Anyone who is denying the disparity of online dating must not know a lot of women IRL who use apps. It's shocking how easy it is for mid women to have harems of guys out of their league. Meanwhile the guys out of their league have harems of mid girls.

Nope somewhere between 20-50 years ago was better. The rise of online negativity and obesity has made things worse.

I met this guy who taught English in China. It's interesting because he felt like a second class citizen there, but was making more money there than here and came back with a wife. Even for guys who are educated and have solid careers they find their wife abroad more easily than in the west. Most women are still asking where are all the good men? Most guys are not interested or capable of being the provider they want and it seems like the guys who are capable of being providers are not intereste…

My experience is that most women with really high body counts are really undesirable women that get pumped and dumped constantly. Eventually a guy with low enough standards might enter an ltr with them but either she is unattractive, seriously mentally ill or both and they keep chasing guys that are out of their league. Girls who are relatively mentally fit and/or attractive will have plenty of guys willing to LTR them and they still rack up numbers but can get better quality guys and stay in re…

He's appealing to populist fantasy, even though he is a rich, famous, tall and muscular guy who has no issues with women he wants to act like he can relate to the struggles of an average joe.

It would make sense for a woman to be supportive of their right to vote or access to contraception, which is also something that feminists support. But saying that you are a feminist means that you you identify with the same people that brought you #freethenipple #metoo #believeallwomen #killallmen. A significant proportion of vocal feminists are literally man hating misandrists that put down and mistreat men and do much more harm than good. A woman calling herself a feminist means that she spen…

Im not British but Tate was smart when he came up with the concept of “escaping the matrix” This is a basic red pill concept, in fact the whole red pill/blue pill name comes from the matrix. He didn't come up with it and he didn't come up with the majority of the things he says. He's like a human red pill handbook with a lot of the low quality comments getting scribbled in.

Many blue pillers are also delusional, like the people who many not be actually successful but they still support the system. I know guys who are virgins into their late 20s who are bluepilled. They are just like the guys who will never be wealthy but think that elon musk is a relatable genius.

But no one really cares that that're struggling in romantic life. Those types of men tend to live alone, quietly, and then they die without anyone really ever noticing they were there. They're irrelivent to most peoples lives. No one cares about them. QFT

Most women that have high body counts are girls that are not very desirable for much outside of sex and have mental/self esteem issues. Most women who have lots of casual sex are rarely normal, that's just the truth.

I think you just omit ones that will not make you look good in other people's eyes. Like racial ones. Dating as a non white guy is tough. JBW is one of the things that only blackpillers talk about (but they are too extreme like other things) and no other mainstream communities will admit (especially not most feminist or pro female groups because then they would have to admit that male privilege isn't real). Even if a white guy isn't a woman's type, pretty much all women will consider a white guy…

Women in this sub pretend like most women aren't shallow like this. There's a reason why women who call themselves feminists or talk about height and other superficial preferences are red flags. Aspects of feminism appeal to all women, but a woman who would tell a guy she is a feminist shows a lack of basic social skills because feminists have been and always will be a controversial and unpopular fringe group of weirdos and saying that you are one of them means you believe in a whole bunch of cr…

Whether men are RP aware or not I think most men who do well never really needed it in the first place and most men who struggle will continue to struggle. Even TRP communities acknowledge that most guys can never become an HVM, most guys will never truly internalize RP and actually improve dramatically. A lot of guys might try to deny this in the RP community, but most guys will never be alpha or Chads and based on what I've seen irl it just seems these types of guys are angrier and more frustr…

The fact that all women have the option to deliver men like pizza just shows the abundance of options they have. Doesnt matter how much of a loser a woman is, she has more options than she can handle.

A lot of women have no incentive to self improve because no matter how obese, mentally ill, broke, mean or other bad traits they have they have a ton of options due to dating apps and social media. They can literally order men like pizza except they have a free trial for unlimited delivery for life. Its probably never gonna happen, but if all of a sudden all men on the planet boycotted low quality women (or at least in the west) men would have a better experience with dating.

Redpillers used to call blackpillers and mgtows guys who just gave up. I think blackpill wasn't even a term until more recently because they would be shunned for not wanting to try and put in work at all.

They were blindsided because their wife was internalizing her emotions and refusing to communicate and instead of working on the relarionship built resentment and disgust towards their partners. By the time they bring it up to their partner they already made up their mind a long time ago.

Young college guys can have harems of older women who satisfy them while they study for an adult job or work on their own business and then once they are in their late 20s or early 30s they can find a younger girl to start a family with.

