Why...why does it matter if the parking spaces are larger, exactly? Surely that's actually a bad thing, as it means there are fewer female only parking spaces available?

...but when people talk about the pay gap, the fact that women are prevented from recieving as good an education, are blocked from higher paying positions, and are expected to stop working for decades to care for kids/husbands thereby making it impossible to find employment afterwards is what they are talking about. This is why most initiatives to combat the gap are about encouraging women to get education in fields that do pay more.

I don't see how that conclusion about op's intention can be reach either from the post or the linked article. That aside, I still dont think that's accurate. People cheer when attractive men take their shirts off. Women going to watch men's water polo has become a cliche, for example. Moreover, its much more accepted for men to take their shirts off, walk past construction workers or landscapers in the summer. People are generally indifferent towards bare chest men.

Doesn't this sentiment directly contradict the historical facts of our country? Things like women being imprisoned for wearing swimsuits that were too revealing, or the fact that we have an entire decade about the "flappers" where people lamented the loose moral character of women because they showed their... ankles? I think its much more acceptable for a man to show his naked body than a women. Oh, and I just clicked on the article you linked, which says the women is receiving death threats. Is…

All of those characters have existed for decades in the comics. I think the problem is your insecurity.

This argument isnt about "all soliders being equally valuable" it is about you arguing that soldiers who happen to be female are somehow inferior or unfit to serve in a combat capacity, or at the very most generous interpretation dont deserve the same respect as a male soldier. This kind of thinking hurts MRA because we believe that women should be fighting alongside us

No one is disrespecting men. We can value all soldiers regardless of gender. We aren't Hilliary. But I feel compelled to point out you have gone on this non-sequitor in order to distract from your sexism, and I'm not going to allow that.

I once again feel compelled to point out the casual sexism in this comment which has no place in MRA

I feel compelled to point out that there are many women who choose service, which is only a possiblity because feminists fought for that right. While we are staring down an actual war this is extremely disrespectful to those soldiers.

I agree that father figures are frequently portrayed as stupid, but there are plenty of examples of competent, admirable father figures in both recent and non-contemporary media!

While I think that progress needs to be made in several areas concerning the rights of men, tbh I have often felt some toxic energy from this subreddit. If you are trying specifically to find people to debate, you could try MensLib

Its a bit more than he just wants to know. Supposedly he demanded to know immediately before the child was born via one particular test. That's important context. In addition, the mother consented to a paternity test, just not in utero. It does sound like he's TA, unless shes straight up lying.

I dont think that would work because he wasnt elected as a female leader

The puritans made up a considerable amount of the Christian population of early america and their influence can be felt today. On a more general level, an aspect of Christianity is that God gives trials while Satan gives pleasures. Theres this undercurrent of Christianity where if you like something its probably sinful

Both conservatives and Christianity have a huge anti-drug history, and in my experience it persists to this day. Something to consider is what people consider dangerous or addictive is subjective. For example, many liberals think marijuana is safe and not addictive while conservatives and Christians tend to feel otherwise

My guy, if that tweet exists its not in the article. You can't make a claim, and then say, "I have this tweet that totally supports this claim but I'm not going to show it to you and you're going to have to believe I remember it perfectly and havent misinterpretted it because its not like that exact scenario isnt what started this discussion and if you dont take it into consideration you're 'jumping to conclusions' You cant blame me for actually reading the article and basing my comment on it. "I've reiterated many times that same sex couples and single parents can successfully raise a child. But I believe paternal AND maternal love are like vitamins and minerals to humanity. "I've reiterated many times that same sex couples and single parents can successfully raise a child. But I believe paternal AND maternal love are like vitamins and minerals to humanity. No matter where you get that paternal and maternal love. MY purpose is to give paternal love" This is the tweet in question. Needing a parental figure is part of the point, but the poster I replied to deliberately left out over half of the tweet in his interpretation, specifically so that he could misinterpret cr…

He does say that, but thats not all he says. If you read his tweet you would know that people in this post are twisting his words.

No, the poster needs to read the article. Its not about men or fatherhood, the post was about same sex couples, as in two mother or two fathers can raise a child, but the kid would need to find the other parental gender figure outside of the family unit. Its a gross missrepresentation

I'm pro MRM, and its because of that I need to say posts like this give the MRM a bad reputation. This is not a good, or honest analysis and I'm surprised how many people claim that it is. TL,DR- This is statement of opinion, not an argument, and certainly not an analysis. The conclusion only serves to succinctly illustrate that this is not an argument, or an analysis, it is an assertion made without any support and via tenuous implication. "This doll would be criticized as a stereotype of w…

This is actually a really good question, is the market set how people want, does it set what people want, or does it reflect what the CEOs of the industry believe people want? Personality, I'm inclinded to be believe there was a weaker correlation to be begin with which has been locked in and emphasised by the industry to make more money off it

Guy, tbh this kind of thinking is what's wrong with the world. Not because youre a MrA, or even because of what your hypothesis is (although it is pretty shocking). Its fine for you to feel a way, its even fine for you to share the way you feel. It is not fine for you to extend that feeling into a generalization about literally 50% of the world's population, mascarading it as a fact. It is even more heinous to take specific examples, of which maybe 6 individuals participated, and claim it "prove…

Tbf, "controls the money" is a calculated way to say "my wife does the shopping." Its not like you cant buy your own razor (or not buy a brand if you like) and im sure the "female" would appreciate someone else picking up the groceries
