When you realise that the eugenics program described in Brave New World is a natural consequence of current society left unchecked.

It's the cheapest Eurozone country to fly to. Wow, that's some US public school level geography right there. Iceland is not a eurozone (€) country, its currency is the icelandic krona. It's not even a EU country, however it's a member in EFTA and the Schengen agreement. It's not a cheap country either, it's the most expensive country in the world because it's a barren volcanic island in the middle of the Atlantic where nothing grows and everything except fish has to be imported from overseas. Ev…

It has to be the hat. A year ago I was in the US (NJ to be exact) for technical training and I did wear a hat like that because I always do, and a number of customer service people immediately assumed I was irish or a descendant thereof.

To be fair, Carlos Tavares and Maxime Picat did the same with Peugeot after taking it over as a failing company and it's now a healthy car manufacturer making profit. They even bought Opel from GM, turning it into profit in less than a year - impressive considering under GM ownership Opel had made an average of $1B loss annually in the previous 19 years. Just shows how bad GM management has been.

He's not completely wrong. Depression cannot be cured by a doctor in the same way, say, an inflamed appendix can be, a long term solution requires the patient to work on his thinking and behaviour with or without a therapist. However, to get to the point where the patient is capable of doing that some antidepressants usually help tremendeously.

Ackhually in most western democracies spousal support is awarded extremely rarely. Unfortunately (to our english-speaking brothers) the countries that speak english are all divorce rape countries. Germany? Alimony is almost never awarded. Nordic countries? It's so rare that when it happens it reported in the papers and even then it's just a couple of years max. France? Doesn't happen. Greece, the birthplace of democracy, they're actually pretty generous, there it's a maximum of 3 years and the s…

For shits and giggles I scouted all the exes I could find on Facebeook. They're all single mom hambeasts now and most don't seem to work. Bullets properly dodged.

OK stop. Clownposting draws the kind of attention from the woke wing that we don't need. AHS is furious that they can't get MGTOW shut down, don't give them ammo.

It's only discrimination if you get caught. Where I live there's constant talk in the media about older people having hard time getting jobs so by filling your woman quota by hiring postmenopausal women you'd actually get some virtue signalling points.

That's why you need to eliminate them during the selection process. Were I in the position, I'd only hire men and old barren women if they had the experience. Employees giving birth also cost the employer a shitload of money to boot in maternity leave pay and having to hire replacements etc.

Me neither. Helping people who need it is the flight attendants' job. I always pick the window seat and I'm usually about the last person to get off the plane. I just sit back and let the unwashed masses stand on the aisle and stress their heads off.

There's a difference if he's doing it willingly and no infidelity is involved. I know of a guy who's a great dad to two boys who aren't his (the bio dad is dead). He says he sees the whole dad thing having more to do with raising the kids into upstanding adults instead of simply passing on genes because, according to him, passing on the genes is the easy part. I kind of see his point.

If the timing was suspicious, a court would examine if it constituted an attempt to circumvent the law on inheritance. If not, there's also the gift tax. On a gift of 5k€ or over the receiver must pay a tax and it's pretty heavy. This is to prevent pre-emptively giving away an inheritance in order to avoid the inheritance tax because it is hefty, but not as hefty as the gift tax.

Motherfucking this. Took me 25 years to understand that nobody likes it straight like I do, another 5 to learn how to sugarcoat my shit.

Of course it is. Nobody drinks hard liquor in the sauna and the bit about inheritance is all wrong. Under finnish law you can't do that. Regardless of what's been written in a will, direct descendants are always entitled to at least half of their parents' estate. Only in a case where a descendant has through his/own intentional and criminal action gravely insulted the person or his/her children can a direct descendant be stripped of their share of the estate. Source: am finnish and just went thr…

To play devil's advocate, this development is more due to the diminishing importance of marriage rather than thottery. Dad's still around most of the cases, they're just not married (because, well, weddings are, and are expected to be, ridiculously expensive in the US where the study was made).

For a grown man a 400cc 2-cylinder Kawasaki would be a major step backwards. Kawasaki is selling all kinds of lame-ass shit with the Ninja name these days hoping to cash in on the association with the H2, ZX-10R, ZX-6R and even the ZX-14R. The Ninja 400 is so anemic Kawasaki is too embarrassed to even post the actual power figure on their official website because it's less than the ZXR400 from 30 years ago. So yeah, I'm keeping my 15-year old GSX-R 600 please. It still may be a girls' bike but a…

Most def not an S1000. Lacks the lopsided headlights, has a shaft drive and looks about 100kg overweight to boot. This is a K-something touring model.

Škodas are sold all over Europe and there are palm trees planted here and there in southern europe. The watermark in the image points to a site in the Dominican Republic.

No, I mean the city itself. You know how all of Stockholm looks overly neat, plasticky and almost sterile while a lot of it is totally infested with immigrants? Not Athens. The places that have an immigrant infestation look rough, while the nice places also look nice and clean. No guesswork involved.

I love Athens. It's pretty where it needs to be and it looks rough where it is rough. Athens wears no makeup, it's a WYSIWYG city.

I work as a controls and commissioning engineer in a position where I travel quite a lot commissioning industrial systems. These days people are so unwilling to step out of the comfort zone of their home and office that someone actually willing to travel will be head and shoulders above everyone else for any kind of commissioning position.

You do know that Jensen is literally chasing after his ex-girlfriend through most of the game? A great game, regardless.
