The word "toxic" is an adjective - it's specifically meant to differentiate the normal version of the noun it's paired with from the "toxic" version of it. Masculinity is good. It's not the idea that all masculinity is toxic, it's when someone associates masculinity with negative personality traits. Being a man is often associated with positive traits like being a protector and being respectful and reliable. That's healthy masculinity. Not all boys need to exhibit these traits - they're simply classically associated with that gender.
