I think I have given up on internet debate

Hopefully reddit going dark will be the push I need to finally move to Twitter. I'm only here for work-related subreddits and some debate like here. But I feel the debate here (reddit in general) less and less fulfilling every year. This subreddit was intriguing at first, but it feels like the arguments go in circles and we are slowly circling down the toilet bowl

Imagine having sex with your life partner and a fruitful family in 2023. Some people are so delusional.

lol that's why Western Men complain about how they have no success in those countries. If you're fat but rich it makes up for it for many. Some don't learn any language and get by on a smartphone translation app. Doing all those things sets you apart even more: Being fit, learning the language, trying to fit into the culture as a westerner
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/23 04:23 AM

Famous aesthetic portraits of men is fit men more so than fat men. Wealth is the only positive with fat men. Wealth + Looks + Fertility was the positive for fat women. Obviously there's a disconnect, also I cant think of a famous fat man portrait that is deemed aesthetic off the top of my head

oh no, don't have to fuck a bunch of guys. If he's a 8/10, he fucks you and then stops talking to you, maybe you're not a 8/10. Now you know for all 8/10s. The more you learn.

She can go on the internet and realize that you're probably the best she can get. That's fine. I went to South America and I was seeing a girl who would watch tik toks of western guys with people from her country. To me it was a bit annoying, but to her it showed I was probably the best she could get. I was good to her, treated her right, was taller, richer, etc. End of the day I'm a stacy-chaser so I moved on.

Has nothing to do with Asian cultures and more to do with being taller, richer, and exotic in a different country. That makes you stand out in a good way for women. You pull because you're appreciated for your qualities. Also if you learn the language even better.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/23 01:29 AM

Yeah, and you're the hypergamous pick since you're richer, taller, and exotic in most countries passport bros refer to

Stfu if you think a kid is more work than a corporate job. At least my parents are honest and my mom who raised four says the stress was lower than my dad doing a corporate job for six figures. If your kids aren't animals (like most kids with negligent parents are) then it's smooth sailing. I can think of 5 occasions when I was a pain for my parents and all the other times I was helping around the house and doing chores. Piss off.

Similarly, if men spent as much time on their faces and bodies that women did, they would equally be of a superior aesthetic. If you look at ancient statues/sculptures it's apparent that only peak physical men are portrayed but women can be fat or skinny and it's still considered aesthetic (Fat would symbolize "fertility" for many). The beauty standards of men have always been more restricted than women, it has nothing to do with how much time women spend on their bodies since even fatties are t…

Peak Male physique is captured as one of the most aesthetic views of the human race. David and "The Thinker" are two of the most famous sculptures. In ancient Greek/Roman temples there are many sculptures of gods, but when they are portrayed as aesthetic it's never fat. Fat women were sometimes displayed which would symbolize "fertility", so from the aesthetic view the only beautiful men were physically fit while beautiful women could be fat or toned. But even now you see internet culture with C…

A lot of people would stay with someone that's jobless/sick by no fault of their own over someone that's jobless/sick due to their own choices. I doubt this matters to the degree you think it does. If you aren't bringing home the bacon you aren't bringing home the bacon and you better sort it out. Maybe you get a few months, but if at that point you're still not fulfilling your "role" your utility is moot. Same with sick, if I was married to someone and had kids I'd stick with them but if I was …

overwhelmingly with the dudes they meet at the hostel or club who are also from western countries. Hmm just increased competition for those men I'm sure, but I don't think many guys would say no to hooking up if they aren't partnered. Oh are none of them long-term staying and dating long-term? Based on your phrasing my understanding is you see some guys staying/dating long-term, but do the Western women just not in Thailand...?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/23 03:13 AM
1

Hmm interesting, from the western women you know there is it mostly a choice from them choosing to be single? In case they're not attracted to the locals and are holding out for the western immigrants there as well?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/23 12:02 AM

If being jobless is a choice these aren't equivalents. Being sick isn't a choice. Standards are standards regardless of if it's a choice or not. If there's one thing women have made abundantly clear it's that they have standards for a height preference. Unfortunately, most people don't choose to be short.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/23 12:01 AM

Nice, how's it looking so far and what's your FIRE number? I'm still deciding on that number for when I quit, I'll probably just slowly fizzle work out and do just contracting after that once I hit my number. It will a retired, but working when I feel like it type of future is the way I envision it.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/23 10:10 PM

I might do that or contracting off and on. My job is somewhat fruitful but I'm definitely not going to be putting anywhere close to the same number of hours and it will be out of choice rather than necessity to clock in and out.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/23 10:07 PM

If I'm retired i'm gonna do what I want, like make a garden, mess around with a drone, go to the beach, go to the gym regularly, etc. I could travel too but I'm just saying you'd have more time to do things you don't have the time to do now because work gets in the way and takes your energy.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/23 10:06 PM
1

Good answer, and I don't like saying "it depends" always, but this is definitely one of those "it depends" situations. I still stand with the original argument especially since I'm making such a general statement and in many cases being from a different culture will be a good differentiator although certain cases other cultures aren't accepting of others' or certain other groups
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/23 10:04 PM
1

Good point that it is highly dependent on the culture. Some cultures are more accepting of dating out than others. Heck I heard some Indian woman who tried to date out was attacked by relatives with Acid to the face, when I talked to my Chinese boss her parents were going to disown her at first... Comparing this to other cultures like maybe in South America/Central America or even some South East Asian countries this seems to be less of an issue.

