What kind of martial arts? There's a huge spectrum. My image of most traditional martial artists is a middle-aged guy with a gut wearing pajamas. Nothing alpha about that.

I struggled with this a lot for a while. Here's what worked for me: 1 - rub one out about 2-3 hours before go-time. 2 - have some alcohol. 2-3 bourbon & waters are my go-to. 1+2 are generally enough for me, but it can leave you a little less 'rigid' than normal. If that's the case, or if worrying about it is going to cause problems, then 3 - take a ciallis. I'd say to stick with Cialis over Viagra. OP, I'm going to tag onto this to say that you need feedback when starting deadlifts and squats. An objective and experienced 2nd person can give you a good start to injury free lifting. Plan a few days away in the middle with just the two of you. That'll break it up and you both win. My in laws live in FL, so the wife and I will sneak away to the beach for a few days while we're there. That keeps her happy and me from murdering people in their sleep.
