Plenty of animals graze on grass and natural fodder. I'm not saying that modern capitalist animal husbandry practices aren't wasteful. And if we stopped consuming animal products, significantly more would be required to feed the human populace which would lead to a higher death toll for animals, the absolute destruction of soil quality and wide spread nutritional deficiency among the populace. I was a vegan for 2 years and believed all the same bullshit propaganda you've read. I'm a regular ol omnivore now that has escaped the ideology and now I see it for what it is.

Production of vegan appropriate food holds a significantly higher death toll for living creatures than meat. Unless of course, you only care about the pretty animals and not the rodents, birds and bugs. By all means, continue your diet if it's effective for you. But for sure keep the entirely unsolicited moral grand standing to yourself.
