Anyone can high standards. If someone sets theirs too high, they will be left single. Even very attractive women are single, and there is usually a reason why, and it's not by choice. Absolutely. I got my wife a job working at my coal mine, making $30/hr. She made it all summer, and then came the beginning of the school year. Because of her schedule, she was going to miss the first day of school. She then realized how much of her youngest's firsts she will miss. She chose to leave the mine job to work at the school making $13/hr, just to be able to spend more time with the kids. When I worked oilfield 6 or so years ago, it was BOOMING. Sounds like it's time to move out of the city then. I used to live in south Florida. Housing ballooned, along with rent. Ended up moving to a new state, and purchased a home twice the size at half the price.