Desirable men will get all the women whether they choose them or not. The less desirable men would be beaten or threatened by the taller stronger more desirable men. So the women don't just sleep with them because they desire to but because it means it is the best choice for their own safety. If they don't they will be forced to. I'm just making things up as we go along so we can keep it going as long as you want to.

Most of redpill theories align with conservatism and a lot of the values from the abrahamic religions align with that. TRP doesn't explicitly align to religion however and I agree that the overall stance on dating (dont get married, theres no point) isn't compatible with those religions since they highly value the institution of marriage. However there is a "but if you do decide to get married" part of TRP where they discuss what the best way to handle an LTR/marriage should be if you are alread…

It's worse when you consider that women tend to be slightly older than men due to longer life spans so the discrepancy between men and women within a realistic dating age (remove all people above 50 or 40 depending if you can handle how bad the real ratios are for young men since younger men have worse ratios than at older ages when more men have died off)

Women frequently date, marry and hook up with older men. For every 20 year old girl hooking up with a guy just one year older or more, that is a 20 year old guy whose dating pool shrinks because women rarely want to do anything with younger guys. A 20 year old girls dating pool can be anywhere from 20 to 39 but a 20 year old guys would be 18-20, potentially 18-22 if you assume some older women are ok with a small age gap.

There's a lot of overlap between liberal with bluepill and conservative with redpill so I will use them interchangeably. There is a culture of distrust and weariness of strangers pushed by libs. The bp response you always see about dating advice for men is to go on dating apps, go to bars, or something very general and vague. They won't tell you to work on yourself to get more interest from the opposite sex and they puah this idea that there are a million situations and places where it's not app…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/24 07:05 PM

LA and Miami are more looks focused and definitely full of red pilled dudes. Places like the PNW and the Midwest are much less looks focused and blue pilled. I don't see why you think it's hard to believe that there aren't tons of blue pilled men and women out there who believe this because there are tons of ugly, fat, and poorly groomed people dating each other depending where you live.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/24 05:13 PM

Some guys might be satisfied but I think a significant group if not the majority of men have a lot of dating struggles. That doesn't mean they never get girls but the quantity and quality of the relationships they have are lacking.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/24 02:57 PM

He cold approached you, that's not exactly blue pill
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/24 09:52 AM

No, blue pillers do believe that looks aren't as important as they are to most people and a lot of blue pillers are actually ugly out of shape people who date other ugly out of shape people.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/24 09:22 AM

Red pill is a reaction to the part of left wing and feminist ideology that seeks to destroy traditional gender roles/dynamics. Blue pill ideology tells us men and women are the same, gender is a construct etc but in real life most women especially liberal ones still follow traditional dating standards and men in real life are confused. They see women say one thing and do the opposite and came together to take notes and the red pill was born.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/24 09:18 AM

What a lame reductionist take. A lot of guys in high school and college and even older are into RP stuff because that's when they start trying to get girls and start noticing a difference in what they were led to believe about dating and how it is in reality.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/24 09:13 AM

TRP would say most people have some amount of "red" in them. Blue pill is usually reserved for the type of people like destiny who are the furthest example away from red pill possible.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/24 09:10 AM

Blue pill refers to most women and non masculine men who do not follow TRP ideas of dating norms and strategies. The TRP view implies most straight men naturally lean towards their views and they say women unwittingly act in accordance to TRP theories. They also talk about BP men as being men who are "delusional about female nature" and do not believe that money, looks, "game", and status are very important towards dating success for men as much as being a good person. Look at the blue pill guy …
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/24 09:09 AM

Not everyone is in a niche hyperliberal queer community that only runs in certain areas of large cities and not everyone is attracted to those types of people. It's crazy when women here act as if having basic hygiene and life skills will make you a girl magnet but a lot of guys who lack those things get plenty of girls and all of the girls on PPD and irl will have multiple exes who lacked these things. The worst women on this sub are almost always engaged/married. The ones who are not tend to be a lot nicer and less hostile somehow. It's almost like a huge contingent of women who are looking to get married are parasites needing an emotional/financial support to leech off of, and the women who aren't like that just don't care as much about being marriage (because they actually don't need a man).

