day, as well as sweet beverages (soda, juice, sugar in coffee), and your belly being used to large portions, it's not good.

That isn't even close to the same thing. Your post, someone is taking advantage of someone's stupidity regarding vehicles and trying to get more money than they should. Her profile sounds like she has everything up front. Her age, her appearance, the fact she's a mom, what she expects, ect. It's best to have more information on a profile than needed than not enough.

But those posts are usually because the men started it, with them either being inappropriate or aggressive or creepy. Women aren't going out of their way and baiting these guys to send dms. They do it all on their own, and only then are they posted and mocked.

I live in house-dresses and night-gowns, lol. My husband always makes comments about how I need more. Guess he likes it. They're not even showy or anything. They're very long and modest, but I really like being comfortable and with these I can be girlie and comfortable.

I love epsom salts with essential oils in it. I will use lavender epsom salts and pour a bit of my lavender castile soap into the water and then maybe a small dollop of coconut oil (small, as it could potentially clog the drain).

Yoga (helps with chronic stiffness and helps me not be as lazy. I took it up, also, because my husband wanted me to find something that actually helped my pain and not just covered over it for a few hours). My husband is very introverted. He's not one for tons of compliments and wordiness, but if there's something I want, he will try to get it for me, if our budget allows and he will help with chores or even do said chores without complaint if I don't feel good.

I really like purito's products (Korean and EWG-certified). I use their centella green toner, aha liquid, snail serum and peptide eye cream. I use one of their moisturizers (sea buckthorn) for my body (it's too much for my face, sadly), or if low on money, I just use coconut oil post-shower. I also wash with lavender castile soap. I only break out around my TOM or if I eat excessively bad now. I'm using the rest of my netrogena (sp?) spf/vitamin c right now, but plan to switch to purito's once i…
