4 Ways Fat Feminists Need to Be Included in Reproductive Justice - author of 'Ok2BeFat' for 'Everyday Feminism'Most of it seems reasonable, the only part I really disagree with is comparing the challenges of operating on a child and a fat person. They are both challenging, but for very different reasons. | /r/MensRights | 02/08/16 06:57 AM
"like a man"due to several of my other mental conditions i cant do that and right now due to my severe depression i cant meet people. You keep saying you can't, but you can. Just choose some small achievable goals and go do them. Call the Samaritans. If they don't exist in your country either call internationally or find something similar where you live, it doesn't matter who you call as long as they want to help. | /r/MensRights | 17/06/16 01:14 PM
Just got banned from /r/relationships for saying a man deserves to know about his child before the woman straight up aborted it./r/science is mostly just skimming abstracts for something to report on. Same as most reporting on science. | /r/MensRights | 14/06/16 11:27 PM
Woman punches (8 times), slaps (11 times), and kicks (2 times) man over 55 seconds. Man finally punches back (5 times) over 6 seconds. Title of story: "Shocking video shows man punching girlfriend to the floor."Being angry isn't an excuse. | /r/MensRights | 11/06/16 08:54 PM
Woman punches (8 times), slaps (11 times), and kicks (2 times) man over 55 seconds. Man finally punches back (5 times) over 6 seconds. Title of story: "Shocking video shows man punching girlfriend to the floor."They are both attackers, admonish them both. | /r/MensRights | 11/06/16 12:03 AM
Cosmopolitan publishes a new hate article against men, making up 21 "reasons" to paint all men as brainless idiotsIt's click-bait bullshit, hardly worth even noting. | /r/MensRights | 09/06/16 10:36 PM
Feminists show their true colours on Reddit when it comes to male genital mutilation. Now apparently pointing out MGM is 'sexism against women' and 'not comparable'Depends what type of FGM, it can take many forms. A vagina can function perfectly well with a ceremonial nick of the clitoris for example, while more extreme forms are obviously barbaric. The point is without any medical reason for it, it is the mutilation of a baby. Pretty simple in my eyes. | /r/MensRights | 25/11/15 06:24 PM
I think feminism inadvertently promotes anti-feminismI haven't found that line of thought needs innovation. | /r/MensRights | 11/09/14 09:26 AM
I think feminism inadvertently promotes anti-feminismI would say my knowledge comes from listening to debates over bible passages. The metaphors and symbology are meaningless if two people can read the same things and get opposite messages. That coupled with mistranslations (there are many), flat out contradictions (maybe a symptom of translations, but unlikely), irregularities ect. It is essentially a book you can read and take from it what you like, neither useful, informative or relevant. | /r/MensRights | 11/09/14 01:10 AM
Men and women are harassed online in virtually the same numbersFor Williams personally it might not be a factor, but for men in general it is, I don't think linking his suicide to the idea of the disposable male is warranted though. If people don't know him then any guesses they have are just restating other peoples guesses, the person who knew the reason is unfortunately dead. | /r/MensRights | 15/08/14 02:06 PM
Ellen Fishbein | Propaganda Detector: The Wage GapRead my posts and call me a Feminist, really... Even if I was Feminist, which I will deny, how does that affect my point in any way? | /r/MensRights | 14/08/14 05:31 PM
Ellen Fishbein | Propaganda Detector: The Wage GapThe implication is that by leaving the data out that the data you ignore is counter to your point (even if it isn't the case). Things that obviously affect income like being married (a chance that you will stay at home) or having children (women need time off for this), are already included, age shouldn't be a factor. | /r/MensRights | 14/08/14 03:49 PM
Boys in UK to be taught to be feminists in compulsory school lessons under Labour plans.Yes, my point is be concerned if you are going to be concerned, but a particular age range isn't going to be much different from another. I still think going around worrying about being raped is similar to worrying about being shot, there isn't much you can do about it other than try to deescalate when the situation arises. | /r/MensRights | 08/07/14 11:12 AM
Boys in UK to be taught to be feminists in compulsory school lessons under Labour plans.I'm not sure they source their claims often enough for that to work. | /r/MensRights | 08/07/14 11:10 AM
Boys in UK to be taught to be feminists in compulsory school lessons under Labour plans.Maybe, but consider that a boy under 13 is unlikely to rape, so its more like 20%~ (a guess I suppose) of rapists are 13-24. | /r/MensRights | 07/07/14 04:33 PM
Boys in UK to be taught to be feminists in compulsory school lessons under Labour plans. The point is The Daily Mail is unreliable as a source itself, if there are other sources then great, use those instead. | /r/MensRights | 07/07/14 04:32 PM
Hopefully this will be the last comment I need to write in order to defend the MRM as I see it.I like to think movements like feminism should be judged on their actions. So when feminism has succeeded in preventing these problems from being solved, then yes it is feminism that has done it, not a fringe group of radicals. | /r/MensRights | 03/07/14 12:47 PM
(/r/rage) Tumblr feminists burning a book that they disagree with, cause ya know, the patriarchy.I just don't think you can call it censorship. They also don't deserve to be hated either, they aren't doing any real harm. If anything they just need to be educated. Historically it was entire governments that "burned books" to stop an idea they were against from spreading. Of course complete censorship isn't really possible, but it is possible to insulate a population from ideas enough that there is no movement against a real problem, that is where the hatred should begin. Not some random pers… | /r/MensRights | 17/06/14 04:49 AM
(/r/rage) Tumblr feminists burning a book that they disagree with, cause ya know, the patriarchy.I really don't think you can equate burning this book (that she probably bought) to censorship. Maybe some symbolic form of censorship, but there is no way that in this day and age she can gather every single copy and erase it from existence, which was what the older book burnings were all about. The ideas expressed in that book are still there. | /r/MensRights | 17/06/14 04:19 AM
And He Learned – Influences on men growing upReally? This article is on the level of "Video games cause school shootings". It assumes that people can not tell the difference between movies and real life "showed him stories with heroes who used fists and weapons to beat the bad guy". "And he learned that deriding women as a whole was acceptable and manly." I really would like to see how far that flies in a non circle jerk setting. "And he learned that “no” was sexy." "And he learned that attire could mean consent." That is a pretty large le… | /r/MensRights | 12/06/14 09:53 AM
As a woman, I came here expecting a load of bull, as the media portrays it..I try to think of myself as egalitarian, but I see things from a male perspective (I like to think through no fault of my own). Any tips on seeing which issues are overblown vs issues that are legitimate and worth effort fixing? There are obvious wrongs such as "Rape is bad", but the more subtle complaints like "people are checking me out" that I don't really get. Thanks for any reply. | /r/MensRights | 12/06/14 01:43 AM
