Yes! I joined a bunch of those types too but they tend to be male dominated. Have u noticed some of them can be repetitive too? I swear I’m so tired of those posts from depressed dudes “made my bed today and didn’t eat fast food. It’s a start” like yeah great buddy but does this need a post lol

I love that subreddit too but it can run negative sometimes also. I’m not trying to bash these types of posts at all because we definitely need a space to vent but just having a positive only fds option would be great too!

I’ve been reading Why Does He Do That by Lundy Bancroft and it’s been very educational. I thought that most abusers were abused themselves as kids... NOPE. That’s actually a myth! Most ppl that were abused (like myself) don’t go on to abuse others. Definitely recommend the book!

Haha you’re right! I’m learning from this that I missed some red flags bc I was holding on to the past and romanticizing. I’m going to utilize my romantic ideals from now on by insisting my standards are met consistently. I’ve definitely learned a lot from this! This lesson won’t be wasted on me lol

Sorry ur also going thru this! Yeah, I’m really romantic too and that’s part of the reason my standards are so high; I expect to give and receive romance and passion throughout my life. I think it’s best not to text back, he hasn’t made any effort so why should u? I went no contact with my ex even tho he tried to reach back out, I just don’t think that convo would go anywhere productive. I think these dudes just aren’t mature enough and it’s in our best interest to let them go to make room for t…

3-4 months it was perfect, even at the time I was nervous cause it seemed too perfect but we had a communication breakdown around then and now looking back I should have just left it there cos it never was quite the same after. I think I’m realizing that I should have let go instead of holding on to what used to be. I’m definitely using this as a lesson to learn.

Hey queens, I broke up with the guy I was dating right before shit really hit the fan and shelter in place took effect. I’m feeling like it was def what needed to happen, I haven’t spoken to him since and the thought of doing so isn’t really appealing either. The thing that bothers me the most is how he appeared to be HVM initially, I guess it’s bittersweet thinking about the good times and when he was passionate about spending time with me. Things began to fall apart when he started a new job t…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
