It might as well, seeing as how you can't prove otherwise. It doesn't matter what I can prove after the fact in a court of law, rape still occurs when there is no consent. Being alone with someone is not the same as consenting to sex. Phrase your question in terms of a court room, or phrase your question in terms of rape. The way you are coming across right now is defending rape, and not attempting to foster any actual discussion.

Do you know what the difference in sentencing is for domestic assault vs attempted murder? Maybe there is some special sentencing in England (like a "hate crime" in America) which would warrant a harsher sentencing. I was going to point out something along these lines. What if an attacker was targeting women due to them wearing the jersey from a specific sports team? Would they say that it is "completely inappropriate" to advise women not to wear that specific sports team's jersey? I think it's interesting how proponents of both sides (at least the loudest ones) seem to fail to realize that both genders have hardships to face, while both genders have advantages as well. My wife tried to claim that the average woman does 120 hours of work a week. I called BS, but she said that even when they are sleeping, it counts as work because they are "on call" for whatever the kids need.

Why is the guy wearing a Pi Lambda Phi hat? Edit: I get why he's wearing a fraternity hat, but I was wondering why Pi Lambda Phi specifically was chosen. Fair point, and I think that's what most people think of. You're less likely to remember the fat guy who is apologetic about needing extra help, and more likely to remember the fat guy who is demanding special treatment for his condition. I have no problem being a dick toward someone if they initiate the dickery, and I'm much more willing to help someone out if they come across as polite and good-natured.

Not necessarily the case. This situation is true in Australia, as well. Women outnumber the men. Consequently, the men all act like assholes toward the women, and they have to deal with it. When I was in the Navy, we had a port call in Australia, and were fawned over by the women. Possibly because of the accent, but I think it had more to do with the fact that we were usually actually nice to them.
