i will say this. look to the non coastal states with high segregation in communities. this happened to my family. they were told that if they refused to work the first time is they will go to the hole. the next time it will be they lose goodtime and the third time they will be put in a different prison. higher level then their classification. yes you can give him custody and have open visitation. per the custody agreement. it will cost about 500$ and go in front of a magistrate to sign off on it. you can be around her every day or any time you want. unlike women men rarely withhold visitation from women it is the women that use children as tools. you have a working relationship so stick with it working. you can later alter the agreement to full joint custody. this is quite easy if you both agree.

the moment you ask for any type of assistance he will be taken to court and dragged across to coals. your best bet is to give him custody and you get your life together. you are looking at this from the point of you don't want to give him custody so i sense something else at play here. like they say do whats best for the child and not what you want. you can not provide for the child without state help.