/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 12:54 PM

Men are usually diagnosed more than women because the most obvious sign of autism is the struggling to fit in with peers. This has to be noticed at a young age, and by far autistic men struggle more socially. Not just dating, but making friends in general. I don't think the ability to mask better explains it the gap by itself, men are penalized more greatly for social ineptitude. Since a lot of people are commenting on the dating aspect, the fact that it's so much easier for an autistic woman to…

Even though there might be more Chads, there are way more hot women to go around and they are not as special as if they were the hottest girl around for miles.

The new generation is socially stunted. Don't know if you're another one of those middle aged married women on this sub who are far removed from modern dating, but over the course of my lifetime I've seen the way that younger generations social skills have declined. Certain types of people might be more likely to use dating apps but its not self reported. Its harder to make a meaningful study based on meeting in person because collecting that data is much more time consuming and prone to error. White westerners are so desperate to find a replacement for the lack of culture they grew up with that they become very extreme when they find some form of spirituality to cling to. Many people who were "born" into the religion and even still identify as a Muslim will suck, fuck, drink, smoke and eat pork, but these converts are interested in joining because they are drawn in by the extreme stuff.

This is what you don't get. People who are born and raised in societies with such different social and cultural norms behave very differently. Women might still have hypergamous instincts in a more restrictive/religious society, but they will be suppressed and they will have much more realistic standards and are actually required to uphold some standards themselves. They are much more likely to actually be virgins at marriage and not have ever slept around, willing to compromise and not leave th…

Men can never date up. What's interesting in the west is that women have a much higher ability to date up due to a relatively low supply of viable women. Meaning that a lot of women who would be considered undesirable in many parts of the world (poor, unattractive, unfeminine, and it is politically incorrect but darker skinned women are considered less desirable) can find a partner much more easily in the west and even date up.

Having more depreciating assets doesnt make one richer, and i dont know how some people still dont realize this thousand year old lesson. Clearly time hasnt made everyone wiser. I debunked that study you are quoting. By that definition, a man can earn 50% more than his wife and that's considered "equal". $70k/$47k, $100k/$67k, $150k/$100k. In those scenarios but especially the closer to average they are, the woman benefits more than the man does from the additional income, and arguably there would be far more couplings on the "egalitarian" side where men are earning more than the women because so much anecdotal and verifiable evidence points to women prioritizing financ…

I agree. I know a lot of guys with tight knit circles, some small some a bit larger, and they might not go out of their way to socialize with everybody but they are picky about who they want to be around and do not easily add new people to their crew. It might be a bubble, but these guys seem to be the most comfortable with themselves and not clingy because they always have someone they know they can text or call out or hangout with at the drop of a dime. If they are a part of a very "popular" s…

They might not be going after ultra rich people, but the vast majority of women are married to a man that outearns them or have a higher earning potential in general. Financial stability is clearly a huge incentive for women to marry and has been cited as one of the main reasons for divorce.

I rarely see men being the ones to make fun of other men who struggle to date or rarely get dates, have been single or sexless for years if not a lifetime. Its usually women who shame men for not being successful with women, which shows how much respect they have for most men. I've heard that analogy countless times around these spaces and its wrong. Let's assume there's validity to it - water can be separated from salt by boiling it and collected through condensation. Then you can save the salt…

You misrepresented your own source. In 6% of marriages, women are sole earners, 10% are breadwinners (make over 60% of household income), 29% are egalitarian (no partner earns more than 60% of household income), and I would assume that in most egalitarian marriages the man still is the higher earner. If a man makes $70k and his wife makes $47k they would be in this category. 31% of marriages men are the breadwinners (60%+ of household income) and a whopping 23% of marriages men are the sole earn…

Men struggling with dating = starving and being locked outside of walmart. Women struggling with dating = choosing to starve inside a walmart. Women can easily get sex AND relationships of better quality AND quantity than men can, dating is just easier for women and youre either stupid, oblivious, evil or all of the above to deny that. Women can have legitimate struggles but they are in a completely different reality than most men. If you don't think so it's because most men are invisible to you…

I know very social guys that get no women. As in mid to late 20s virgins. It's funny how a 5'6 or shorter man is about as uncommon as a 6'3 or taller man but so many girls have 6'3 boyfriends and not 5'6 ones.

Ive seen plenty of Chads stoop very low to get their dicks wet. Girls exaggerate how hard it is to get a guy to commit, those are just the ones that want to keep hopping from bf to bf or they refuse to lower their physical standards (the preference many women have for tall men which seems to be 6'2 or above proves the 80/20 rule, in this case its the top 1%)
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/24 10:30 PM
3

But women raise standards for casual. Its not hard for a man to get in a relationship because girls are willing to drop their physical requirements for a relationship. A guy who can't get casual sex could still get a relationship with a decent enough looking girl. A guy who can get casual could get a relationship if he wanted, he just has to be willing to be tied down in the first place.

