As a side note, I made 3.5 times what my then wife made. But her income was high enough to comfortably support herself. It was a 10 year marriage with a kid. Her lawyer promised her alimony and child support. They filed for an immediate claim of child support for $434 a month. Judge denied it. She filed for alimony, and joint 50/50 custody. I filed for primary custody with her getting just every other weekend waiving any child support claims on my side (only would have been $90/month anyway). I …

Dumb broad really believes she will get alimony? No way will a judge award that as she makes enough to easily support herself. My ex-wife was told the same thing by her lawyer. The judge said, nope you can support yourself. It isn't as if this lady was a stay at home mom.
