| 3 | Is the virgin shaming of men more to do with a man actually being a virgin or is it more to do with a man fitting stereotypically "nerdy" stereotypes? It’s reactionary to slut shaming and done in an attempt to continue the normalization of hookup culture that’s already pretty ingrained in society. Nothing wrong with that, but in order for this new system to work, more and more people need to conform to it to continue normalizing it, and this is done vis shaming men for failing in partaking in this culture, whether voluntarily or involuntarily. | /r/MensRights | 31/12/25 01:58 AM |
| 19 | How do I explain to my father why I can't date and get a girlfriend? They’ll never understand lol. They don’t understand it’s not the same. My dad’s like that and given up making him understand. But my dad’s also an immigrant and he married my mom in his country of origin before they both moved here and had me. So like not only is there a generation gap, there’s a gap of cultural differences. Basically, just stop trying to explain to him and just nod along and say you’re trying your best. | /r/MensRights | 31/12/25 01:53 AM |
| 14 | Most muslim countries treat men and boys just as badly — often even worse — than women and girls. Here is a very good video about afghanistan. It’s cuz they see one guy with 4 wives and think it’s misogynistic. What they don’t get it, the religion started with wars. They had to come up with one man 4 wives cuz so many young men were dying in wars, and being told that it’s glory to die for god. Still occurs in extremist organizations today. Truly trying to paint it as a benefit to men is wild when most men have to be sacrificed for the system to work as intended, and even then it isn’t a good system. | /r/MensRights | 13/12/25 08:23 PM |
