1	I Want to invest my $.$$ into something short term. Holy crap. I did the same thing. Never worked 100% in infosec, always sysadmin (linux and some permissions / web app management) and built my own firmware at a company I co-founded. 1	What made you join the community? Thanks, I appreciate the well wishes. I did all of my credential grabbing in a focused silo with blinders on, just ripping through them. Laser focused. I'm going up the CTF / Pentest side now (where my interest really lies) and doing reverse engineering, trying to knock out OSCP this year. 1	Why women are irrational. Actually had to stand up and pace around the room about the inner monologue bit. 1	Left my toxic ex girlfriend behind. Cut people out of my life, moved into a new apartment where I can focus on my education and do what I wanna do. Huge thanks to this sub, gave some direction and I re gained focus on what’s really important. What's your background? Do you work in IT currently? I guess my only advice is to have a clear end-goal in mind, break them down into pieces, build an excel spreadsheet and work toward steps of it. I was in school for Computer Information Systems for one semester and dropped out. Not sure if I condone it; gotta do what feels right for you. 3	Marriage is like applying for jobs Funny you say this - I've been recently interviewing (in my field there's a far greater demand for qualified professionals than supply) - and even in some interviews I keep getting the skeptical side-eye and casual brush-offs and "gotcha"s.
