Yup, the only reason why your man should be allowed to "check out" another woman is because he knows you love fashion and he is thinking the clothes she happens to be wearing would look amazing on you.

It's likely he has his own room but still tries to join his parents in their bed most nights and the mom lets him. IMO, regardless of the sex issue, it is not really something that she should encourage unless the kid had a nightmare or something.

Yup, the very existence of the "Body Issue" in the ESPN magazine is gag worthy. Nothing empowering in that BS. It's just insane that even pro athletes are accepting to degrade themselves that way.

I did not even have to start to watch the video to know he was a fuckboy. It's right here on his face, plain as day.

I can't really speak for other men (because I actually have never dated anyone else) but my husband definitely loves how intelligent/accomplished I am and he couldn't be more supportive. It's definitely one of his top motivations for choosing to marry me. That said, I'd say the relationship works so well mostly because we individually bring to the table vastly different types of knowledge. I can't just put all of that dynamic on him because I myself am extremely competitive and would not like to…

I agree. One of FDS' principles is that a man should not marry unless he is deeply in love and willing to do everything for his woman. Maybe he likes his own company and has not yet met a woman he felt that way about.

I just meant that she will more likely than not stay "very new" to this subreddit, because it looks like she is only looking for a quick fix to a specific relationship issue.

She also posted in r/dating_advice. She is not looking for FDS type advice, just advice in general, so she likely went for the first dating subreddits she could find without trying to understand the specifics.

It makes me think of that one time Whisper users tried to collectively gaslight me that I was irrational for not wanting my man to go to strip clubs... It actually happened maybe 1-2 years ago but it was such a memorable surreal thread it just popped back into my mind today (probably due to quarantine boredom). Anyway, I was browsing the popular page when I saw a post about men going to strip clubs while in a relationship. I can't really remember whether the OP itself was in favor of it but what…

Nice article. Though these are quite a lot of words to explain that a man who is genuinely into you will naturally be incredibly curious and ask many questions, because they want to know everything there is to know about you. In the end, that's really what it all comes down to.

Not that simple. I am a gymnast (it's been part of my routine since I was 2-3 to curb my hyperactivity) and my husband is very rigorous about weight training. Though it is better than nothing, these are the kind of specific workouts (with apparatuses) that cannot even be compared to doing a few squats at home. Athletes (not just "gym bros") in general are truly suffering right now because training centers are mass closing. I am on speaking terms with some of the girls in my country's elite/natio…

Definitely not. I think there is something many women here do not understand. There is nothing high value about constantly being on the hunt for a romantic partner, be it when men or when women do it. Actually high value people will only look for a relationship sporadically, when they feel it is the right time (and the middle of a serious pandemic definitely is not), or, even better, they will be content with their single status and let love come to them naturally, through a chance meeting with …

Yeah, many of them see it as some sort of ego gratifying game to be able to "pull" an older woman. They mostly do it to validate their own maturity and skills in bed. Of course there are exceptions, but from what I have seen, the vast majority of men definitely prefer to commit to women their age or slightly younger.

In my personal experience, there has been a sense of awe in younger men that I have never ever experienced with men my age or older. Awe, adoration, and respect. Also, in my experience, the younger men consistently catered to me and made efforts to impress me... I get your point, I really do, but aren't these the very things we criticize in younger women/older men dynamics? I mean, the consensus is that it is not okay (if not predatory) when men seek younger women in order to have someone more p…

Yeah, that is one fault of FDS. Because a lot of it revolves around calling LVM out and does not really put enough of an emphasis on being someone a HVM would want to be around, it does attract some of the worst women: men haters who are coincidentally too weak to live without their attention, and entitled princesses who offer nothing special then throw a tantrum when they only attract the men who are actually in their league (aka the low value ones). I'd say those types represent pretty much ha…

That's an important point. Why are there so many posts on here that came from some woman's public social media account? I recall seeing here recently a repost of some pickmeisha who bragged about how she treated her man right because if he was tired, she'd rub his shoulders and give him a BJ and if he was horny she'd "ride him tirelessly". Never accept from a stranger a drink that you have not seen being prepared with your own eyes. Moms should be drilling this into their daughters' heads since, like, age 5, yet when I got to college and went to a few parties with some new friends, I often had to intervene. It earned me a reputation of killjoy, even from a few of the very women I was trying to protect. I don't understand this world...

Thanks to all people who downvoted me for proving my point about bullying and also supporting scrotes' point that the only reason why a woman would be in this sub is because she is struggling with men, that she has been hurt by men and that she can't be happy in a relationship. I think it was only a few days ago that there was a post here complaining about that assumption. It was full of replies from women in happy relationships trying to prove them wrong (they should not even have bothered IMO)…

IMO the reason why we see so many posts like that is due to how popular this sub is getting. Some new women here are losing track of the ideology behind it. No, it's not about man hating nor is it about making a man you like notice you (and don't even get me started on those asking for FWB advice). It's about learning how to respect yourself and never letting anyone make you forget it. I think this is the right moment to link r/FemaleLevelUpStrategy. Because I think this is what many women here …

No, only "together" for 9. My therory, assuming she is American, is she probably met him in high school while she was a senior (aka 17) and he was on the football team or something (which would explain him being in good shape at the time). Then, because he was not good enough for college scholarships, his level of activity slowly decreased during the following few years and she married him not long after college graduation, like most high school sweethearts. They probably have been married for a…

Women vary in how much importance they put on physique but I can't imagine being so completely hung up on the human being as physical specimen. Yet the woman in that post I linked was specifically attracted to her husband for his muscles and keeps citing purely genetic physical characteristics as the things she "still" finds attractive about him. I did not see her speak much about personality. So yeah, she IS hung up on that stuff. if your situation is really so perfect it's hard to understand y…

I really can't believe this even has to be said. I am not sure if they are just not understanding how serious the situation is or if they are just incapable of living without male attention for a few weeks. Both reasons are equally bad.

