Thank God I don't live in the UK. The US at least has broadly-construed free speech protections that can't be shat upon by some radical progressive politician. If I ask a woman out who happens not to be interested in me, have I committed a hate crime? Un-fucking-real.

No, because "cultural appropriation" is a completely bullshit construct that some assholes made up to advance their narrative. Western culture is constantly "appropriated" in many other places around the world. How often have you heard them bitch and moan about that?

It's fucking Virginia. This is the same state that very nearly elected a guy who wanted to outlaw blowjobs to the office of governor. I hope the religious crowd is right about there being a just God, because maybe then the law enforcement and prosecutors involved in this case will be made to answer for trying to ruin this kid's life. THEY pose much more of a threat to society than this kid who didn't do anything wrong. The only regulation of sex that the state should be involved in is punishing …

There are plenty of women who have zero interest in stuff like this. And often, it's pretty easy to tell the ones who do.

You aren't wrong but at the same time taking part in something that encourages someone to cheat on their spouse-to-be is something there's absolutely no excuse for. Doesn't matter if women "don't tend to know what's appropriate." I'm pretty sure they should know that you don't 1) help people cheat or 2) grope people without consent.

It's almost like men and women are equally capable of being shitty people!

So we're doling out human rights based on gender? How progressive of them.

One of the worst positions you could be in these days is to be a guy accused of sexual assault on a college campus, particularly at a more prestigious school. I have two degrees from quite prestigious institutions and there were few to no voices on either campus speaking out against bullshit like this. It's always baffled me how people who are otherwise incredibly smart can support this kind of witch-hunting and denial of due process. The situation at Dartmouth is beyond disgusting and you are b…

Yeah, you're right, not one did. I had one professor in the 88; it was disappointing, too, she was a nice lady.

Duke alum here. All this stuff in both directions (both the rape claims and the claims of due process violations) are just allegations at this point, but if McLeod is being truthful, I can't believe that Duke has learned absolutely nothing from the lacrosse fiasco. The rush to judgment was fueled heavily by on-campus SJW bullshit that nearly 100 of our professors openly endorsed in our student newspaper. The fact that the accuser was African-American and the players were Caucasian only fueled th…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