The phrase "you told on yourself" is one of the dumbest memes that PPD women are obsessed with. More stupid shaming language. I've said this elsewhere, but its clear that women like you just want to maintain power over men in dating by artificially limiting their opportunities to approach.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/24 09:52 PM
2

Based on conversations I've had with women I've been with who gave signals, it seems like a lot of the signals they throw out are not conscious, so if a girl is giving them to you, they are very likely to be enthusiastic about you approaching and a girl that is giving very standoffish vibes is more than likely going to be very unpleasant. Sometimes girls won't give any signals and seem very neutral until you approach them and actually talk to them however.

For an individual earner, $100k is very comfortable. $200k is probably enough for a family of 4 to be very comfortable. $400k is definitely much more comfortable than $200k, but is much harder to get to and besides saving for retirement faster it doesn't make your lifestyle drastically different the way going from $50k-$100k or $100k-$200k might.

This is how I feel about the women. So many of them are unempathetic to lonely men and they bully, mock, and put them down. Not even the extreme ones, just guys who say "I have a really hard time dating even though I am college educated, have my own place, a decent job and lots of friends" and then get attacked by harpies who insist "oh you must be a misogynist who deserves it because all normal men get to have lots of sex with beautiful women because they're good people who are kind and deserve…

Hypersexuality is actually a symptom of childhood trauma - isolation, neglect, emotional and physical abuse, etc. If you were to know people like this IRL the commonality they tend to have is that they had a bad childhood and little positive social interaction.

Pretty high sex drive guy here - I still have a high amount of desire but also disgust now because of socializing with women and understanding their mindset. As an average height man, it's very apparent how being 6'+ (really 5'11 barefoot) is an advantage and every inch above that only seems to increase the advantage. I want to say that I've never experienced any issues as I've dated from 4'11 to 5'8 and I am taller than most girls (90%+) but I won't deny that the percentage of girls who are interested in me is much higher at smaller sizes. /r/PurplePillDebate03/01/24 07:26 PM

They all look and act very similarly but fewer of them are likely to have some kind of niche interest that they are interested in. Youll probably see more gym rats, gamers, skaters, surfers that are men than women and theyll also have a look related to that interest. Most women arent as interested in things like that and are less likely to have a style specific to that.

The red pill community has a much more realistic perspective on dating than the blue pill/main stream media narrative. I don't say that I am a red piller because in the late 2010s as it started gaining more traction I started seeing a lot more people IRL who openly use those talking points, and it's pretty clear that those people who have taken anonymous posts from internet strangers to heart like a Bible verse have some screws loose. I always thought mid sized towns were the best middle ground. In small towns the lack of anonymity seems to limit hook ups and the competition and angriness of city people also makes it challenging. Mid sized cities are nicer than big cities and more anonymous than small cities.

Typical NPC response from a ppd woman. It would be easy to make an AI that can generate 90% of the nagging and nastiness of the women on PPD.

Age gap couples are very common. 3-7 years is pretty typical especially as women enter the 25+ range, and even 10-15 year gaps aren't rare either. I've seen gaps as large as 13 years where the guy didn't even look like an older dude. What's rare is seeing couples with large age gaps where the dude is obviously older.

It's not just working, it's living in an aging society where there are more middle aged and retirement aged people than teenagers and college age people and most of the country is just a very spread out collection of loosely tied suburbs where you have to spend hours of your life alone in a car to get anywhere, and as a result there's few places where you can live, go outside and walk around and be surrounded by your peers and make friends and meet partners organically instead of from the intern…

Well yeah duh. The smallest proportion of the population are young people in the dying aging west. The typical American is roughly 40 (about 50% of Americans are middle age or older, just being in your 20s puts you in less than 10% of Americans or something) and women are slightly older on average because there are more young males than young females (this is a fact). Compared to the Philippines something really high like 90%+ of the population is under 30 and they're mostly thin.

I think that women who deny this either have little to no interaction with average men, or they have little to no empathy. Very few woman has slept her way to actual real power, where a man provides a woman with a literal powerful position Women do it all the time. Kamala Harris is a good example, and so are many women in the corporate sector. But I'm talking about romantic relationships, and most relationships don't have that kind of dynamic. The one who can more easily replace the other partner has more power over the other, and that is by default going to be the woman.

