Men who display these traits tend to be both to me.

From what I know he already has some funds put aside for when we move in together and is looking for an even better job than he already has, and knows that he never wants to get a loan. He is far more thoughtful with money than I am. Once we're engaged we've discussed how we'd like to approach having children, as I'd like them to have the opportunities I've never had such as university, so we'll be putting aside some money for them as well. I've been thinking about doing some freelancing from ho…

Oh, I didn't really think about it as one-upping him, I just don't really know how to respond to it. I've always been the one who's given gifts and provided in my family after my mum and dad went through some tragedy which ended up with me taking care of the family, so being treated this way is quite alien to me. My first response is to reward kindness with kindness, so I figured a gift for a gift was appropriate.

Actually this sounds like a really nice idea. I was thinking of maybe getting him a new coat since his are quite worn out, but maybe I could make him one. My youngest sister has experience with tailoring and men's fashion, and she has a lot of books and designs that cater towards male dress, so maybe she can help me draw up a pattern, find the materials for it and quality check it. It's quite exciting to think about it as a project and I think he'd appreciate it.

I've just never really received many gifts from anyone until now so they're very special to me. I'll admit I'm not too knowledgeable on how men think and that I'm a bit lost with what is appropriate, but I am learning Cooking and baking are his hobbies so we usually do those things together, but I do try to do little things to make him feel appreciated, such as random kisses or offering him massages. I noticed that he likes physical affection so I'm leaning towards doing those more often.

What else is there, though? When I did a cursory search for LTR advice, most all of it was pertaining to dread game, so I honestly haven't seen much else come out of it other than the very basic "lift and get confident" advice, which again falls under dread game anyway.

I think it's about as common as spermjacking and divorce rape, to be honest. I've seen it a few times, though, but they've been pretty abusive cases. Guy finds girl, girl is a beautiful absolute unicorn and perfect wife material, guy gets complacent and bored with her love, guy creates drama and behaves cruelly, guy leave girl for a more dramatic or sexually available girl, everybody is left wondering what the fuck is wrong with guy.

Arrogant, abrasive, crude, self-proclaimed victim ("they made my life like this" reasoning), abnormally stoic, too blunt, obsessed with reputation, openly judgemental ("look at that girl over there. God she's fucking ugly, hahaha"), unknowledgeable, selfish, unfriendly, quick tempered, argumentative. Slouched posture, sloppy presentation, facial hair, unkempt hair, inarticulate, obese, bald, unhygienic or generally unappealing smell, lack of understanding or response to basic social cues (touchi…

Would/do you get insulted when a similar narrative occurs towards men (e.g radical feminism)? If you do, don't you see the problem with this? I mean it's pretty obvious to me. You've got two groups of people who think their rage-motivated opinions are the absolute truth and they feed one another, creating an ever perpetuating cycle of "no YOU'RE the arsehole!" and "I'll show you how things REALLY are!" TRP and radical feminism are like exactly the same thing.

Well that's fucking embarrassing. Sure it's "locker room gossip", but you're still an immature person if any of these thoughts pass through your head in the first place. If a man is a fuckhead to me I ask myself "why?" and maybe go into some mildly amused internal commentary about it, because I don't get anything out of being an angry cunt other than stress. I had enough of being an insufferable, shortsighted twat back when I was a teenager.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/14 01:21 PM

To be honest you seem like a teenager, which is why I'm not really sure how serious to take you.

Woo, looks like you're coloured by anger. No wonder you seem so touchy. No point in discussing things until you can actually comprehend the opposing argument, otherwise it'll just go straight over your head. I also don't live in America, where you have a rather strange culture of taking things to the extremes for some reason. Unless you are psychopath, killing people is actually quite hard emotionally and mentally, just so you know. It's completely different from fantasising about it. But then a…

I'm guessing you got a very strong sense of stoner logic, haha. Unless you have some sort of personality or mental disorder, you're probably normal too. Do you struggle to get a job and maintain friends? I disconnected from "the system" when I developed an abnormality, but medication and longterm psychotherapy helped that go fuck itself, sort of. Still considering ECT, though. Don't care about giving it to "the man" at this point. Surprised I'm not homeless. But anyways, let's explore the truth!…

I honestly think a lot of the misconceptions come from the media and enforcing the idea that men and women are such completely different beings that it's a miracle we happen to be of the same species, so we get these silly ideas in our heads. It feels like a game of princesses and dragons sometimes. I'd say it isn't the case of not wanting nice men, but simply being unsure and uncomfortable with the opposite sex. Even if someone was nice to me, I'd suspect they'd want something. It took me a lot…

