I personally have no experience with that, and women doing what you describe is normal imo, if that is what is being referred to as "being cautious of potential rapists" then it isn't as bad as I thought.

Come on man, if I gave you weird looks every time you came near me and avoided you at all costs because you are a "potential rapist" you'd feel a bit hurt, right? I know this is technically a strawman, but treating ALL men as potential rapists only makes them more upset and less likely to sympathise with women

There is a difference between not trusting someone but still treating them normally and treating someone as a potential rapist, that would really hurt any guy hearing that rhetoric