No, there are more young men than young women. Since men are disproportionately the victims of premature deaths/violence the populations starts shifting towards more women around the 40s or 50s and after that there are more women than men.

I’m happy to continue to support, protect and warn young women off creepy old men who target them for their naivety. This narrative of old men "targeting" fully grown adult women and being manipulative predators is a joke. /r/PurplePillDebate20/12/23 11:21 PM

The power imbalance thing that libfems on the internet keep complaining about is a load of crap. Younger women have the most power in relationships while they are at their most desirable, unless you're talking about a middle age retail store manager dating a 16 year old cashier this is monsene.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/23 11:14 PM

It's crazy seeing how those hot party girls that used to exclusively date 200+ lb white meat heads in her prime years is now going for a pudgy dad bod Asian guy now that she's getting older and looking to settle. By the way she has 6 figures of debt and hates working too.

How short is too short? Most people are painfully average. Let me explain. As someone who has spent a lot of time around smart and well off people, meaning successful millionaire next door types, the vast majority (men and especially women) are physically unremarkable. Maybe tall or short, but someone who you would probably walk past in public and not notice. The main thing is that they usually don't have good bodies and are out of shape and everything else follows - their style, posture, etc. M…

When people see unattractive guys with attractive girls, what they don't see is the bus load of Chads she dated and slept with before that guy. After realizing that she won't get the relationship she wants with Chad, she lowers her looks standards while increasing others (money, respectfulness, etc)

Yes in the US there is a weird dichotomy between the extremely conservative and religious people who get married young (Utah which is dominated by Mormons has the youngest marriage age in the country) and the people who don't want to settle down and want to get multiple degrees and have a career first. Most of the US is also rural/suburban sprawl, so the opportunity to meet partners for a lot of people is much more limited.

I didn't say being cheated on was ideal. I'm saying that for a man to actually get a quality partner that doesn't stray was definitely more likely then than today. So what if it's easier to catch them or find out about it? Women are doing it so much more openly and this reality is not so great.

The first scenario happens today, I know guys who died not knowing they raised Chad's bastard child. And you're assuming women cant have their cake and eat it too, they will cheat on you, take your money, and leave you to take care of the kids while getting fucked bareback by Chads using your money. That shit wouldn't have happened back in the day the way it does now.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 09:24 PM

There's a higher chance of being cucked today then back then. I don't know why you think girls have the decency to break off a relationship where they're getting all the side dick they want and enjoy their loser husband's money who keeps her around because divorcing her will mean he loses all his money anyway. I've seen this so many times. At least back then it was possible to find a woman who wasn't cheating and had less opportunity/incentive to do so.

The problem is that there are more young men than women and there are more men "grinding" and self improving. Many more men are into sports, working out, and are working on their career. Most women dont do any of those things, and it is very hard to find a woman that is attractive and has anything to offer. A lot of women aren't even attractive but still have nothing to offer.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/23 08:55 PM

If a man "ruined" a woman and wast caught hooking up or got her pregnant, he was usually forced to marry her. But there have always been kings and emperors with harems and figures like Rasputin that were powerful and influential and had as many women as they wanted. So the dichotomy between HVM and LVM always existed, low value men were always shamed while high value men did what they wanted.

Suburbs can be walkable. For example in the suburbs I grew up in, the 70s and 80s construction homes are actually very walkable to grocery stores, schools, parks, etc. But newer constructions are built much further away from the centers of the area.

Money definitely helps, but indirectly. Leading with your wallet is the definition of BB and explains pretty much every guy you see who is with a much more attractive girl. The way money helps indirectly is by affording you the free time to pursue women and the resources to improve your looks/attractiveness (clothes, hair, gym, etc). It also costs money to travel to venues, buy alcohol or tickets to events that let you meet women (college is a prime environment to meet women and that is increasi…

You're more likely to make more money in more expensive areas that tend to have more higher paying jobs. Marriages have been becoming less and less common. BUT also divorce rates for millennials have gotten down to 45% from the 55-60% we've seen from the generations before. That's still pretty high, especially considering that reduction is only because of the cultural shift from marriage being an expectation for everyone, which means there is no pressure for many people who would have not preferred to be married (like closeted gay men, asexuals, etc). Now the majority of kids are born to unmarried …

Young men going back as much as 40 years or so haven’t wanted actual relationships. They want to “sow their wild oats,” to speak. This hasn’t changed recently. A lot of 22 year-old guys just want to fuck around and party, for example. I would argue the same for many young women, too, although I think this is far more prevalent amongst young men. Marriage sucks. Especially for men. If girls were classier, could cook and clean, and didn't just chase guys for their looks then maybe there would be m…