Yup, spot on. I know no one who would accept such behavior from a friend, so why do they excuse it when it comes from the person they are supposed to have the most affinities with? This is why I am also against relationships where the two parties do not share the same core values (religion, cleanliness, etc) because it always breeds resentment, yet couples like that are the majority. Seriously, people act like I am an alien when I tell them that in 12 years, my husband and I have never even snap…

And just this morning I was thinking that the confinement due to Covid-19, while a good thing, meant more isolation for domestic abuse victims and way less occasions to get help. I would not be surprised if it was not a coincidence that he chose to physically harm her for the first time during that time of crisis where no one will think to help her. I mean, what good Samaritan would even be able to notice her black eye and try to intervene if she never gets out these days?

IMO, us not only still being together but also acting like we are still in the honeymoon phase after all this time means it already did work out (and prove it was indeed different). At this point, I don't think there is any more of a "maybe" for us than there would be for any other very stable married couple. I mean, try to see it from my POV. Wouldn't it feel a bit insulting, as a grown woman, to have someone imply your 12 year relationship is still in its test period? Sure, meeting my life par…

(Sigh, here we go again) Look, I am first going to clarify something because my husband deserves it. When I said that he went 3 years without sex at one point, I didn't mean that we knew in advance when it would be okay to go. In reality, the future was very uncertain for quite a while. We did not know if it would take 3 or 5 or 10 years. We did not even know for sure if it'd ever be possible for us to have a sex life (or what its "quality" would be) but to him, it only mattered if I had an issu…

During the course of our relationship, my husband went 3 years without sex at some point (because I was genuinely unable to engage in it). Many people see him as some sort of warrior because he was able to stay faithful during that time (especially because my hunk was getting propositioned quite a lot) but he thinks that is absolute BS.

I was about to comment this. The other side of the "don't commit too early" coin is that a man who has known you for a while before admitting to seeing you in a romantic light but does not want to commit early on is playing you. My husband and I were very close friends for 6 months before we went on our first date. He pretty much confessed his love for me (without using the L word) as a way to ask me out and we officially became a couple on that first day. In that context, it did not feel too fa…

Yeah, half the comments are: "Women do not need a strategy. Because they have a hole, any decent looking woman will be drowning in male attention." Anyone with even basic reading comprehension would understand that FDS is not about ATTRACTING men but about which ones should be given the time of the day. They are so wrapped in their own bubble that they can't even concive that our idea of a dating strategy is different from theirs (who is based on negging, low effort, gaslighting, lying, etc...).…

This is exactly how it is tho. If you have casual sex, or sex with a porn sick man, he only cares about HIS PLEASURE. He doesn’t give a fuck if you’re in pain or you feel degraded. All he cares about is getting himself off. Ladies do not give yourself away like this. You are all worth so much more. See, this is where I feel modern parents are failing their daughters these days. I'll be very blunt, this might depend on her build and level of activity. I'd say most Western women can look good at 5'1 & 128 lbs but East Asians are typically small framed and not very toned, which is why they typically weigh less (even without all the crazy standards) and have a different BMI scale. I won't lie, I am a quite frail 4'11 and I just know that a sedentary 120 lbs (where I'd have very minimal muscle mass) would not really be a good look on me and I would not feel good. If OP's bu…

By Korean standards, that is definitely seen as "fat". For her height, they would consider her ideal weight to be around 100lbs (if not less). There is a general expectation for women in that culture to be under 48kg (105.8 lbs). East Asian standards are kinda extreme.

Yeah. The average age of first marriage in my area is 30+ for both men and women. That said, I got married 7 weeks before I turned 23 and everyone agreed I was indeed ready to get married by that point. I think age cutoffs are more relevant when dealing with family planning. IMO, anyone living in a first world country has no business having children in their teens or early twenties, yet so many do it.

shelling out tens or hundreds of thousands for a wedding is crazy to me Here is the pick me type speech A wedding is an important once in a lifetime event. You can call it consumerism if you want but people wanting to splurge to have their ideal dream day is perfectly reasonable.

So in other words, u/MyHusbandsGoddess is saying her brain fully developed before the age of 25. I actually did not. She’s basically saying some girls at 13 are mature enough to handle being with grown men. Depends what you mean by "being with grown men". The actual ways I was involved with him were not harmful but the way most of such age gap relationships happen are bad news in 99.99% of cases. And I am the first one to admit I was not mature at all at 13. Even compared to my peers, I was a co…

As someone who grew up in France's equivalent of Beverly Hills, this is definitely not what I have noticed. Wearing low key jeans and T-shirts or vintage clothing is one thing (and I have never seen anyone get made fun of for dressing that way). Wrinkled, unwashed, ratty, patched is another.

Definitely not. My husband and I are both in the 1% and even after 12 years together, we are still that couple who completely grosses everyone out with PDA. But that is not a coincidence. The same elitist upbringing and mentality that resulted in us being rich is one of the very things that brought us together.

He knew his wife for a long, long time and he kept by her side for 10 years until she finally got over all the shitty boyfriends she had and decided to be with him. Do you feel like she is genuinely in love with him or do you feel like she settled for him only because she was scared of being alone in a way? Because I have always had a hard time believing that you can naturally develop a real attraction to someone when you have known them completely platonically for more than a year.
