First, you are looking in from the outside at how much effort those other guys are putting in. You don’t really know for sure. We always overestimate our own work and underestimate others. Second, what specific qualities do you see in the dudes that makes you put them in the “alpha” and “bad boy” boxes? Third, what type of girls are you going after? You might want to cast your net a little larger and try being a little more direct. Confidence and not acting desperate for attention are an attract…

I think part of the flaw in this thinking is not realizing that the type of dude that orbits a women is usually keeping tabs on more than one woman. He is an opportunist and sometimes more than a little delusional about whether that woman sees him as a romantic partner. That said, many women don’t have orbiters. I have never been asked out right after a break-up. I certainly don’t have a line of men waiting to get with me. But I also keep to myself for the most part and don’t spend a lot of time…

Lol, opportunities like that are more common than you might think. My example was what I said to my current boyfriend though it took a few times before he took me up on it (though he liked me for a while at that point). Some people are just friendly and sometimes it turns out that the…

To be fair, “women’s moves” tend to be passive versus active and harder to spot for inexperienced guys. A lot of times women will show interest by making themselves available and showing that they are open to moves. They create opportunities for the guy to make moves. For example, saying “I need someone to show me around X place, I’ve never been there before.” and creating the opportunity for the guy to say “I could show you around.” The “friendly versus romantic” determination can be hard, but …

I see what you’re getting back, but I disagree with the smile basis. I would politely smile back at a random dude who smiled at me but I wouldn’t want him to approach me. Though if she keeps looking at you after she smiles instead of looking away, then that’s a more friendly signal. So smile + continued friendly looks = more likely a good outcome to starting a conversation. One Midwestern American’s contribution. (Also this post popped up in my feed as one of those suggested ones, apologies if t…

What? Your words are a pile of confusion, weird metaphors, and unsubstantiated psychobabble.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
