Don't go ripping on Jerry. He's quite dumb, sure, but he is more three-dimensional than most "stupid suburban dad" characters, and in fact I'd guess that the writers were actively trying to subvert the expectations of that trope.

I think that ultimately comes down to a more deeply rooted issue, which is that most Americans see the justice system as state-instituted revenge against the perpetrator, when it should ideally be working to help rehabilitate those drawn to crime.

Except that the system is supposed to have guards against the tyranny of the majority. A filibuster is meant to act as such, for instance. Sadly, that is not how it is typically employed today.

My little sister's school is a very disciplinarian all-girls school. I guarantee you the other girls are being quiet around teachers out of fear and being snakes when out of sight.

My little sister actually goes to school with her daughter, and I can safely tell you guys that this woman is a cuntbitch in her personal life to. She totally fills the cheerleader stereotype of being emotionally immature and always needing to be the center of attention.

Agreed with you right up until you said that, The kind of guy who buys video games is not the kind of guy who cares about what Amanda Marcotte thinks.

This is odd, considering Sweden's national religion is feminism.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
