You cannot force people to be victims if they do not want to be. Adults who are in their right mind have a right to define themselves as a victim or not a victim. With that logic, you strip away a person's right; trading out one evil for another.

They didn't fail as parents. There is no malice in their decisions. They are only doing what they believe is best for their kids and following culture norms. I'm a literal circumcised male and I believe my parents did not fail in their job. Are you seriously going to tell me my parents failed despite me being the so called victim in question as if you have more of a right than I do when it comes to how I feel about it? I get that, but it was a different time. Depending on your age, circumcision reached it's height in the 80s at almost 65%. As much as it's not medically necessary, it probably didn't even cross their minds to not have you circumcised. I had this discussion about my two boys before they were born with friends and family. Let's say that circumcision is an abomination and mutilation, did your parents have that in mind when they told the doctor they wanted you circumcised? I highly doubt your parents made that decision out of malice. They most likely made that decision because the majority of males (58.3% in U.S.A.) are circumcised and your father is most likely circumcised. The trust between you and your parents isn't broken because of your circumcision.
