Most of it seems reasonable, the only part I really disagree with is comparing the challenges of operating on a child and a fat person. They are both challenging, but for very different reasons.

due to several of my other mental conditions i cant do that and right now due to my severe depression i cant meet people. You keep saying you can't, but you can. Just choose some small achievable goals and go do them. Call the Samaritans. If they don't exist in your country either call internationally or find something similar where you live, it doesn't matter who you call as long as they want to help.

Depends what type of FGM, it can take many forms. A vagina can function perfectly well with a ceremonial nick of the clitoris for example, while more extreme forms are obviously barbaric. The point is without any medical reason for it, it is the mutilation of a baby. Pretty simple in my eyes.

I would say my knowledge comes from listening to debates over bible passages. The metaphors and symbology are meaningless if two people can read the same things and get opposite messages. That coupled with mistranslations (there are many), flat out contradictions (maybe a symptom of translations, but unlikely), irregularities ect. It is essentially a book you can read and take from it what you like, neither useful, informative or relevant.

For Williams personally it might not be a factor, but for men in general it is, I don't think linking his suicide to the idea of the disposable male is warranted though. If people don't know him then any guesses they have are just restating other peoples guesses, the person who knew the reason is unfortunately dead.

The implication is that by leaving the data out that the data you ignore is counter to your point (even if it isn't the case). Things that obviously affect income like being married (a chance that you will stay at home) or having children (women need time off for this), are already included, age shouldn't be a factor.

Yes, my point is be concerned if you are going to be concerned, but a particular age range isn't going to be much different from another. I still think going around worrying about being raped is similar to worrying about being shot, there isn't much you can do about it other than try to deescalate when the situation arises.

Maybe, but consider that a boy under 13 is unlikely to rape, so its more like 20%~ (a guess I suppose) of rapists are 13-24.

I like to think movements like feminism should be judged on their actions. So when feminism has succeeded in preventing these problems from being solved, then yes it is feminism that has done it, not a fringe group of radicals.

I just don't think you can call it censorship. They also don't deserve to be hated either, they aren't doing any real harm. If anything they just need to be educated. Historically it was entire governments that "burned books" to stop an idea they were against from spreading. Of course complete censorship isn't really possible, but it is possible to insulate a population from ideas enough that there is no movement against a real problem, that is where the hatred should begin. Not some random pers…

I really don't think you can equate burning this book (that she probably bought) to censorship. Maybe some symbolic form of censorship, but there is no way that in this day and age she can gather every single copy and erase it from existence, which was what the older book burnings were all about. The ideas expressed in that book are still there.

I try to think of myself as egalitarian, but I see things from a male perspective (I like to think through no fault of my own). Any tips on seeing which issues are overblown vs issues that are legitimate and worth effort fixing? There are obvious wrongs such as "Rape is bad", but the more subtle complaints like "people are checking me out" that I don't really get. Thanks for any reply.