Now it makes sense why you have such weird takes. You're an old lady. You would have to link that data but theres a big difference in being able to have sex one or a couple times a year and having sex on a fairly consistent basis (multiple times a month). Women, by contrast, are by far most likely to be single later in life – roughly half of women ages 65 and older are unpartnered (49%), while those ages 30 to 49 are the least like…

Exactly. I know one guy who is average height, bald and fat and his gf is conventionally attractive. He lives in a relatively cheap area and makes good money ($150k+). The way they scream and yell at each other is scary. She stays because he can provide a good lifestyle and he stays because he gets to parade around having a hotter gf.

Many people here lack nuance. Maybe in some areas like small town america in the middle of nowhere where most dudes are 5'9 and not rich. Some areas on the other hand there is such a high percentage of very rich, very tall, and good looking dudes that average men suffer. Like in many rich areas there is no shortage of 6'2"+ dudes and even literal celebrities living there.

Money only matters to the extent that it helps you meet women. For example if you are a 6'2 jacked broke dude but live with your parents in NYC where there's tons of women then you'll get more girls than a nerd living in the Washington suburbs making 10x as much.

You really don't understand anything about averages. It varies greatly by location. Average in some places might mean that most people don't have above a high school education and they make $15 an hour working at a factory. Overall, the younger generation is socially stunted, but younger women are more so. Young women are especially undisciplined, not hard working, unempathetic and full of disdain for others. But they are more easily accepted for their shortcomings by virtue of being young women. Young men have to prove themselves to be considered worthy of others time. In order for young men to be accepted, they have to go out of their way to be all the things most women are not.

I don't think more men care about self improvement, I just think that the difference between those who do and those who don't are more extreme. Guys today are using steroids, hair regrowth medication, and doing more than ever because they have to compete. But overall more of the population is obese, fewer men can afford their own place or have a decent paying job, and now there's a growing group of guys who just refuse to participate in the system altogether. I have realized awhile ago and now i…

Keyword is attractive. Women are much harsher about men's looks than the other way around. Girls always have options, men often go long periods of time between them. Comparing naturally forming relationships between transactional and often illegal activities is absurd.

A growing group of men who feel angry at the fact that they aren't getting their fair shake is never good for society Women's main role is to birth and raise children. Men's main role is to take care of them and endure hardship on their behalf. Now we have a society focused on enriching a small exclusive club of people where most men are still expected to take care of everyone else but they get no reward for it, and many are opting out of participating instead of being exploited.

Girls have more experience with the opposite sex at the same age. Girls date guys their age and older and don't generally like going younger. This is why I didn't bother to answer. You're only interested in having a one way conversation and being "right". You haven't even given a counterargument or definition of masculinity yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/23 03:54 AM
2

You asked for the difference between the two, not the definition. It's been talked about to death especially in this sub, but a man who is masculine is in control of his emotions, is a leader, competent, looks manly and not feminine, and serves as a good role model and benefactor to society.

The difference between masculinity and toxic masculinity today is that - Everybody today expects men to be masculine, men and especially women alike. But toxic masculinity is shaming language used to diminish the reward that men get for being masculine so that both men who are not masculine enough stay in their lane and that men who are masculine fulfill their expected roles without expecting anything in return (so that others can take advantage of them).

I agree one hundred percent. I had a few friends in a group. There was a specific guy who was problematic and had something against me, but towards the others he was still a dick and pushed boundaries. The difference between them and me is that they liked him and thought he was cool, and they tolerated his bs even though it bothered them. I didn't tolerate it one bit. The most toxic trait he had was his superiority complex and he thought he was better than everyone and deserved special treatment…

I would consider it middle class if that's between two people, because that's just average in the states (a man making say $42k and his wife making $33k would be average) and that between the two working 40 hours a week with 2 weeks off a year that quality of life is decent but not great. $75k as a single earner is great, since that can reasonably afford nice cars, clothes, vacations, retirement, etc and a mortgage on a decent house in some parts of the country.

Inherited wealth goes much further, and most people studying stem do it because it can make their kids rich some day. True upper middle class is generations of wealth that have accumulated and appreciated, which most stem lords do not have, especially because most of those fields are not as mature. I know families who are upper middle class who inherited plantation money, and of course they justify why they deserve their wealth. None of those people study stem, they just study whatever they want…

It's really a matter of luck, but more often than not clubs/bars are packed with dudes. Once in awhile when the stars align there might suddenly be a decent ratio of girls in a venue but ive gone out enough to say most places you go anywhere in the west young single guys significantly outnumber women and you're likely to be surrounded by them on a night out.

