Lad culture here isn’t great honestly, I know myself and a lot of other women avoid men who partake in it just because it does have dangerous toxically masculine undertones. Plus I mean who really wants to date a football hooligan who lives at the pub aha

Anglo-centric men definitely still grow up in an environment where they’re supposed to be JUST macho and that’s definitely the problem. Bromance still exists, the men I work with are very jokingly flirtatious with each other (lots of ass slapping etc) which is definitely the norm here. But when it comes to opening up to women in a heteronormativity sense, there’s still a stereotype of women being the whiny ones and men being the providers. Granted, it’s changing, but from my own personal experie…

I’m not going to deny that, I think heteronormative men are more intimate with each other. There’s still a large stereotype that a man and a woman can’t be friends without sex being involved which I think is incorrect. As I mentioned before, I have a lot of close male friends and my best mate who is much older than me will happily divulge a lot of information he’s not actually comfortable telling his close male friends out of fear of judgement. Because the idea of male femininity is still linked…

I’m gonna be honest, as someone who spends a lot of time on Reddit, I don’t think everyone on here has their heads screwed on right aha. The extremes, and often the normalisation of those extremes, really does fester on this place. I think that men have been TAUGHT to be this way, not that they actually naturally need to behave that way. Therapy comes in many different shapes and sizes and a lot of therapy isn’t actually about guidance, it’s about being comfortable with your own patterns and tra…

I think there can easily be a healthy balance. As much as sexual tension is important in a relationship, you’re not constantly in a state of desire for your partner so there’s times where a guy could open up to a woman and receive support for more personal problems. I think in either case nobody wants to be made into their partners therapist or have to play a parental figure to them, that’s incredibly unhealthy; but there are ways to be emotionally vulnerable to a person without it becoming over…

‘I’m not like other girls’ is internalised misogyny based on the idea that women have to be good enough for men to like them. It’s a defence mechanism gained usually through teenage years to combat the feeling on not fitting in with your peers, which is a totally normal feeling. It just manifest in the idea that we should weaponise it to make ourselves feel better and therefore more desirable to men. It’s unhealthy and now a common topic discussed among women who want to improve themselves and w…

Personally speaking as a woman, I find it very endearing when anyone no matter what they identify as wants to open up to me. The social pressures that still exist regarding men not talking about their emotions sucks, but I know a lot of women including myself who find it really brave for a guy to open up. I’ve found it harder to emotionally connect with someone who shuts off from me when it comes to their life and past and their emotions. Of course it takes time but I feel there is always a poin…

Pump and dump is in general a lame term but I mean it does happen. I think the only acceptable time is when it’s a mutually agreed upon casual sexual experience where we’re clear that nobody is being coerced into sex because they think they’re both on the same romantic page. Of course you can have sex and afterwards decide you don’t want a relationship, but you should just say that like an adult. That way we get rid of the entire dumping situation after the sex. Considering this is aimed at woma…

I think sex needs to be taught in a way more positive and informative way. Teens need to know how to have safe sex but also that sex is enjoyable and normal. There’s still a huge amount of shame that comes out of the education system surrounding sex just by their lack of willingness to talk about it openly or make it an important part of the curriculum. As a woman, I never even knew what a clitoris was until I was about 16/17 I think let alone that it was a very important part of female sexualit…

Bro you’re so far into inceldom it’s actually sad. I don’t have the time of day for someone who refers to women as a ‘dumb hole’ you’re a fucking misogynist who can’t get laid, get over yourself. And it’s frankly childish to bring childhood assault into this, my dad is a perfectly respectable man it’s insulting to people who’ve experienced that kind of trauma. Western women are allowed to use their brains and it’s not a crime. News flash dumbass

I’m sorry but this is actually worrying. Both women AND men can decide if they don’t want to have sex, consent is for everyone. This is borderline rapey honestly, I don’t see how someone’s religious or non religious background needs to come into this either? Most western religion put women below men, I think you’re just mad that women don’t HAVE to have sex with you, if I’m honest. It’s not about ‘getting what you want’. It’s about ‘I’ve been on a nice date with this guy but actually I don’t fee…

I work and earn a good amount for my age and therefore I’m looking for someone on a similar level as I’m not rich, I just want equal contribution in a relationship. Most women aren’t gold diggers, believe it or not, but patriarchy still puts men on top financially and therefore some women have levelled up and married rich because it makes their lives easier. Can you say if you were a woman that you wouldn’t do the same? No; because you’ll never have that experience. Honestly I couldn’t care less…

To be honest as long as I’m mildly physically attracted to a guy and we have great chemistry then that guy becomes ‘my type’. Typically the kind of guys I’m attracted to are usually between 5’8 and 6’2 cause honestly height isn’t a huge deal, overly tall guys kinda freak me out lmao. Darker features like hair is my preferred type, kinda the opposite to me really. As long as a guy is somewhat fit I don’t mind, I’ve dated slim and dad bod and typically prefer a guy with an ‘average’ build who just…

As a woman who has had this experience and who knows of women who would complain of similar things, usually we aren’t complaining about getting pumped and dumped, we’re complaining about HOW it happened. More often than not a man will insinuate they want a relationship with you just to have sex with you and then they fade or ghost you. I feel that you’re allowed to be upset and hurt when you’ve started to invest in someone who claimed they were on the same page as you, it’s a shitty and manipula…

Making eye contact with everyone you walk past is low-key some serial killer shit. I hate being stared at by strangers. Make eye contact when engaging in a conversation not like you’re plotting to find your next victim

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