I agree it's not a silver bullet and I understand your experience. I feel the US is more of a melting pot than other countries in terms of the amount of different cultures here (at least near the coasts), so there may be less of this "exotic" factor available than other countries. To a degree you're probably still exotic, but I have known a few West Africans and I'm pretty rural so I don't think it's that rare compared to maybe like a white guy in some South American country like Peru or somethi…

Mexicans actually pair with white girls and guys at a decent rate in the USA. It's the most common interacial relationship here
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/23 09:52 PM
1

This is an interesting perspective, since it's the opposite of what some others may say. I usually hear people succeed outside the USA more than in the USA, but you say you were abroad for 6 whole years and had no luck. Do you think there was anything you were missing in terms of the competition when you lived abroad or was it a matter of choice for you?

How is the experience for women living in Thailand? Is it as good as I hear the experience is for US men in terms of dating?

If you are actually interested, go for it. Some people (not all) love playing language teacher, so it could be a fun way to connect. yup that's my experience. I'll probably do this again. I found it both fun and nice to share different cultures.

You have to be from a culture that women consider different but close enough that it’s still similar to their own I'm not sure this is necessary. I understand attractive. Height seems universal for that, but beyond that is it a matter of different or a matter of somehow more physically attractive?

Is it hot to learn someone else's language? I feel like I had the best interactions when doing this. It's almost like women already have some sort of respect that you took the time to learn part of their language, and it's also a convo starter

That is up for interpretation but there are a few arguments which make sense to me that boil down to "the juice aint worth the squeeze". This isn't necessarily the probability of achieving a fruitful relationships/family, or for winning at capitalism, or for anything in particular but is a testament to how the bottom rungs of your prime-working age men are feeling. They feel it isn't worth it. I personally feel a big push is the lack of motivation that a family / someone ELSE provided. I think p…

A deterioration in society and innovation and general well-being of your average person. When you have prime-working age check out the entire society crumbles. Japan is an outlook into our 20 year future

Look into "Men Without Work" by Nicholas Eberstadt. Since the 1960s there has been a steady decline in prime age men working. Why do you think prime-age men (20s/30s) have been checking out of the labor market at a near linear rate since the 1960s? Why are women not checking out at the same rate & if economy was the reason why has it been nearly linear rate since the 60s even in times of recession/booms? What do young men do when they check out of the labor market? They report having more screen…

build a future with you Full stop. That's not what's validating. Many want you to give them your future after it was built and it is worthy. Men just want to feel wanted for them hence why casual s** is pedestalized (although it's almost only physical which has been proven).
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/23 12:34 AM

you're bored by your own BF haha. So you see the texts and just reply slow since you don't feel like it? With chicks like you I always text even slower and all of a sudden when it's not on their term they get angsty.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/23 12:33 AM

yeah well 5'10" is tall, on average. It might be the average for white guys but not other races. Could a more built guy equal a lanky 5'10" ?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/23 10:59 PM

When I rented I stayed away from the tall apartment buildings since they were usually in busier areas (i was born in the country) and opted for a cozy neighborhood apartment style
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/23 10:58 PM

I think adult team sports is the healthiest way to do this. Even in unwalkable cities team sports are a great outlet for socialization, exercise, and good teamwork qualities. I'm not sure how easy it is to rework cities. The US has so much land at it's disposal that it was natural to spread out since people preferred having more space to do their thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/23 10:56 PM

not married ... great no children .... nice any race .... awesome any height ... wow not obese .... shit that's hot any income .... You're literally perfect
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/23 10:53 PM

Are those apartments with rooftop pools overrated? I was gonna do one of those if I'm back in a hot city again like Dallas
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/23 10:37 PM

Which one limited options? I think these sites have poor statistics calculations at least for the obesity/overweight category and how they do the math of how variables are overlapping.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/23 10:35 PM

Gotcha, yeah the statistics aren't very transparent. It just links a very generic statistics site. I'm sure compounding variables is one thing skewing results
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/23 10:32 PM

I wish they made the stats more transparent but a quick google search shows 56% of adults age 18-25 are OVERWEIGHT or OBESE. I wish there was a quick search result which showed just Obese. But I can't find many studies that break it down as just 18-25 most lump it as 20+
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/23 10:31 PM

80:20 😱 The income one really cuts off a lot, did you have any parameter for that?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/23 10:21 PM

Yeah this as 41% is way lower than my expectation. I mean I guess in the south they marry younger and some single moms at this age, but to this degree I'm surprised
