Exactly. He has provided good discussion and used to be a pretty neutral figure. Like the Weinstein brothers (mostly Bret) they devolved into speaking down to the audience, using complicated arguments with big words and ridiculous assumed premises to create an image of a coherent point. “I’m smarter than you” is basically the whole schtick, after some time I definitely realized I’m just listening to elaborate rationalizations of their bigoted feelings

The only issue I had was speaking for “a lot of men” as you said in your post, however in the comment you linked you just said “I wouldn’t like that” which is fair enough. That said, I think the issue is that she’s asking about how it might affect her mental health, or if she’s motivated by the right reasons. She wasn’t asking if you would find her more or less attractive afterwards, but that’s how you answered. You made it about her value/worth to a man, which wasn’t her question. Add bonus poi…

Ask her what the purpose of saying that is, what is she trying to accomplish? If she’s just venting her feelings then ok fine, but if she’s trying to make a point of some kind then ask her to expand on the point. Get her to rephrase it somehow, and then ask which version is more effective at communicating her point. At your age tho, she’s likely just venting or thinks it’s “cool” or “edgy”. Sadly I know people twice your age who still act like this

My only amendment to this would be that the supposed father could choose to opt out, but otherwise it’s mandatory.

Yes but you’re missing my point. In order to convince someone of all of your points, they need to listen. They’ll shut off the instant you shit on “feminism”, because they interpret that differently than you do. They have their own idea of what that means, as do you, as do I. Be more specific, stop with the generalizations, and maybe this message is heard. Or yeah just blame feminists. And be mad. Or work toward an actual resolution. Idk what this sub wants to do but if the goal is real change t…

That we communicate our point so it is heard correctly by anyone who reads it. Not everyone who would consider themselves a feminist wants to kill all men. Not all of them hate men. The vast majority see the problems on both sides of the gender aisle. My argument is that “feminism” can mean a lot of things. The only portrayal in this subreddit is the most extreme of them. Within this sub, talking shit on that term is widely accepted, which is valid given the context. Some random person without a…

Bruh take a breath. I’m on your side. Rants like this are the exact problem I’m talking about. Wanna be heard? Want things to change? Start getting people to listen. Even I don’t wanna listen to your waaahmbulance siren

Fair point, but I don’t think it negates the point that a casual reader understands this context. MRA’s are widely considered as people who hate women/“feminism” (in the ignorant sense of the word). I’m just saying that anyone who randomly comes across this sub without understanding the deeper context could easily be put off. It’s important to understand your audience when communicating an idea. We all understand what we mean when using certain words, but not everyone does, and it does us a diss…

Agree wholeheartedly with your overall point, sorry to nitpick but it’s something that irks me when I visit this sub - the blanket term “feminist”. And this isn’t directed at you, just something I needed to get off my chest about this sub in general. Anyone can call themselves a feminist and say whatever they want. It’s one of those terms that has no real meaning. While I understand exactly who you’re referring to, not everyone will. It’s treading dangerously close to the “All Men” bullshit we s…

Love the comic, hate the title. I’ll continue being me, being open about the disaster of a life I lead, and in turn it’ll weed out all of the bullshit people so win/win

Wait someone actually said that to you? “We don’t hire men”??? Idk what country you’re in but that’s insanely illegal in the US, and I’d be shocked if an HR rep was dumb enough to actually say that

It is seriously considered sexist to even bring up anything about men’s rights. I consider myself far-left, but I’ve been called alt-right for even bringing up men’s issues by friends who probably had the exact same ballot (voting wise) as I did. To anyone on the right - I was not insulted bc of that, but because of the polarity of it all. “Oh you disagreed with me once you’re the enemy” kind of mentality, which I see on both sides of the aisle. My god I wish there were more than two choices, or…

And I fucking applaud you for it - I guess I don’t see how less than a third of women want to be full-time moms is a problem.

The fuck does this have to do with men’s rights? What a garbage post. A lot of women want that family life, and a lot of men are looking for these women. Best of luck to them, not what I want but idgaf how anyone else wants to live their life. Go find the 61% of women who don’t want to be housewives if you have a problem with this. Seriously posts like this make me want to leave this sub

Only if people like us leave. When I first joined this seemed a reasonable and educating sub, now I’m almost embarrassed for being active here. But if we leave, they win, and fuck that

Idk how this relates to this sub. I’d applaud any man who made this same comment. People can be dicks, they can make mistakes, this isn’t a sexual rights issue

Seriously this is so dumb. I’m sure OP would totally upvote this same comment with the genders reversed

I don’t subscribe to this sub to hear about a man’s “right” to assault someone and get away with it. I don’t have a problem with how she handled it - that’s up to her - but it has literally nothing to do with Men’s rights

Just downvote the bs like this and help to clean it up. Toxic people are everywhere, and usually the loudest, doesn’t mean we have to let them control the narrative.

You should just assume the worst, just like feminists assume all men are rapists. /s

For a woman this would be my go-to suggestion. It's well done, and Cassie does a great job of being vulnerable about her own views throughout the movie.

The title is 100% accurate... you aren’t adding anything to the discussion but your own bias that lying about rape is ok

I’m sure you a chill dude who just likes taking care of himself, but as an outsider this entire post screams of exactly what you’re complaining about. “They’re beneath me, they don’t even really lift, they’re insecure about everything, oh did I mention I lift and bang bitches? Fucking betas” Sorry but to me anyone who even talks about alphas and betas seem insecure as fuck to me. Just do you, fuck the haters, fuck defining yourself or justifying yourself to anyone. You don’t see any hypocrisy calling people “wanna be alpha male pussies” one sentence after bringing up the (completely unrelated) fact that you lift? Or that anyone who posts there is an insecure little bitch, while you post this rant about being banned from posting there? Sounds pretty insecure to me. But hey congrats on lifting and getting laid bruh