Middle class but not truly upper middle class. The old money 6'2 born with a silver spoon in their mouth good old boy types will go into finance, law, etc. Stem is mostly immigrants and their kids who were educated and middle class from where they came from but not wealthy by American standards who make most of their wealth by working. Guys who are extremely short, unathletic, autistic, antisocial, poorly groomed etc tend to go into stem and similarly for most of the girls too tbh.

I only recently noticed that a lot of these powerlifting fatsos who look like crap basically just "cheat" instead of being actually strong. A fat guy that has good genetics will still look like he lifts, because their traps, shoulders, back, and arms and entire upper body should still show under the fat and the added size will look good, especially if like in my case I still have significant vascularity at higher body fat. Hes extremely fit. Something everyone can do, but youre all just too lazy to do it. Goes back to my self improvement argument. Most people will never get extremely fit. As someone with visibly vascular arms and a prominent V taper that shows in clothes and who has gone to several gyms on and off for years now most people will never stay consistent long enough nor have the genetics for it without steroids to ever get an impressive physique.

Mother's are the ones making the choice to mutilate their sons and single moms are more likely to do so. Women have low empathy for men, even their own sons. https://thegrio.com/2013/08/22/fewer-parents-circumcising-boys/
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 03:25 PM

The US is the only place where non religious circumcision is the norm. The kind of doctors that perform circumcisions are generalists, which are very well represented with women in the US. Any part of the world that performed female circumcision is getting rid of the practice and rightfully calls it genital mutilation, but men do not get the same benefit of the doubt.

Exactly. $180k in your 20s makes you a 1% earner but it doesn't make your life like a rockstar. Women are valued inherently for their bodies, they have tits and ass and pussy that men want even if they have nothing else to offer.

The US is full of unhinged people, I absolutely believe it can happen.

In the US people don't do this. In countries like Mexico, India they would. But people in the US are antisocial and selfish. At most the bouncers would step in but for the most part nobody would do anything.

The average man is below average according to you. There is a wide gap between have and have not. What an average man's dating life looks like is having a long term relationship every once in awhile interspersed with dry spells in between that can be measured in years.

I am 100% sure you underrate those guys and if you objectively described them or shared pics they aren't actually 4/10 unless they're banging obese women, single moms and old ladies

I have spent a lot of time in commercial gyms. There are always significantly more dudes in the gym than girls at any time in any section, maybe you live somewhere like the east coast where there's more women but there's a reason there's like 1 major female fitness influencer for every 50 male ones.

Most women in those classes are out of shape. Live laugh love types. Starving themselves and drinking on the weekend types.

There are more men under age 50 than women. You're looking at survivorship bias.

Maybe you don't live in one of the sausage fest metros (the further west from NY you go the more men there are) but this is absolutely not the case from what I've seen. Most men who are jacked are usually with women who are less physically impressive. The ones who are with bigger women are definitely more desperate than anything and usually chubby chasers are not necessarily gravitating (ha) towards the 300+ lb massive women I've seen some jacked guys with. A lot of muscular men are deeply insec…

It's a huge difference when talking about 100 million+ people. And I'm also curious as to where and how those percentages were figured out, as seeing women who are actually in shape (and not just thin from starving themselves) is far less common than seeing men who are in shape.

we started hooking up before dating since I didn't want to be in a relationship at the time. As I got to know her I really liked her more and then we started dating. Knowing that if I had decided not to date her, stay "single" and keep hooking up with her and receiving girlfriend benefits while being allowed to bring other girls in bed with us, what would you think most guys in my position would have thought? Compared to being exclusive and not being able to sleep with other girls?

There is a distinction between overweight, obese and severely obese. Men who are very muscular and have maxed out their potential would be considered overweight even though they are fit, and obesity and especially severe obesity is more common in women than men.

Not at all. Ive seen so, so many absolute units of men with skinny fat and obese land whales of women and rarely the reverse.

