I have a question! When we finally gain sentience and make our flounce post, should we lean more toward passive-aggressive, or full-out aggression for the best reaction? Also, would admitting our dislike of sparkling water be the tipping point for a ban? Asking for a friend.

Grilled zucchini is the best! I love doing a mix of grilled zucchini & crooked-neck yellow squash. <3

Unfortunately, it's still hot here, but in the winter we do get rather chilly, so hopefully that will open up options. I'll have to ask if he's allowed a cooler - that might just work. Thank you! :)

No, unfortunately. Just a little company car/van. It's a delivery-type thing, only he gets his deliveries every morning instead of 'round the clock.

Your #1 is exactly what I was thinking, though yours is less crudely put. :P

Hm, does anyone have any tips for a "lunch" that will last in a vehicle all day? My husband's on the road from 6a-5p, usually won't stop to eat, but I wonder if he'd like some snacks every day to nibble while he's out and about. I do get up almost every morning to give him a goodbye kiss & make sure his clothes are dried or drying, though. :) ETA: Thank you all so much for the ideas! :) :)

Welcome to the sub! Just to let you know, there are a bunch of little links under every comment permalink embed save report give gold reply Clicking on reply allows you to reply to a specific comment. Using the big box up there allows you to comment on the topic itself. :) Also, under the reply box in the bottom right is a link called formatting help, which will tell you how to quote (what I did above), italicize, and bold your stuff, among other things. :) Enjoy!

Good: Finally got the OK to start a weight-loss regime! Without going into a ton of detail, my doctor was afraid my medication/family medical history combination could lead to some serious complications if I did anything strenuous, so I've gained a ton of weight (100lbs. Yes, really. It sucks). Grabbed Map My Walk & Lose It this week, a bunch of low-cal snacks (including this awesome ice cream that tastes like fudgsicles!) & I'm ready to go. Bad: I somehow ended up with hives on my face Saturday…

My husband said it first. ...In his sleep, after a few beers, while he was half-smothering me. I was trying to get up so I could use the bathroom, but he grabbed me into a hug and said, "Don't go. Love you." I teased him about it that morning. A few weeks later, we found out I was pregnant, and he called me up and said, "We can do this. I love you. I really do." Ladies & gentlelurkers, I cried. Now, his sleep conversations are about fast food products. :P

I'm one of the no pain meds ladies. Would try it again. Pain is temporary and in terms of labour it's pain that I knew was normal. I knew I was safe. I was handling the pain okay but I didn't want to test out a needle in my back and risk a spinal headache or worse complication. Same. My family has a history of serious complications, so I didn't want anything at all unless I was going to have a c-section.

"Once you say yes, you can't take it back." (said in the context of cheating, but I've applied it to quite a few things in my life) Either that, or "Please, don't be like your mother." (Backstory on the second: Growing up, I was my mother's showpony, basically existing only to make her look good and to parrot everything she said. When I met my husband, who is exactly like my dad in more ways than one, my mom gave me advice on how to 'tame' him. On my wedding day, my dad gave me a hug and told me…
