Coming from a Police Officer. Your suffering pretty badly as a victim of domestic violence. It varies country to country the laws in place. Video footage is the best thing and also witnesses. The records you are taking are very helpful as well. If I got called to your place after an event and you showed me just a fraction of that evidence I would put a domestic violence protection order on her to protect you in the future. I hope you get help and get out of that toxic difficult situation.

Just so you know. When a girl threatens suicide or use pills and it has anything to do with you, that is straight up domestic violence. It is deliberate controlling behaviour to exert power over you. This is something you don't fix. It only gets worse. All my experience as a police officer tells me this. Keep away from her.

It is not that giant step. My own anecdotal evidence, was a guy I worked with who was in that small percent. Fucked girls and kicked them of his place when he was done. A new one every week. His record was matched, told to her to come over, he fucked her, then kicked her out. 1 hour 40 min from initial match then kicking her out.

I almost didn't believe it was all true until the last year where I stopped placing limits on myself and started dating again (after a few years focused on self) 32 top 0.1% of bodies out there. I have a pretty chill open girl for a housemate and we talk about all subjects. She tell's me some of her friends have had over 100 sexual partners......at age 26. Ah my favourite over used statistic. 1 in 5 women will be sexually assaulted during their college career. Which I might add, would put college campuses on par with the democratic republic of Congo where rape is used as a weapon and there is rampant sexual violence. Guardian for source.

All policing is community based. Help and interaction with the community is done on a daily basis. If nobody ever spoke up as a victim or witness the vast majority of crime would go unsolved. Enforcing laws is one, but not my only task as an officer.

Knowing your rights won't hurt you, but many people don't know them that well. In certain cases not cooperating with police in Australia is actually held against you in a court of law. In America it is different due to your constitution. When it comes to videoing an encounter, I'd advise to just be polite and explain why your videotaping and that will help. If the interaction is over something minor and you pull out your phone, I'll still be reasonable and friendly, but generally I'll do things completely by the book then, which means no discretion. For small offences it ties my hands. If your videotaping somebody else just make sure your on public property and your not hindering the police by your proximity.