We already heard this "teach men not to rape!" crap, It doesn't work. If that's the case then really we need to hold women to higher standards and teach them to choose better, because nobody does that anymore. The prime example I can think of are those guys who sleep around a lot and catch sexual assault cases in college, but continue sleeping around because they are really good looking. Ive literally known girls who have ignored those facts and slept with those guys because they explicitly ment…

I'll never understand the thought process - a girl I dated once said that she would only have a threesome with me if we were not in a serious relationship. Ironically she had very few boundaries in bed and that was pretty much the only one. Most girls seem to think like this and they don't realize that this type of behavior is off putting for people like me who would otherwise have been fine being in a relationship to realize that they get more from a girl if they avoid being boyfriend material.

Men significantly outnumber women in the prime dating ages. There are not enough women for men. The median woman is approaching menopause, fat, has lots of debt, and children. Being a young, single, fit, childless, debt free man means your equivalent in a woman is less than 5% of the population if not much less, and there are many more men who fit that description. That's why any decent looking (but not model level or anything special) , young, thin girl can literally be fwb/one night stands/gro…

Women are spoiled for options. When the median woman is 2.2 years older than men (roughly 40), fat, and has kids, saddled with debt and are outnumbered by men significantly in the prime dating ages, men just don't have the options. If you are a fit single childless man in their 20s in the US, your equivalent is less than 5% of the population, if not much smaller. This is before filtering for mental issues, character, and other important qualities in a woman. Compared to countries where the major…

The odds are heavily stacked against men, it doesn't matter what they do. They either play by unfair rules or not at all, because there are literally more prime dating age men than women in the country (and the world) You can't expect men with different cultural and religious expectations to adhere to the same strategy and have a mass boycott of the low quality women available especially because of how powerful men's sexual urges are - there is always a hotter and hornier guy than you willing to…

Reasons I don't like to pay 1) I feel like I am paying for a cheap, trashy, prostitute to spend their time with me 2) I don't feel genuine interest if I have to pay. A lot of women won't, and that specific girl you are with probably got with another guy with less hassle, meaning if I have to wine and dine her she doesn't like me as much. 3) There's no guarantee of anything just because of paying for a date, and I don't think there should be. 4) If you go on a lot of first or second dates and the…

But uh.... Statistically speaking there should be JUST as many 23 y/o boys and girls. that's how genetics works.* Wrong. It's been talked about in this sub and is a general fact that across the world the birth rate is 1.05 (on average) for boys to girls. Meaning for every 100 girls born, 105 boys are born. Since women outlive men and are less likely to die prematurely at the age of 45+ women start to outnumber men, but in the prime dating age which is below that there are more men than women, es…

From a guys perspective a woman who is too aloof or "playing hard to get" comes off as disinterested. Ultimately the relationship going nowhere is time wasted. Women focus a lot on vetting men and it's the same way the justice system treats criminals. Guilty until proven innocent, but once the man has overcome the burden of proving his innocence the damage is still done. You're free to dissect and scrutinize men for as long as you want, and I'm sorry if it seems harsh but there's only so long th…

I must be doing a really terrible job at explaining my position. That can't be true because there are other people in here who understood it just fine. I understood you just fine, and many people in here disagree with you besides me. You are convinced I have disdain for most men. I disagree but that isn't even related to the point I'm originally trying to discuss. It's clear from the way you talk you are a know-it-all who looks down on most people particularly men. It's not reasonable to continu…

In this sub having bare minimum knowledge and understanding of groups like FDS, TRP, etc should be required. That's why so many threads where people have the same circular arguments that end in stalemates where nobody is willing to concede keep happening. The whole point of this sub is to discuss the topics that those groups focus on, it's like having a religious studies group who have no knowledge about Christians, Muslims and jews but want to feud endlessly about their differences. You make th…

I'm still mostly of the opinion that looks are the most important part of the equation, but I will say that having low self esteem and no confidence/social calibration can also really hurt. Being ugly I still had high self esteem and had basic social skills and I've seen friends after high school who have physically grown up but are very awkward and unconfident and still do poorly with women. So to some extent I can see what you are saying, if you don't drop the "ugly" mindset you had before you…

Girls will mostly end up dating a guys that they don't like very much or aren't very attracted to. For most guy being extremely persistent and taking "no" to mean "not right now" or "not yet" is necessary to eventually get a "yes" because most guys are unlikely to end up running into a girl that is highly interested from the start and inclined to say yes right away. Many if not the majority of relationships, especially the ones you might see where the guy is average I know the girl initially sai…

This isn't a nuanced take at all, this is literally what every FDSer believes, which is that every man needs to be heavily scrutinized to make sure that they're a "born winner" and not "self-made" and not to give men any slack or sympathy. And assumes that women themselves don't need to be scrutinized the same way :)
