In this digital age, it's hard to find men who are not into porn. The easy access is too tempting, and the reasons to avoid it are too theoretical. The thinking being, "Who cares if they lust over women they will never meet?" There's no accountability. Religion used to keep these base instincts in check, but religion just doesn't have the influence it used to have. The effects in our society are pervasive, since overt and some subtle. But this is definitely one of them. I agree with you. They're…

If this were a marriage, I'd be thinking, wow, tough one. But it isn't. Until you're married, you're still vetting him for marriage. Does he pass your requirements? Is he the leader for you and your children? Does he value you the way you want to be valued? Is he worth the trouble it will take to overcome his faults? I don't know how old you are, but if you're finished vetting this man, you're going to need to move on quickly if you want to prepare for a new, healthier relationship. If a family …

It's the apparent bias that only a conservative or religious person will be monogamous. Monogamy has value and benefits, regardless of one's politics or religion. Edit: Thanks for asking. 🌸 I still don't want to fight. Politics is a minefield these days.

I'm one who makes it work. I appreciate there being a space here for me. ❤️ I value the open practicality and exploration of femininity here, especially the emphasis on understanding core differences between men and women. Nowhere else do I feel that women are so appreciated for our unique qualities. Women are so pressured to be all things nowadays. It's painful, and stressful. I'm thankful for a space where being a SAHM is celebrated (though I'm not that right now), and men are appreciated for …

(Conservative or religious? So tempted to pick a fight over that bias. I know those words have a shine on them for some people, but they engender much different values, from other perspectives.) However, I do agree with the premise of what you are saying. Like attracts like... Be as mature, intelligent, and interesting as you would like your partner to be. From the perspective of 20+ years of marriage, I'd like to add, make a point of learning now how to communicate well (fairly) in an argument.…

If this relationship is heading for marriage, then these behaviors you have are going to need work. It's not wrong to wait until you are calm before you address an issue, but hiding how you feel and letting a resentment grow is an immature approach. If you're saying you want to hurt him, maybe weigh that impulse against a possible future with this person... And don't. And the spiteful comments about your previous dating are not in line with an honest effort to have a good relationship with someo…

That's a regrettable stance. In general, retaliation just makes things more negative. Is that how you'd like it to be? I hope you can find some way to cool off and remember why you're with this person in the first place. People are messy and they're going to say stupid things sometimes. I don't know about you, but I'm here to find out what to do to recover from my own moments like that, and to find some grace for the times when someone lets me down. The women in this group are really good at tha…

Well, practically speaking, who is moving to a new country, and when? If it's you, what support will you have for a new baby? Does he want kids right away also? These questions need answers, IMO, before you become bonded to someone who might not actually be a good match for your plans. And if he isn't, then you have to be able to walk away, because you want a child, and if you have to start over, time is of the essence.

This makes me even more concerned for you. If he travels all this way, the expectation for intimacy is going to be so much greater. I'm also thinking about the stress you're under to vet him for whatever your relationship/marriage goals are, in a time crunch before he returns to wherever he came from. If you're still questioning whether he's interested in you, that's another indicator that this is not a good idea. Time will tell. I'm sorry for your anxiety, and I understand why you would want to…

As much as I enjoy and appreciate your response, I think I would really like your smile to go with it. I do have a decent mix of on- and offline communication... though it does get unbalanced sometimes. Thanks for your lovely reply. 💕

I think there is a real physical distinction. Being online doesn't require nearly as much from the body as being in the real world. And interactions are so much more immersive when one is present. Emotional content, visual content. Heck, all sensual input is diminished by online experiences. I do agree that online experiences can have a real psychological effect, whether positive or negative. There are times when the support of my Facebook friends is helpful and uplifting, yet there are times wh…

I'm not sure, in my humble opinion, that surrender is a fair posture here. You don't have interests in common? You're not feeling right about the balance? Self evaluating is great, and we want to be that soft landing for our guys, but there's a measure of caution worth having here. If you're not married, you're still vetting. Are you sure he's a good fit for you?

I appreciate the focus on waiting to find the relationship that actually fits what you want. OP has stated her heart's desire, and then justified acting in opposition to that heart's desire. I think you're right to say that's not healthy. Marry in haste, repent at the courthouse.

I'm a believer in strategy, but sometimes feminine instinct is right on the money. Go with your gut, imo. If not, consider whether this is behavior you would like to see repeated for the rest of your life, if you married him. Would you be comfortable with that?

Maybe you could read or even scan the RPW wiki, and that will give you a better sense of the room. https://reddit.com/r/RedPillWomen/w/index?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app This is an extremely helpful and responsive place when you are exploring feminine roles and strategies. However, it will generally resist placing that into the context of national politics. Advice for coping with your political identity as a woman is different from advice for living in this world as a feminine woman a…

I see what you mean here, and for someone in this community this seems like common sense, but I do want to give OP credit for applying specific RPW values to her relationship. Some of these behaviors are not necessarily intuitive, especially if it has not been part of your life before RPW. Role models for feminine behavior are getting fewer and farther between to find. I often feel gratitude for having this place to go to remind me the importance of femininity and the rewards of supporting mascu…

Have you thought about how to make society worth saving personally? Things like living by example. Having a life worth emulating. Examining traditional masculinity and proving it can be lived without damaging women, that real men are worthy of the name. Teaching your kids to do the same, and leaving the political boogeymen out of it?

First of all, I am not confused... I merged those on purpose for humor (🤣) and because they reveal a truth when combined that amused me, i. e. your attack on me does not prove your point just because you put me down. Although you make a point that could be valid if you backed it up with evidence, you also proved that you aren't that good at evaluating evidence. Ad hominem ergo propter hoc... 🤣 No thanks. So I think we're done here.

Or liberalism may be trying to create a world in which people who reject traditional life aren't vilified or oppressed, which is the historical norm. Being different shouldn't be unsafe.

This question made me think of this passage in Fascinating Womanhood: "How to Give Feminine Advice 1. Ask leading questions. 2. Listen. 3. Express insight—I feel, sense, perceive. 4. Don’t appear to know more than he does. 5. Don’t be motherly. 6. Don’t talk man-to-man. 7. Don’t act braver than he is. 8. Don’t have unyielding opinions. 9. Don’t insist he do things your way." Honestly, I'm grateful for this sub. I came here with all my skepticism to read and try to understand a different point of view. What I found was thoughtful, insightful, and in its own way, empowering. Not long ago I would have described myself as a feminist. Reading here made me look into the definition and true beliefs of feminism, and brought me into conflict with it. It is a humbling experience to have my ideas challenged, and I appreciate the opportunity to broaden my mind. I admire the wom…

I think this is a bit harsh and unkind. Although you might be right about the pair bond situation, your wording suggest that she has no hope. Toxic pair bonds can be broken through counseling, whether through church counseling or other types of therapy. Awareness is important, repentance is huge... it is not a hopeless situation because it looks as if OP has both of these.

I spent a long time not taking care of myself, and I can tell you that when you first start making the effort to look presentable and put together, it can take a lot of energy and it can feel like a big learning curve. However, over time, good self-care becomes a habit, and it isn't as difficult. If you want to start doing all the things, by all means do all the things. One thing I did was reach out to friends whose style I admire. We went through my closet, and found quite a lot that I could th…