If you view the world in black and white, you're setting yourself up for one big old serving of disappointment. That said, there are a few cases where things are either this or that, one of which includes the idea of "normal". Normal isn't actually that awful. Normal is just being able to fit into societal expectations. Most people in TRP will behave in a way that is, on the whole, normal and acceptable for positive socialising. If they didn't, well, no sex for them then. Abnormal is a confusing…

I actually struggled with intimacy for a while when I was a teenager. If I were to simplify it, I think it was mostly due to this sort of thought process - Men only care about sex, but I would like to be loved; Because men only want sex, they cannot love; Men will hurt and use me for sex under the pretence of love; I must be more careful around men; If I cannot be loved, then I will not love; I have built an ideal man in my head who will not hurt me; Most men are not ideal. This can possibly spl…

Where I'm from, guys who've been around the block are also associated with leaving behind a string of single mothers, cheating and spreading diseases too. Dunno if it's just my city in particular or not, but openly sticking your dick in anything that moves is a good way to fuck up your chances at LTR.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/14 11:00 PM

Well there are bitchy women out there, too. I avoid it cuz it's fucking horrible, or I tell them that I'm not doing this and walk out of the conversation. It's equally as immature as locker room gossip.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/11/14 01:05 AM
1

Well that's fair. You can't force someone to be attracted to you, and I don't really understand why people get mad over that either. What I had more in mind was that thing where guys pretty much spout off about how disgusting it is if they so much as see a picture or mention of some girl that "defaced" herself, and spew diatribe about the stranger they don't have to have anything to do with.

Dunno how else to word the phenomenon, other than perhaps something like "why do you get so vicious and offended when you see a woman with short hair, tattoos or multiple piercings?"

Uh, I'm not American or fat, I don't look like a lesbian (how do you even judge that?) and that last one is so subjective that I don't know what you're trying to project there. You seem to like making assumptions though. You continue living in your little bubble of sub-reality, it seems hard for you to step out of it, haha.

I'll keep that in mind. Might have to go perfume shopping soon.

How do you know they ain't spent years thinking about it? It's hard to go years thinking about what you're doing without thinking in the long-term. I mean, I can just take out my piercings and grow my hair long when it no longer suits me. As for a tattoo, well I intend to spend years deciding on what would last me a lifetime. I understand if you're talking like trampstamps or some of those awful chibi characters people get, or memes. Those seem pretty shortsighted.

It's not like I'm a tasteless troll with my piercings, ha. I sat on my ideas for years before acting on them, and I have been scouted in Hong Kong before, so they mustn't be that awful. To be fair though, what you wrote read to me as some guy sitting there with his blood vessels popping out of his head. Also can you show me some of this feminist literature you're referring to? Is it fury material or something?

I'll go ahead and read up on this sort of thing. I do tend to get stuck in my own imagination sometimes when it comes to reading and writing, and I guess I assumed people were aware of and cared for typical writing conventions. A learning experience is always appreciated.

Yeah I'm just kidding around. I think it's kinda cute how strongly people will assume I'm a whoring for attention just because I happen to have some piercings and short hair, considering I haven't actually said that much about how I am as a person. I'll try and remember that not everyone on the internet is critical or careful of writing, though. It was the default in my local culture to practice literary and auditory eloquence so I'm being a bit ignorant here.

I ask questions because I get curious about these things. I do actually aspire to be an author, so understanding people is something I really put value on. And don't worry, I got the message (well I think I did, anyway), but the presentation and tone conveys just as much of a message as the actual words do themselves. I'm quite a shy person and I like sitting alone and reading in my spare time. Maybe some people find that to be attention seeking in some way.

I got one because I have a flat Asian nose, so I think it kind of sits well on my face. I love the Indian nose jewellery and I think they look stunning! Took me a while to decide on the piercings I've gotten, making sure they look tasteful and suit a classic look. For some reason I quite like the idea of a pierced "madame vixen" sort of style, with fur coats, black gloves, classy dresses and red lipstick.

I find it weird to be just that disgusted when there are so many women out there who don't have any desire to "deface" themselves. I think it's awful to be the person who just can't control their tongue for the sake of at least basic decency, particularly when strangers are involved. I mean, I berate my siblings enough about being vocally judgemental and belittling to strangers, and this just looks like the same sort of thing. There are some things that men do which absolutely gross me out or ju…

I'm gonna be honest, it was inspired by this comment in particular. It was just so bizarre in tone that I had no idea what to make of it. I've also seen a few "useless broken women" type comments floating about here and there. I personally have multiple piercings in my ears and a nose ring, but I dress to aim for a look sort of like this, I just happen to like jewellery a lot and I think they make nice accents. My hair is short because I'm trying to grow better quality hair as mine is naturally …

I figured it was better to be a bit more honest about where I'm coming from, rather than sugar coating it to death. I don't really want to go and ask questions on RPW because I'm unsure if that'll get me banned or something, so the chance would be wasted.

