Ok fair enough, I think I misinterpreted you. I just don't see why we wouldn't make it the same as lying to the police about any other crime. Would maxing the sentence even reduce it if these women already aren't prosecuted? IDK, the real issue here seems to be cultural stigma and people's lack of understanding of how the law is supposed to work. The legal system ain't gonna fix that if people are already ignorant of what "not-guilty" means.

Wrong is strong language. Saying there need to be stronger consequences for destroying someone's life makes sense. Here there were basically none, I would laugh at how ridiculous it is if it didn't just make me sad and then angry. Saying the person who falsely accusing someone of a burglary deserves their home to be burglarized is just clown court.

Kicking people while they're down is bad form, but is it really so bad to shame someone for acting irresponsibly about something within their control? I have a thyroid disease and used to be obese. People shamed me, sometimes constructive but mostly not. Eventually I got it together and got healthy, it's not some impossible feat. It just requires as much time as these people probably dedicate to half of one hobby.