I guess it's mostly the whole "them versus us" mentality that goes into the philosophy, and the statement about truth. You can't really be somewhere between truth and reality, if you accept the red pill as truth. That's probably just the fanatics losing their shit, though.

I'm mostly just working with general terms. I'm not invested in the idea of a perfect, happy society, nor particularly interested in defining it. I feel that you can't know beauty without knowing ugliness, so suffering and joy is intrinsically linked in my mind. By "discrimination in general" I was mostly thinking about social discrimination rather than anything else, as that is generally what people are referring to with the term in that context. By suggesting that women are currently less than…

It was more inspired by some posts I've seen that feminism is deconstructing society and making people unhappy in relationships, which suggests that a particular dynamic is preferable to another, particularly male dominant/female submissive. It also implies that marriage is required for happiness in a way. I don't wholly agree with that. While a truly free society is little more than a pipe dream, we can offer as many people as possible the chance to chase their dreams without discrimination. Na…

Mostly I had in mind a generally happier society, so a sort of shallow utopian ideal (not considering the obviously horrendous fallout that would come with building a utopia). Also, what would you describe as blue pill? I thought it was just a satire group or something. If the red pill is reality, is it possible for people who have already come to terms with man's atrocities to already be red pill without ever having heard of it before? And yeah, it's pretty easy to manipulate people if you deci…

So the truth of the red pill could be considered subjective to the individual's experience, then? I see a lot of the assumptions placed on women (solipsistic, shortsighted) as applicable to most everyone, men and women alike. Obviously that isn't really discussed on the red pill because I guess it's just accepted that men can be selfish assholes as well. But I also notice there are a lot of amicable people who are easy to ignore, and that they've usually suffered in some way (mental illness bein…

Do you think it would work for a couple that usually shares most responsibilities? We both share our thoughts on everything and reach an agreement, but I wasn't sure if that was something RPW encourages or discourages. He's also a very sensual and emotional man, which I highly respect him for, but the idea that a man should always be stoic lest he lose my attraction had me a little confused. We have an openly affectionate dynamic. Is there anything you'd recommend every woman at least has a look…

The nonsense is bothersome but I'll have a look to see if there's something that could really help my relationship. We're pretty affectionate as it is now, but I'd like to keep us happy and in love for as long as possible.

Well it's still good to see what it does for other people, I think. I don't want to be one of those conformist cunts who just jumps on the hate train without really trying to get the whole picture, so either way this benefits me.

Actually I kinda think being hedonistic is the default right now. I've had one partner in my life and we're planning on settling soon, and he's pretty much the breadwinner right now but we're open to either person being stay at home if it's necessary. We're happy and traditional, so RPW could have something to offer me in particular. Just not really sure what to make of it, as it seems to have some bad reputation attached to it.

I'm pretty for men's rights actually. And women's rights. If they're reasonable and not completely outlandish. Got into some arguments over it, actually. I hold men and women to the same standards. And yeah, I am an animal, I've always considered myself one. It's not a derogatory thing to me. Considering RPW, I thought maybe there's a thing in it all for me. I'll admit I haven't gotten too deep into their stuff, which is why I'm wondering about it and I figured asking some simple questions would…

I'm not just talking about penetration. Forced sexual activity as in oral, groping, penetrative sex and all that stuff. I mean if a girl decided to shove her fingers up some guys arse and jumping on the resulting erection without his consent I'd count that as a form of rape, just as I would count some guy forcing a girl to perform oral as a form of rape.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/14 08:42 PM

I already dislike players. I always have. I got no interest in other men right now cuz I got with a man during my virginal unicorn stage or whatever you want to call it, we get along like a house on fire and are planning on a family, so I'm not particularly bothered about discerning whether or not a guy is a cunt. I also put the easy to read questions at the bottom because I know I ramble like an senile old man.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/14 08:34 PM

I'm sorry, but this is a "my word versus your word therefore my word wins" situation now. In my experience, man sluts aren't desirable for relationships unless you're a complete chav. That's what I see most of the time, so I'm gonna assume that it's how things work in my city's culture and my particular friendship circles. I can't say "well YOU ARE SUPER WRONG" because you're likely experiencing a different subculture to me, so it may to correct in your experience. For me it's not rare for a guy…

Men can get raped and used by women, and one of the biggest issues surrounding that is the shame and stigma attached. Cuz men apparently always want sex and it don't matter how he gets it, and people be like "guys can't be raped and if you say you were then that means you're a pussy". Wouldn't say that was a distinctly feminist problem. It existed before feminism. People are just a bit more aware of it now. I also define rape as forced sexual activity so really I have no clue what you're saying …
